Every individual portal account in CAC online will always have NAME RESERVATION section, this is where all the name reservation results can be found and the second section is the COMPANY REGISTRATION section, this shows all company registration conducted or undergoing registration in that individual portal. That is where you show click on and print out your form. Thanks.

I register and pay for business name reservation through remitta, I was issue a receipt of payment but unfortunately the response I always got from CAC was pending even after a months of payment. I contacted CAC and claimed they have not receive anything about me from remmitta, wheni contacted remmitta I was told they process my data to CAC. I lost hope at the end cos I don't know you is saying the truth. pls help in what to do next

As long as you have made payment on your portal and a receipt have been issued by Remita in that effect, then the payment actually went through. You will have to refresh your payment. If the problem still persist, kindly contact us for assistance.

It all depends on what you are really applying for, if it is for exemption then that will be within a day but if your company business objectives is under DNFI category, then it might take a month or more depending if it is queried or not. That's it.

No Sir, that is not the point, the point is that for you to get your company TIN, you must apply manual to the nearest FIRS office within your registered business address with all your valid company CAC documents and a file will be opened in your company name. Yes there are some proposed company names or NGO names that requires consent codes. This can be solved by applying to the Corporate Affairs Commission in writing and it attract a fee of N5,000. After some days the code accompanied with the company name will be issued.

I got my company registered about 2 weeks ago but I don't have TIN number yet?

Good day Sir, the truth is that on before now (it started two years and ended last year), every company duly registered will also be automatically be registered with the FIRS for TIN (Tax Identification Number) however, this was stop early this year. I feel the reason is because most companies that benefited from this scheme did not bother to submit or file their manual company documents with the nearest FIRS MSTO within their domain. Every company must have a physical file with the FIRS MSTO within their registered address.

Pls house how do I knw if my documents were successfully uploaded? I did an upload for the past 3 days and no mail or text confirmation

The truth is that you will not get any mail notification or text confirmation for submitting your business name application. It is until CAC approve & issue you a BN or RC number, thats when you will get an Email notification stating that your company have been duly registered with a BN number.

To confirm after submission, kindly go back to the site of document upload, insert the serial number on approval note and check from time to time. If it is successful, it will be showing either processing or approved. Processing means it is yet to be approved while approved means it is newly approved but yet to get BN or RC number.

Firstly, for a change of name for an existing registered company (post-incorporation). There are quite a number of obligation that must first be fulfilled before CAC can effect the changes.
1. Have the company paid Annual Returns up to date.

2. A special resolution must be raised by the board of directors of the said company, stating reason for the change of name and the new proposed company name.

3. A new name search & availability must be initiated and the proposed new company name must be approve by CAC, the new approved company name must be filed along all other relevant documents.

4. An application for change in company name must be raise as well.

5. The prescribed fees must be paid.

6. Remember it must be filed by an accredited agent or a director in the company.

Secondly, change of director is almost the same procedure, just that the resolution will be an ordinary resolution. There will be application for CTCs. It is quite similar as the first application.
