All my documents have my complete name(Surname, Firstname and Middlename) except my degree certificate which has two (Surname and Firstname).
In regards to UKVI, can affidavit be enough to solve this.
Other suggestions are welcome.
If you have or know someone with similar situation, kindly share the experience.
Thanks. |

Thanks for your input. Gloriyah: 1. You can use your business registration certificate to cover the study gap. You can also include a letter of introduction about your business and also explain why you’re just registering the business (dunno if it would help but it’s an option)
2. Since you’re looking at September intake for next year, you should be able to correct the mistake on your certificate since you said it’s an error from the school. |

Good day @duchess90, @Gloriyah, @justwise ...
Please I need your candid advice and guidance.
My Bsc certificate has 2011 date.
My NYSC covers 2012-2013 I had a job between 2014-2016, but I have been self-employed since 2017 till date.
1. I intend putting application towards next year September intake, but would love to ask if my self-employment can cover for study gap (2017 upward), because I'm just about to get the business registered; won't there be issues since I wanted to use the business to cover study gap from 2017, but I'm just registering it in 2022.
2. My middle name is missing on my Bsc certificate as a result of an error on the part of my school, it only carries my Surname and first name.
Although I used the certificate to secure admissions in the UK schools, because I thought I would be able to make it for this year's September intake.
But now, I'm working towards next year, to this end, after securing admission towards next year, would love to ask if there won't be issue at the Visa stage or is there anything I should do to avert any issue.
Thanks. |

ConnectMee: This video was from 3 years ago, before UK reintroduced the post study visa. So this voids your arguments.
And for your information the PSW route was only reintroduced on July 1, 2021. So you can't use a video that is 2 years earlier as the basis of your arguments.
Please let people make their decisions and stop scaring them off. Thanks for letting him know. The guy has been engaging in blind argument all along. He should learn not to belong to the class of people who spread information carelessly without taking time to dig deep to know if it's real, outdated or totally fake. |

Happychioma: Pls I'm new to this family and I'm delighted I was introduced to this platform owing to what I hv read so far.
Kindly assist me were necessary.
I applied to these schools for for September intake University of the west of Scotland University of Dundee University of Sunderland University of Portsmouth Teesside university My questions are 1. Which of these schools is most favourable in term of ROI. 2. Do I need a POF for my CAS to be issued 3. I hv 4 kids ages 12,10, 9,5, and a dependent spouse 4. What is the possibility of issuing us visas if we apply to travel together even if all documents n pof are met. 5. Do I compulsory need an ielts to apply for the visa 5. Is there a tier 4 interview for primary applicant n another for dependent spouse 6. Can anyone help with d steps in applying for visa? Thanks a lot for your candid n prompt reply. I'll answer to the best of my knowledge, others can add their views too.. 1. I don't know, but there has not been too many positive feedback from Teesside, based on delay in CAS issuance or so, you can hear from others who would also contribute to your question. 2. Not all schools require POF before CAS, you may need to check the CAS issuance guidelines of each of the school you applied to confirm where they belong. 3. Dependants is never a barrier, even if you're family of 10 , the chances are very high that you'll get approval. 4. You don't compulsorily need IELTS to apply for Visa, you may just need to upload whatever English Language certificate you used while applying to your school, this may be WAEC, NECO or English language proficiency letter from your University. 5. No interview for the primary applicant or dependants 6. You can check through the thread for steps to applying for Visa |

AlphaUno: The total required for her POF was £34,450 (bal of tuition, and maintenance for all) and was what she converted to naira around 19m + (560/pound in early February) but she had 21.8m in the account to make room for forex fluctuations.
So while the Naira kept gaining against d pounds due to Ukraine war, it was @ her advantage. With the oanda rate of 540 to a pound as at when application was with U K V I, the applicant was having about £40k in d account when converted
Both VF and IHS are per person Visa fee £705 being a one year course
IHS £348 (it's now £363) I guess you wanted to say.. IHS £705 being a one year course VISA FEE £348 (it's now £363) |

bigtt76: Very insightful Twitter space session https://twitter.com/i/spaces/1BRJjnLezDvJw?s=20
For those using agents fast forward to 3:00:00 I was at the space yesterday. In fact, I think it relates to the guy with "Sophia" marriage issue. It could be that the agent planned to bring in the Sophia as dependant in case the guy scale through to the UK, just like the case of the guy in University of Derby who is now in a very big problem with the home office because of these agents wahala. My take on this is that, if possible, learn to do this japa things yourself, especially of it's through student route, these agents are putting people in big problem they might not get out off. I have another good example of someone, where a NSF mail was sent to an applicant regarding the Visa application submitted, but the student was not aware because it was only the agent that has access to the email account, sadly, this said agent only checked his email when the timeline was just few days to expire and was unable to meet up with the request. That was how money got wasted. |

DuBooVay: Money is the edge in this uk. There are some rental sites i think spareroom indicates rooms for couples, unsure but check. You may have to pay 50 to 150 more in some rentals because youre a couple, all depends. But youre not at a serious disadvantage compared to those with kids. Also, when you arrive, try to get a job ASAP, may not be the job of your dreams but for the while, landlords like to rent to people who are working Thanks for your input. |

Santa10: What about Public Health please I learnt job competition for Public Health is high and that international student are at a disadvantage compared to home students. NB: A Nigerian who is a Public Health lecturer in one of the UK Universities said this. You may wait for others opinion on this as well. |

DuBooVay: If you're single its easier to get accomodation. With four months rent youre safe to an extent, most properties ask for deposit which isnt part of your rent(held and returned when you exit the property if no damage is done In most cases, one month equivalent of your rent as deposit and then one month rent in advance. Try spareroom and openrent as youre most likely to be dealing with the direct person renting Thanks for the insight. It's me and my wife that will be staying together. What are our chances, since it appears those who are single have an edge ? What else can we do differently, to have an edge in getting the accommodation amidst the high competition. |

OJURONGBE1: Yes, you have an edge, although you still have to hustle for it. Most people travelled with the mindset of paying for one month rent but the reality is that many landlords are asking for more especially, when they found out you're a student. Except you have someone over there who could do the runs ( with his criminal background check & statement of account), heed to my advice. Thanks for this candid advice. |
