VCTROKOYE: My guy since you have a new passport, don't declare you have been denied before. I was once denied, I have never declared and yet I have traveled world wide. The denial was in the old passport. but I have ecowas now
Thanks boss... God dey

justwise: Be honest and explain why you were refused a visa (if you can remember) Being honest can only give your application some credibility, don't give them an excuse to deny you a visa.

Were you banned by the UK embassy when you were denied a visa in 2008? Did you give your fingerprint at that time?
Thanks... And no, I wasn't banned. Yes I gave fingerprint

mozo: True talk, I know someone that was denied US visa 5 times, he didn't mention it, and as I talk to you he is on his way to Canada. But like Goldie said its a thing of choice, being honest about it could add to your credibility.. The choice really is up to you my guy.
Thanks

Goldie20: it not really that of a big deal, i've seen people that were denied u.s visa 3 times, but applied for their canadian trv, and was honest about it and still got it, i have come across people that were denied visa lied abt it and still got their TRV.. it actually a risk thing but you gotta put in mind tho, if you lie about it and they find out, that misinterpretation.. and the penalty for that is 2 years ban..

been denied a UK visa does'nt decide your fate about your canadian permit..

just being real.. Good luck
Phew! Alright thanks sir, I appreciate ur advice.

mozo: Sorry bro, as long as there is a denial stamp on your passport, it will be wise to explain it, there's no running from it, assuming you got denied without any stamp, would have been a different case entirely.
Thanks ... But fortunately for me, the UK refusal was in 2008 and it was an old passport(not ecowas pee) and I got the ecowas passport after then, so there's no stamp on it... Is it safe to say I've not been refused b4?

Peeps pls help. I'm submitting my application tomorrow and I need help please.

1. Am I going to submit photocopy of every original documents including the letters addressed to CDHC like letter of sponsorship, letter of intent and reference letter from bank?

2. The checklist has really changed. No provision for submission of things like degree certificate, waec certificate, and some more. Will I still submit all these even though they were not asked for? Cos mehn, that checklist don too simple now.

3. No student questionnaire is provided any more. Does it mean I do not need to fill and submit any questionnaire form? Because if not that I had tried to apply before, I wouldn't have know there is something called student questionnaire is submitted with the application...

I await ur replies

Nuendo: Copy of intl passport of your sponsor.
letter of reference/introduction from his employer stating who he is etc ( if hez not self employed )
Letter of incorporation / tax clearance etc (if he is self employed)
Letter of sponsorship (stating his relationship with you and why he would sponsor u)
Affidavit of sponsorship (swearing in d court)
Bank statements showing proof of sufficient funds to take care of tuition + living expenses
Other proofs of strong financial standing e.g landed property, share certs , pension plan etc.

Please try visiting the CIC website for the specific requirements.

Does it mean he doesn't need tax clearance or receipt if he's a salary earner?

kenniy: one good way is ur dad indicating in that letter that he intends to invest the bulk of that retirement money in - insert whatever tickles ur fancy here - hence he is sending u to canada to get a very good education so that u can come back and manage it for him.. u can take that little idea and craft it as wild as u wanna
@kenniy sadly I'm put in for Masters in Information System Security Management and the business is on Construction stuff... U see that doesn't link up. The issue of home tie is really giving me headache. Any idea bros and my pple?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 4 by deebla: 3:46pm On Mar 29, 2013
Robbie37: @deebla in addittion, I would suggest you submit a letter signed by both your parents entailing their desire to fund your education in Canada, you may want to highlight that it's the reason why they put all those years in service and they are committed to channeling the fruit of the labour into sponsoring you to any desired height. Add of course an affidavit for each parent. You can spin your home tie gist through them too. May God grant you wisdom, in the end that's what really matters.
Bro, I appreciate it... But really, I need U to enlighten me on how to bring about the home tie stuff through family, but I can figure one out. Please raise me an idea

Onye oma: A letter from his former employer stating that it is retirement allocation and also a letter from your dad also saying that he wishes to use the money for ur postgraduate studies shud do the job and clear their doubt.

In your mum's case, she should also write a letter explaining that she retired in january, hence the sudden slowdown of activities in her account (as part of her salary payment will reflect in the early part of the statement of account),and that she has been collecting her pension by hand.

A court affidavit by the both of them (if both of them are to be your sponsor) to see you thruout ur stay in Canny will seal up the whole case.

Any additional input by the veterans in the house will be appreciated...
Thanks very much bro

olawunmi_samuel: Wait till the 25m enter's your dad's account before you apply for visa. So it will reflect on his statement of account.
Yes of course, just worried about the sudden drop
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 4 by deebla: 10:56am On Mar 29, 2013
Please house I need advice. I'm planning to submit my application in two weeks time and there is an irregularity in my sponsor's account. My dad and mum are my sponsors. My dad's account balance has been less than 1m naira with good activity but in this coming week, an amount of close to 25M naira will drop there as his entitlement following retirement. That was the money I'd been waiting for tho. My mum has about 5m naira in her account and activity kinda stopped since January cos she retired in dec and since been collecting her pension by hand. A business has jst been registered in their names to prove that's what they wanna do as they have now retired both. Is there any smell of query concerning this accounts?

Pls I await ur replies

onuawuchi: There is concordia University college in Alberta and Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. I think the college is an extension of the University offering specialised certificate and independent degree programs. You can visit 4icu for universities ranking in Canada.
Nope, its not an extension... An entirely different school. www.concordia.ca and www.concordia.ab.ca
