President Donald Trump took a step toward politically disowning Alabama's Republican U.S. Senate candidate on Friday, saying he's confident that Judge Roy Moore 'will' quit the race if shocking sexual allegations against him are accurate. The Washington Post quoted four women on Thursday who said Moore made sexual overtures to them and touched them when they were 18 years old or younger. One accuser was 14 at the time, in 1979. 'Like most Americans the president believes we cannot allow a mere allegation, in this case one from many years ago, to destroy a person's life,' White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters aboard Air Force One as it descended toward Da Nang, Vietnam. 'However,' she continued, 'the president also believes that if these allegations are true, Judge Moore will do the right thing and step aside.' Moore, who is 70, married for three decades, and the father of four, denied any sexual impropriety. His campaign called the Post story 'fake news.' 'After over 40 years of public service, if any of these allegations were true, they would have been made public long before now,' the Moore campaign said in an email to supporters. Moore, an anti-establishment conservative and former judge, and Democrat Doug Jones face off in a special Senate election December 12 to replace Jeff Sessions, who is now U.S. attorney general. The stunning sex accusations reverberated through Washington immediately. 'If these allegations are true, he must step aside,' Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said. At least a dozen other Republicans followed suit. Senator John McCain, the 2008 Republican presidential nominee, immediately declared the allegations 'disqualifying' for Moore. 'He should immediately step aside and allow the people of Alabama to elect a candidate they can be proud of,' McCain said. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5069069/Trump-Moore-step-aside-sex-allegations-true.html?ito=whatsapp_share_article-aboverelatedarticles Cc lalasticlala

Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, the alleged billionaire kidnapper popularly called Evans, has lost as Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Lagos state high court, Igbosere, ruled on Friday, November 10, 2017, that he and his suspected accomplices all have cases to answer. The judge’s ruling came as Evans and the suspected accomplices face two separate charges filed against them by the Lagos state government. The court also fixed December 15, for the prosecution to open its case. Daily Sun reports that the two separate charges are on kidnap, possession of firearms, murder and attempted murder. The report said Evans, on October 23, rebuffed an attempt by the state government to arraign him and the other suspects. His argument was that the court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the charges. This forced Justice Taiwo to adjourn the trial till Friday, November 10, to hear the applications filed by Evans challenging the court’s jurisdiction to try him. One of the charges against Evans and the others, according to the report, includes an attempted kidnap of the chairman of The Young Shall Grow Motors, Vincent Amaechi Obianodo, for which the suspects pleaded not guilty. Evans was brought to the court with five of his alleged accomplices by heavily armed security agents at about 9:29 am. During the court appearance, the fifth defendant asked for a clearance of the charges against him including conspiracy and kidnapping with the argument that he is not guilty. The case was later stood down. It is worthy to note that this is the longest we've gone since the commencement of the trial. Source: Naija.ng Cc lalasticlala
