Thank you Dommakavelli... I have made the decision to get a new start date. However, I am not sure whether I ll be given a new date. Here is what had happened earlier when I was submitting docs for admission...... I initially applied for Winter 2013 (January) and I had submitted all transcripts and documents before the September 1st application deadline EXCEPT my TOEFL result which I had to write in oct, 2012. So they said they can't process my admission for Jan except they change it to May 2013, so I said okay.... Now, in the mail sent to me to effect that change, graduate studies wrote "we have now changed your term from Jan to May on a ONE-TIME BASIS only". And later got the admission this January after submitting the TOEFL test score. Now I do not know if that will affect getting a new start date again.

Pple, what do U think will happen?

Nevertheless, I have mailed them to give me a new start date and I still await response from them.

earthgreeners: @deebla can actually go ahead with her application, he/she might just be lucky cos May applicants are always very few...But please do that fast cos Fall applicants would soon join the CDHC ''Queue"....2months and 23days mehn!!!!!!

I would suggest that you submit your application now...regardless of whether you have enough time or not. People who submitted in October last year for the January semester are just being called for medicals and asked to get a new start date. So why not wait for that explicit instruction from CDHC? It is actually somehow, that you were just sent a copy of your admission letter and you immediately request for deferral, the school would rather prefer that you have submitted your application, but experiencing delays from the embassy...on which note you would request for deferral/new start date.
That's my opinion tho'

seedgie: @deebla please go ahead wth ur application. U may be very lucky. Last year my friend got his TRV six weeks after he submited his application. some peeps submited oct 2012 for winter (jan) and they have done their medicals. CDHC is unpredictable.

kenniy: deebla.. you should consider earthgreener's correction as we actually have less than 3 months to may 1st from today..but i still say you apply now, with the mind set you will be getting another start date..abi? wouldnt it just be better than waiting to apply later.. maybe (very tiny chance, but still maybe) you might get lucky

kenniy: you are totally right. may till now is 4 months. I saw you apply. You could get lucky and they call you for medicals on time. but just as u said, if they are gonna consider you, they will simply tell you to get another start date, at that point you get it. I say if by april they havnt gotten to you, you can start working on getting a september resumption date in anticipation..

earthgreeners: Normally, If your admission letter gat multiple start dates, you can give it a shot. Atleast if u dnt meet up with the May1 date, you can meet up with September..

But in this case, I would advise you just calm down and apply for the regular Fall (September) start date so you can have enough time to prepare...

@earthgreen Mehn it doesn't av multiple dates o. My problem really is telling the school to send another letter dated for September when they av just COURIERED (not by regular post) the admission documents yesterday and hoping to arrive tomorrow. What it means is that they av spent money in doing that... Now me mailing them again to give me another start date barely a week after the letter was sent could look very unserious of me. I don't know if U understand me...

Thanks ifegy... Infact, the school just couriered the original admission letter and the CIC letter and will reach here by tomorrow hopefully. What if I apply now, will I be denied eventually even if I want to be approved because the time is short? Won't I be asked to get another admission letter even if the date is passed and I want to be given the TRV?
