Our musicians seem to have gotten lucky with the mediocrity (in terms of money making). The story is different for the Nollywood stars save for the few (especially the ladies) who became rich through endorsement deals, adverts and some other means.

Our musicians still have a share of it though. I don't see any of our musicians that get regular invites for shows bagging a Grammy any soon except for 2face. I was on IG in the early hours of the morning and I saw a video uploaded by Reekado Banks (I love his music though) of one of his latest stage performance. He was kinda freestyling Katapot (instruments off - just his voice and the mic).. Tbh, dude's voice was so crude and the girls were screaming and reaching out to touch him like it's an angel singing. With all these unnecessary hype, they probably will never see their mediocrity.

That video got me thinking of finding a way to release a single which will be produced by Don Jazzy. If those guys could become stars in Nigeria with their crude voices and average (below average for most of them) talents, imagine how I'll blow if given the same privilege. [/b][/color]

Yeah. Most of these guys are over hyped abeg. I don't see what these people see in Rekaado tho. We have very few Nigerian musicians that are good vocally.

Too much mediocrity to be honest. That's why thier songs fade off too quickly.. And thier songs swept under the carpet quickly too. I nor too blame them sha. They gats pay bills nau. Save for Tuface, Praiz, banky, Timi, and some few others. Most of them are wack vocally. Iyanya has a nice voice too, but when vocals wasn't gonna pay his bills, dude gat no choice than to quickly switch to "kukere" sharperly
