In this multi-religious and bi-poler nation like Nigeria, you can't win election by using only the minorities, In the Northern part of the country Christians are the Minorities, while in the Southern part also Muslims are the Minorities.
Looking at the above explanations, for a Minority from South (Muslim) to Win election, at least he must pick his running mate from the Northern Majority (Muslim), of which the chances of winning is very Slim.
Another calculation is that, we in the North, we didn't consider more especially Yoruba Muslims as Core Muslims based on two factors:-
1. Most of Yoruba Muslims attend Churches during their ceremonies, most of the time you can't even differentiate them. In short they consider Culture/Tribe as a unifying factor against religion.
2. Most Yorubas Muslims married from the church (with the exception of Kwara state Yorubas), and most of their Wives and Children are Christians.

We have seen the latter swallow many politicians who did so well in their various states. A good example is Tunde Fashola who people thought was going to perform miracles when he got three big portfolios.

In my opinion, Atiku gave excellent responses - although they weren't as detailed as I expected. If Atiku goes on a debate with Peter Obi, he would do so well because he knows the problems and solutions. However, Atiku's biggest problem is that Nigerians don't trust him because he has been called unprintable names in the past. Secondly, he may lack the political will to implement the solutions as his allies or businesses will be hurt in the process.

Go and ask Former President Obasanjo and throw the same question to him.

Some traders complained that when they go to register for PVC, the INEC Official finds out they are igbo, he tells them the registration form is not available, but once a Yoruba Person comes to register, he gives them registration form. I

I think those INEC Officials have been compromised to deny some people PVC registration...as if you don't have PVC, definitely you cannot vote.
