Yeah they just jump into decisions without thinking it through.

Then Mr Enaibe (Anatomy ) and Mr. Adebayo (Biochemistry) taught us well in 2000-01. I learnt they are PhDs now...

Time flies

Mr Enaibe is now Dr Enaibe (Associate Professor).....

This scholarship will be paid through a World Bank prepaid card that will be sent directly to you through your institution department from the 15th of March, 2017 with a letter indicating that it can be used for tuition fees, or books, and should be treated as a scholarship of additional funds to you, not simply to “replace” other college funds given in your financial packet.

Deferment of Scholarship:
Scholarships may be deferred for no longer than 1 year in extenuating circumstances provided the college or university also grants a deferral for the same time period. Awardees who want to defer this scholarship must contact us in writing stating why they wish to defer and when they intend to enroll. Our staff may request additional information or proof of extenuating circumstances and reserve the right to deny the request, in which case the awardee forfeits the scholarship.

Please feel free to contact us immediately if your school plans change or you have a change of address.

Congratulations again on receiving this award and good luck with your studies.

NYSC / Re: This Is What Really Happened To The Corper Who Died In Zamfara State by deedrizzie: 9:04am On Dec 15, 2016
butanep:

I didn't say they know nothing about their job. I only said they have not gotten enough experience to handle complex cases. It cut across all disciplines. Experience is a function of time and specialisation. Corper doctor are fresh graduate and they should be assisted by an experienced doctor who has been in the field for years.

There is different between being qualified and an experienced person. You might be qualified but not experienced in that field. If you go to teaching hospitals, corper doctors or doctors from medical schools are attached to a main doctor. There is a limit to what they can do. Most of them make careless mistake because of their naivety which have sent many lives to their graves.

Now sir, i agree with you completely... and you could hit the nail on the head more... i opine that each camp should have a consultant GP (general practitioner) on ground... assisted by the many corper doctors present. However, i still feel qualification and what is what is secondary, FACILITIES need to be improved... i mean, bro... see those toilets! I've since lost count of the various bacteria that can give rise to countless pathological conditions from looking at those photos. God Bless Nigeria!

So you guyz are experienced doctors?

Mr man calm down... most corper doctor don't even know what to do when they see complex cases.

They only know how to treat malaria and body pains.

Now... "experience" is not a word I'd use lightly in medicine... but baba, really.. do u have an idea how hard it is to graduate from Medical school??...mediocrity can't survive.... I'm not saying mistakes can't be made oo... but imagine, you go to school... longer than the average person, and someone comes to tell u that u know nothing about yr job?... Haba!
NYSC / Re: This Is What Really Happened To The Corper Who Died In Zamfara State by deedrizzie: 1:47pm On Dec 14, 2016
@OP....i sense the passion, and i share it too. However, I'd like to correct the statement that corper doctors are "FRESH GRADUATES"... THIS IS 100% WRONG. As they have already gone through the compulsory 1 YR HOUSEMANSHIP/INTERNSHIP TRAINING at a TEACHING HOSPITAL, after induction. So that's 7yrs of medical training BEFORE NYSC, so please, we may blame the system and facilities...but definitely not we doctors. Thank You

Health / Man Sues Hospital $5m For Turning His Son Gay by deedrizzie: 10:33am On Oct 08, 2016
This story seems iffy but interesting, lol. A 42-year-old Army Vet Curtis McPullout said he would rather have his 3 year old son have the flu than be twerking in the mirror. McPullout made this statement after taking his 3-year-old son to an East Atlanta Medical unit. He said his son was a regular child before he got the shot.He said:'You could find him laughing, playing outside and beatingoff to The Jet Beauty Of The Week. Then the boy gets the shot becomes a cowboys fan and starts taking duck lip selfies'.The McPullout’s sued the hospital for $5m and surprisingly, he won.He said they were happy with the decision the courts made and that he will be taking his son to Brazil for a three-month rehabilitation program geared to bring boys back to the other side, which seems to be working out well.
