Roland17:He's a pure scorer and explodes when needed but he's not a team leader. His skills are more of talent than hardwork unlike Curry. Green is a better leader I will leave it at that... |
A40:If Curry got to the stripe as often as others, he would make 36ppg too. Remember, he's the only guy in NBA history to drop 50+pts with only one free throw And the warriors desperately need curry in game 3. Rip City handed them their largest defeat this season and I have a funny feeling Blazers will steal game 2 at the bay area. |
Can we get to the point where Cavs play Spurs/Warriors in the finals? ![]() |
Roland17:Ndo... |
Mizzzbeee:Lmao you really hate Clippers and James that much, eh? Don't worry dear, Cavs win today will be a blowout. No mistakes will be done today |
I also think Kawhi deserves his DPOY In other news, Valanciunas is torching these guys ![]() |
lynxnoon:How's the camera? I hope it wouldn't be a bother if you create a review thread. You might be the first in Nigeria using it and I was thinking of getting one for myself. |
Roland17:Then, why wasn't Valaciunas put back? I swore he had a injury or fouled out cos PG perimeter shots started entering. Just checked, Valaciunas only played 7 mins of the second half. WTF? |
Roland17:I think it's more of Pacers defense cos what I watched wasn't different from Raptors play all season Paul George went bunkers when Valaciunas fouled out. I don't think anyone on that roster can guard George all the way. I was thinking Pacers in 6 but if Raptors play the same way on Monday, then it's officially a sweep |
A40:It still generally does. If you shoot more, you make more but your percentage suffers for it. If you don't attempt, how will you make a basket? How many players this season have up to 200 3 pointers with 40% efficiency? Reddick, Curry, Thompson and probably J.R Smith. Every other is sub 40s. But when you make a stat with highest number of 3 pointers this season, Harden, Lillard, Lowry, Mccollum etc will come up cos they shot more but made less Most players with 40% or more in 3 pointers don't make up to 150 in a season. If you do, then you're a splash member. You go call Leonard a 3 point shooter? But he's no 3 in efficiency this season. |
Sweetlemon:He clearly wrote he's joking about the baby mama. Moreover, who snaps with a baby mama knowing fully well he's not going to marry her? This is different and very likely going to end up in a marriage since the man clearly flaunts her. He's probably waiting after NYSC, no one knows |
SmooshCHN:Now, you're being way too specific. You added his points and number of threes attempted. If you generally splash more, you make more. The true efficiency is your percentage made, bro If I go by your logic, then I'll be like: In Larry Bird's case, no player in the 50/40/90 ever had 29.9ppg and attempted 1650+ fgs at 53%. The closest to that is Curry 1598 at 50% ![]() Get my point? |
Mizzzbeee:Yeah, if they said that, they lied In 2007/2008, Steve Nash had a 51/47/91 season. He's the only other person with above 45 in a 50/45/90 season. Unless they're being specific about figures, then they're technically correct |
SIRcumalot:They weren't caught up o. Jazz comfortably led till the last 2 mins of the game when Kobe went Kobe on them : 5/5 from the field He's the highest points this season, one ahead of Davis' 59 |
How To Get Away With Murder Season 2: Big L 10 hours of my life I can't take back... |
Lol, I'm seeing a lot of "our", "us" and "we" nowadays on this thread. Are you guys really Warriors Fans all this while or joined this year? |
Readonee35L:What made you go for the Venza? |
sebod:Messi gives out pks that won't affect the outcome of the game. That's the team spirit, to increase the MSN's goal tally. I see nothing wrong with that, the only problem is for them to train themselves on the art of penalty taking. Messi won't give it out if the team is ahead by a lone goal or behind. That's why the team is how it is, unselfish and a model for other European clubs to emulate. |
Roland17:He played last night 25 points, 23 boards and 2 blocks Reached 300 blocks for heat |
SIRcumalot:No 3 all time? Tufiakwa!!! |
birdman:Everybody took Osogbo weed today Westbrook Durant Oladipo Wall Green Curry Hornets' 3rd quarter |
birdman:Unfuckinbelievable!!!!! |
kliq:IMO, Lillard and Rondo for Thompson and Aldridge respectively. Lillard plays SG while they can do away with a PF after all na charity match. Aldridge especially shouldn't be here cos his inconsistency stinks. For the east, away with Millsap and put Whiteside. Nobody, I mean nobody is a better defender this season than Whiteside. Again, na my own opinion... |
darkenedrebel:I fit send message join? Lol, just sent one... |
