BlackfireX: Muslims were calling God father? Is Allah a father in the Quran? That is shirk?
Do you even know what you are talking about?
Christians have been using the word Al Rabb hundreds of years before Arabs adopted it.
I know you don't know Al RAHMAN Al RAHIM were used by Syriac Christain Aramaic in there liturgy and lexicon and hyms in praising Yasua and Ruh Al Qudus.... that is Jesus and holy spirit.
Back to the topic is ALLAH A FATHER IN THE QURAN? That Allah is a father or not has not been part of my Argument. You can reread my arguments slowly. |
Islam › Re: The Correct Meaning Of ‘laa Ilaaha Illa Allaah’ – By Shaikh Ibn Baaz by Deeeepandholy(m): 1:46pm On Apr 20 |
BlackfireX: Don't mixup the point.
Syriac Christains were using Al Rabb hundreds of years before Muslims adopted it, even when they don't know what it is Very shallow level of thinking, I wonder what your actual point is. Yorubas traditionalists have been using Elédùà and Olú-òrun to refer to a divine being above the sky, superior to all Orisas (gods) years before Christianity entered Nigeria. Yet South western Christians today use the same words to refer to their God. So Any Yoruba traditionalist coming out today to discredit the word Eledumare and Olorun because Christians are using is only making a fool of himself. The Words in Arabic and Aramaic have existed before the existence of Christianity. So my point is, The same words Jesus used and prayed to at the point of his believed death on the cross and the same words that Muslims and Arab Christians use and pray to today have the same semitic Origin. So you, wherever you are from, trying to discredit the word “Allah” because Muslims are using it with whatever you believe in amounts to only making a fool of yourself. And whatever you are trying to do will only make any sense to you and your likes. |

BlackfireX: I know you depend on Ai But you are clearly mistaken....Arab Christians used this to describe there GOD....though they used Allah occasionally but they use this must AL RABB MARYA
Just as they used isa for Jesus before but now uses YASUA because isa is a derogative name and no meaning.
Do you understand If you have done your research well, you would know that both Arab Christians and Muslims use AL-RABB (The Lord). You will find it well inside Both Quran and Arabic Bible. The same way they both use Allah. |

BlackfireX: Good morning... let's go with your assertion
Jesus called Allah Father....is Allah Father in the Quran?
Please answer Jesus called God “Eloi” which has the same semitic Origin with the word “Allah”. Jesus also called God “Abba” which means Father. The word also has the same origin with the word “Abu” in Arabic, which also means Father. This further proves what i said that what Jesus called God is much more closer to what Muslims are calling it than what many Christians are calling it. |

CharlotteFlair: Your machine learner notwithstanding, the Allah of the Islamic religion is not same as the Judeo-Christian God, neither is Jesus Christ. You have shifted goal post Of course there are never the same, i never said they are. one is just one entity, the other is Three entities. The meaning of the words is what i educated you on, not how you choose to use it. |
Islam › Re: The Correct Meaning Of ‘laa Ilaaha Illa Allaah’ – By Shaikh Ibn Baaz by Deeeepandholy(m): 8:04pm On Apr 17 |
CharlotteFlair: I don't know the Jesus you are talking about, but nothing connects the Jesus Christ I know to Allah, which research has shown to have roots in idolatory. The Kaaba which you revere is historically reputed to house 360 gods which Allah was the most significant.
In Yoruba language for example, Ori is head, while Ori pronounced differently is Shea butter, written down on paper, you could mistake both to be same. Eloi, elohim etc are not derivatives of Allah. They don't spell same and don't sound same .
Mohameds father's name was Abd'Allah, so many Arabian males had it too added to their names long before Mohamed and his Islam were birthirted. Mohameds conversion of it and people's forceful acceptance of it doesn't equate it to the Judeo-Christian God. okay, You can keep lying to yourself anyway. That’s what you people do.

Freedom4us: The fact that while speaking english you say allah NOT God, shows that allah is a name not a translation for God.
Afterall
Afterall In Surah 4:171 they say "Allah is only One God." NOT "Allah is only One Allah."
If allah means God, than why not say "Allah is only One Allah.", instead of "Allah is only one God"?
They cant say that becos allah does not mean God but a name of the god of islam,
Surah 4:171 O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, “Three”; desist – it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth.
which is not the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
Hence Allah is NOT God
Remember the secret document that they signed sometime. If allah is arabic for God, why has the name allah appeared on a page in English? All this explanation just to prove nothing. Muslims prefer to use the Arabic translation of God because they mostly pray in Arabic. Christian Arabs also use Allah Even Jesus himself spoke Semitic language, a language in the same family with Arabic. He called God Elah/Elahi/Eloi which probably sounded closer to Allah than any name you Morden Christians use. ——————————- Semitic languages and the word “God” • Aramaic (Jesus’ language): Elahi / Eloi / Elah • Hebrew: Elohim • Arabic: Allah / Al-ilah / Ilah |

Career › Launching a Career in 2024: Advise a Fresh Graduate by Deeeepandholy(op): 3:48pm On Sep 12, 2023 |
Hello Nairaland,
I am a recent graduate from a reputable federal university in Nigeria, and I have just completed my one-year mandatory national service. It has always been my dream to join the military or any paramilitary organization in Nigeria (joining the DSS is my top preference) however I am unsure of the steps to take. I understand the value of having the right information, especially in our country, and I'm hoping to benefit from the knowledge of fellow Nairalanders to gather relevant information that can assist me and others.
With that in mind, I seek counsel from Nairalanders who possess knowledge about aspects of my career choice that I may not be familiar with. I hold a BSc in Psychology (2:1). I know what I read and I am truly dedicated to this path.
What should I know? How should I go about it? When do they start recruitment? What are the requirements?
Thank you.
Please Note: I am not looking for unethical means to achieve my goal, and constructive criticism is also welcome as long as it is relevant.
