I just got an email notification informing me that i had a message in mycic account. I've been asked to bring my passport to CDHC "to finalize processing of my application". I did medicals on July 11th and my results were sent to the embassy on the 25th. God is faithful!

First and foremost,I would like to commend oga Siga and co for the much attention given to Keyano palaver.I visited the embassy today,and answered the qustions of my life.
I was given a form to fill and state my reasons for coming.After some minutes,I was told to come inside.The coming"inside"turns out to be an interview.
She asked me about my high school,the gap in my education,and she said how would she know if I am a bonafide student.Then,she began to ask me questions in anatomy and physiology(I am going for nursing).like the functions of the heart,liver and ecosystem.As God may have it,I still retain the memories of those.after the series of questions,she said I will hear from them soon.
Nothing was talk about keyano and tuition payments.
This weekened is going to be a long one for me.

well, i think that is the statement you submitted, hence, your tuition is not expected to be paid from another account but it... so yes, it should be safe.

However, the embassy CANNOT know your sponsor's current account balance unless you have been asked to print another statement of account...

Truth is her statement won't be as fat as my uncles but I want to stick to family sponsorship. I really feel less confused after speaking to you guys

just as nasjay said, dont change your sponsor outrightly. U should just have your uncle write to the VO on the refusal grounds, and if at all your mum's account is gonna come in, let her jst be a co-sponsor.

Guys, please when going to CDHC, do you have to drop stuff like phones, bags, other electronics. Or can you go with them since you wouldn't be entering the embassy or it is still not permitted for anyone to take any of those items to the outside of CDHC....?

Electronic gadgets are not allowed. U will be asked to drop it with the security guys...

Onye oma: My people, let's reason this case logically...the following is my reason on why CDHC asks the applicant to pay tuition fee:
-Committment to the reason of ur coming into Canada

Has it ever crossed anyone's mind that if Mr A gets his visa without paying his tuition fee, he can reach Canada and decide to start up something else

N/B: Schools do not refund unless you give them concrete reasons for refund such as getting an admission with another school (cos they invited you to Canada,and any if anything goes wrong,they'll be accountable)

I don't feel financial capability is a reason cos they've already ascertained one's status while processing the documents.

Based on the points above, I feel tuition fee payment after being called for medicals is a pre-requisite for obtaining visa.

I've never seen anyone that was issued a TRV since part 1 of this thread without paying his/her tuition fee except the person is on scholarship (I stand to be corrected if am wrong).

Its way too risky to take any chance @ dis stage of ur application process...

But if @ d end of the day,it is proved otherwise, then it can adopted ßuђ before then,don't be the 1st to try it ooo,let others that don't know abt this thread try it out 1st.

I think it all depends on the situation sorrounding the application... Different applications with different situation...

I was at VFS this morningto receive my package and its a medical call.

It had instructions to go for medicals only. I am not on scholarship, though I had paid a pre-registration deposit of $2500.

Meanwhile, I av not gotten the medical instructions email from CDHC. Still waiting for the mail . If I don't get it by end of today, I'm going to CDHC tomoRrow.

I marvel seriously at those saying ayaba should have applied alone. If before the response of the embassy, she has presented her documents in this house, this same pple condenming her choice to apply with her family would have said "your application is tight, U ve got no problems". But now she's denied, everyone starts saying she should av applied alone. Nawa o.

As much as we all know, her application is tight... Though applications have flaws. But with her travel history and reasons for denial, it shows that it is possible that these pple called CDHC sometimes choose at random, applications to be denied and applications to be approved without checking through thoroughly. If travel history is part of what they look at, then how do we explain someone with no travel history that get visas?

I also perceive that the reasons given for refusal may be automated because, no VO in his/her right mind will say travel history is one of the grounds for her refusal.

Moral lesson: your documents quality is not a ticket for visa, only when God says yes

Baba, to the best of my knowledge, nothing like that dey. It'll have to stay on the queue. If its going to be approved, then you might be asked for a new start date.

But then, if God say U won't stay up to 4weeks to be called for medicals, who can say no? No one!

Its a process that takes less than an hour, just hold a passport photograph and a copy of your passport biodata page... Eerrmm I wouldn't know if the work on Saturdays and their closing time should be around 4pm.

It costs a maximum of 5K. Some have done it for 3k... It all depends on how you talk, no fixed price. (Talking about Lagos jurisdiction)

Are U talking about securing admission or submitting application? Any which way, your statement of result should do if ther cert is not yet ready...

As per whether its a must, I think so cos it the police HQs, depends on ur location. It takes about 1800 seconds or thereabout... Just go there with passport photo, copy of ur biodata page and hold like 4k - 5k