birdman:People ask this every time forgetting Lebron is in the East. Surely, Lebron sticks to the east knowing he's bound to reach the playoffs every season. And your number 2 question is not genuine. If I remember, Kevin Love was averaging numbers in monstrosity in a team like Minnesota before plummeting in Cleveland. Even Kyrie's stats didn't take a hit in Cavaliers bad seasons until Lebron came. Same thing could be said for Wade and Bosh. What makes you think Curry's numbers will take a hit when he already has another teammate averaging 20+ppg and another 7+apg. If for anything, Curry's numbers will dynamically increase. Lemme change the question a bit Put Lebron in a team like Lakers in the WEST!!! Will he still make playoffs? |
SmooshCHN:NBA has evolved. Players have adjusted their roles to be more efficient Nowadays, Centers shoot 3s, PFs get more rebounds, PGs have more points and SGs don't even go to the paint no more. The game has been modified for it to be equally efficient as the 90s. Does it change a thing? Probably less defence is seen but the improved offense balances it up and that's why Curry is way too versatile in doing what he does Call me old fashioned but I like what Rondo has done this season. He takes me back to the days of Stockton and Nash and should be appreciated for it |
SmooshCHN:This is what I culled as a definition from Wikipedia: A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position..... They are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right players at the right time...... A point guard's job is to create scoring opportunities for his/her team, or sometimes attack the basket....Point guards are often valued more for their assist totals than for their scoring. Another major evaluation factor is Assist-to-Turnover ratio, which reflects the decision-making skills of the player. Still, a first-rate point guard should also have a reasonably effective jump shot. Sporting Charts said.... The point guard is commonly referred to as the "floor general" or "a coach on the floor". The point guard should be able to run the offense, control the pace, and know how to distribute the ball. He is expected to be the primary ball handler on the court, and thus, every set offensive play typically starts with him. Some of the best pure point guards in the history of the NBA include Magic Johnson, Bob Cousy, Isiah Thomas, John Stockton, and Walt Frazier. Even Payton last 2 years Right now, there’s only three true point guards in the NBA. And people don’t understand what true point guards are. True point guards are a person who can take a basketball team and get assists, be a coach, score when he has to, play defense. I think Chris Paul does that very well, and I think Tony Parker does it very well. And people who don’t like the kid, Rondo, are crazy. I think his attitude might not be the way people want it to be, but Rondo is a great basketball player and a great point guard. He can do all of them things. Majority of point guards currently exhibit few of what a point guard does. Does it work for Curry, Lillard, et al? Yes because they're the best shooters/players in their teams and it shows with their stats but playing at that position originally isn't their forte. Why are two PGs then starting for the West at the All Star? You can use football as a guide. Some of the best players in the world don't play their true positions be it midfield or wing but they are efficient in scoring. In fact you win sef ![]() |
SmooshCHN:Lol. Are you talking about this season or previous seasons? The only elite in this list are CP3, Westbrook and Wall, probably Lillard Curry plays more of SG than PG, Irving plays more of SF sef. I no talk say curry is not the best player this season ooo, just said others play better at his position If you think Rondo is not in your top 2 or 3, probably you haven't watched Kings this season. His stats should be higher if Boogie could at least make 50% of his shots. Rondo can't reach his Celtics peak but he's a hair close this season. |
Donlittle:Yes, Rondo of the kings . He's the best "traditional/purest" PG in the West. Is he an all rounder or more athletic? No. That belongs to Westbrook. Kings couldn't even compete for playoffs until this season He leads the NBA with 11.8 assists, his assist/turnover ratio is the best. He's 5 triple doubles this season with a height of 6ft 1". Have you seen his crazy passes this season? He's back y'all... |
kliq:This voting process is crap. John Wall this season is the best pg in the East, Rondo in the West. Butler should be ahead of Wade and where are the centers? Still don't understand wetin Bryant dey do there. The coaches might include in the bench but as a starter? Come on... |
Decale:Said this last year but someone came for me, lol. Well except for the Love part, it seemed to repeat itself. The real finals this year at the WCF!!! |
