An unidentified thief today was paraded almost naked for stealing a cell phone at Opolo market Yenagoa Bayelsa state.

According the the residents of the area, the suspect has been snatching people's phone's forcefully along the market road at night.
However he ran out of luck today when he was caught to have stolen a woman's phone inside a church.

A crowd gathered to beat him but he was saved by an army officer who instead of jungle justice gave him a punishment. He was forced to swim inside a gutter and then he was given a place card that had the words - " I'm a thief boldly written on it. As he was paraded around the market, he was made to continuously recite "I'm a thief, I stole phone," while he was been whipped all over.
