thighwoh: I need help urgently guys. This would be the third time I would be posting this.

The Question:
Is it possible to go to the embassy with a bank statement that is different from the one entered in the DS-160 online form? The bank statements both have the same last names (i.e. They are brothers)..

Your candid advice would be appreciated sirs and ma'ams.

not advice-able but you may be lucky the vo may not even ask for it and if the vo asks for it,he/she may just glance tru and may not notice.pray

As for d I 20 date:u can put any date,nt necessarily d interview date infact its even better to back date it like a week before.
For ur transcript:I tink u don't have a choice other than to go wit dat baba

I have been accepted and granted admission for my graduate study this Fall. I'm also made to understand that my admission letter and I-20 should be here in a couple of days.

My questions are:-

(1) Do I wait for the admission letter and I-20 to get here first, before proceeding to pay the SEVIS fee and Visa fee?

(2) If no, how do I proceed with paying the SEVIS fee through the help of a friend in the U.S? I have a friend who can help me pay with a Money Order, but what do I need to do from here and what does my friend need to do?

i would advice you to receive ur i20 first becoz u cant proceed with d sevis payment unless you know the sevis number which is always on the i20.reax and wait for it bro.congrats.

Pls ETSU will like me to send my docs to dem tru postage and they said they cannot send my docs back to Nigeria but they can send it to any of my relatives in the US.
Is any body in the usa who can help receive this docs and mail dem back to me

I've not gotten troy's admission yet... They are still orientating the fall students... They don't have time for incoming spring students now till august 18th

i couldnt go for my interview today coz d agent i gave money to help pay for sevis fee didnt pay it.

pls i urgently need good schs that does not require sat or toefl though am taking the exams.
i just want to apply now then i can always take the exams before the interview date for spring.

TO PROSPECTIVE GRE AND TOEFL TEST TAKERS:

It is no longer a hidden fact that GRE and TOEFL
test takers in Nigeria cannot register for the test
online. Even someone registering on your behalf
from abroad is banned once the test taker would
still be writing in Nigeria.

Well, I have good news for you. Are you aware
that you could still register for the exam by
yourself, fast and at the lower official ETS test
fee? All you need to do is simply call ETS and
register! Its that simple. Just as you can call to
schedule a visa appointment, so can you call to
register for your GRE/TOEFL test! If saving money
is your priority, rather than wasting N50,000
needlessly on GRE agents and enriching their bank
accounts when you could simply do it yourself at
the cheaper official GRE price of $185(N29600) or
at $175(N28,000) for TOEFL, then this option is
best for you.

To register, you'll need the following:
1) Your GRE account login details on the ETS
website. If you don't have an account already,
quickly visit http://www.ets.org/gre to create your
account. For TOEFL, you'll need your TOEFL
account login details on the ETS website. If you
don't have an account already, quickly visit http://
www.ets.org/toefl to create your account.

2) A valid GTB MasterCard. I can't really vouch for
other types of debit cards because I've not used
them before. However, I'm sure of GTB MasterCard
because it never fails to work. Take note of the 16-

on the front of the card and lastly, the c.v.v code,
which is the 3-digit code printed on the back of

juntod: Of cos. You for 4get about the cash first. I know its hard to get, but first things first. Now you may have to pay application fee again. That is double wahala.

MsNas: When is your interview? If you still have like 2 or three days to spare, I will advise you to go pay the money at Seme Border. And go to the embassy for your Interview. Tell them you've paid, chances are that your ticket would have reflected on their system . Worst case scenario, they will tell you to come back for your interview. You risk losing your visa fee if you've cancelled before. Even if you haven't getting a date in August is a pain, you might miss resumption.
