Today 4 People were stabbed to death while sleeping in their home in South London, did you find any negative comment from the citizens they way we do here?
Was it over blown in the press the way they do here?
No be one lunatic went to shoot people at New York subway past week?
My point is it rains everywhere, Crime and Terrorism has no boundaries, every society has its own share, don't run down your home because you have little privilege of venturing out thinking you can sink the ship.

These long and irrelevant messages make it difficult to read quality information that people come to look for on this thread.
Y'all can get another thread to argue about whether you want to stay or leave Nigeria.

Joe6648:
U people who think you can dissuade the average Nigerian from the japa movement by sounding discouraging or like it will be a very difficult, challenging, and impossible experience, u are greatly wasting your time, the more you dissuade the more interested and propelled a Nigerian become, trust me some of us av seen worse. Ask those Nigerians who refused to comeback from a war striking country like Ukraine, some felt it was way better to die their than to come back, imagine that.... Anyway, firstly, their are various categories of people living this country; The rich, who can afford not just to invest in their children but invest for them as well, these ones can come home cos they have it both ways. The second, those who can invest in their children but not for them (mostly the average Nigerian) these ones don't see a country with a vision, they have seen Nigeria rapidly decline to what it is today, from good to bad to worst, and are afraid that the future holds no favorable plans or outcome for their offsprings so they invest in them, in countries with a vision that is favorable base on their subjective idea of what they deem a favorable future for their children looks like. Lastly the have not, they mostly have to borrow to invest in their children's future, they suffered from the deteriorating educational, financial, political and all round system of Nigeria, so they av a very traumatic nd negatively impacted idea of Nigeria as a result of being at the bottom, and are therefore willing to do whatever it takes to make sure their offsprings don't experience the same hardships as they did. Whichever category you find yourself will influence your idea/perception of the Japa movement. No perception is similar, but please no one should negate or sound reductive about other peoples reasons to want to japa, it all comes from somewhere. All we should do as a community that strives to be better than the ones before us is to help each other make the best decisions for the japa movement not to sound discouraging or reductive, but support with information or tangibles to help each other get the best from this japa movement. If you see someone doing it the wrong way try to support not just scold and talk from a place of privilege but from understanding, all fingers no dey equal, yet, na only together dey fit carry something. Success to all our japa movement plans....

Bittered?
Some of you are so funny, bittered for speaking the truth? bittered for telling them not to hoodwink people with their deceptive reason?
Go back to the first comment i made, may be that will speak a little sense into you head.
No one stopped you from leaving, you can leave for where ever and never come back, how does that affect me?
Those who left for Ukraine said more than this, but they are back to the same "shit hole" now.
I don't write to tantalize your fantasy,i wrote to prepare people's mind,i write to inform them of what a lot of the people won't tell them.
As for security and safety, you could actually be mugged and killed because of your mobile device same way people are being killed here, Robbers do Rob home's,at least those superstars whose home's were burgled in UK and Europe is an attestation.
it rains everywhere,my point

I have been trying to book it online but it's not going through I don't know what's going on with their website.

It depends on the phone you use. It used to open on my Android phone with Chrome but since 1yr,it doesn't open on it again.
If you use 'New Incognito tab' instead of Chrome, it will open automatically.
Look at the right hand on your search engine or chrome, you will see 3dots like: click it you will see 'New Incognito tab'.
Use https://mymedical.iom.int/apps/omas/#_frmConfirmation

Well it depends on your career and your goal in life.

An average IT support earns 150k - 250k per month here which practically finishes without savings at the end of the month BUT same IT support can earn as low as £3k - £4 k per month.

Let us assume 50% goes with all expenses including tax, £1,500 - £2,000 balance remaining will make you know this process is worth it when you convert it to Naira @ N780/£ and duly enjoy basic amenities you are been taxed for.

grin grin

You deserve an award

I repeat na poverty dey drive people, take it or leave it, being a nurse or Dr does not immune you against poverty,a university professor is not a ticket to huge wealth,if you think i am lying check the salaries of university professor in uk,most of them are around £32,000 -£45,000.
When I say poverty,it is not the absence of money alone, poverty of the mind is the worse which is more rampant these days, it has to do with what has been ingrained into our brains, your "Rich Boss" who abandoned his business to seek PR is only rich in currency but not in business or managerial acumen,he must have been those who suddenly found themselves on top.
Lastly, you see those who are leaving because you are hell bent on leaving, because that is the only thing that make sense to you,no qualms, but i see so many who are back from the same journey.
Those business ideas and innovations you see around are the handiwork of returnees, some of the best specialist Hospitals you see around today are own by them, the finance house's,the Fintechs, the IT Servicing companies, the oil servicing companies, the independent Media and what have you.
I am not against any going anywhere, but i can assure you that in 10yrs time you will be back to same Nigeria to come and make money/impact.
Just go and add value to yourself but no too put mind

Just read what you wrote once again,
one time you are supporting yourself, the other time supporting him.
You mean most of the companies are owned by RETURNEES?, allow him to go first, make solid money to build companies(to stop working for people) and surely, I bet you, he will gladly with a joyful heart become a full fledged returnee with a company in Nigeria.
I doubt how many years it will take him in Nigeria here working for others and keep referring them as "My boss" to make the kind money use in building company in this present economy.

you UK oldies always mention on a daily basis here on this thread...
Most of you guys have already bought/mortgage houses all over UK.
Most of you guys sells pounds everyday, does pounds grow on trees in UK?, I dont know.
Most of you guys are house owners in UK, those ones may be enough for most Nigerians, if they can attain that same level in life.

Bros, you're now sounding like a broken record...how dare you compare security in the UK with that of Nigeria? Between January and now how many people have been 'unnecessarily' killed in Nigeria and how many in the UK? No country is completely safe but the security situation is at the lowest ebb.

It's rare to hear that a Nigerian living in UK, US, Australia and Canada died, I dont think I have heard something like that, they all live as much years as they want and still come back to Nigeria to meet many of their friends and family members already dead.

With all these bills you stated above, a lot of Nigerians are in the UK thriving and doing great things back home.

I know a graduate who worked in Nigeria for 35 years and was able to build just one bungalow and doesn't have a car till today . I also know a non-graduate(Nigerian) who's has lived and worked in the UK for just 8 year and has 10 houses in Nigeria and two in the UK and also changing cars like handkerchief...this is the type of story that drive Nigerians.

SMH. Please stop this

Lower your expectations, Lower your expectations and Lower your expectations.
There are also people buying houses in Nigeria even without mortgage.

Nobody is telling anyone not to come to the UK but coming here may not the solution to your problems

Again… Lower your expectations
