1. George Benson and Johnnie Lee:
married 1965 (57 years). They have seven sons (sadly three are deceased). A devout family man and a member of Jehovah Witness, Benson chooses to write music that focuses on love and romance, rather than sexuality.

2. Dolly Parton and Carl Dean:
married 1966 (56 years). They do not have children for various reasons - health and professional.
Parton said: "If we'd had a girl, she was gonna be called Carla... Anyway, we talked about it, and we dreamed it, but it wasn't meant to be."
Parton said she would have felt “guilty” about leaving children to go on tour, saying she wouldn’t have been “a star” if she had a family.

3. Marlon Jackson and Carol Ann Parker: married 1975 (47 years). Marlon, who is Michael Jackson's immediate elder brother, got married at 18. He has miraculously stayed married to the same woman in spite of the high rate of divorces among his siblings. He has three children and six grandchildren.

4. Alice Cooper and Sheryl Goddard: married 1976 (46 years). The Godfather of Shock Rock whose life was ravaged by drugs and alcohol, has defied logic by staying married. In November 1983, at the height of Cooper's alcoholism, Goddard filed for divorce, but about six months later, they reconciled. They have three children - two daughters and a son.
Now a born again Christian, Cooper credits Jesus for curing him of alcoholism.

5. Billy Ocean and Judy Bayne:
married 1978 (44 years). He first met her when he was 15 and they got married when he was 28. They have three children. At the peak of his impressive career Ocean took a break to help his wife raise their children. Even though his music suffered, he has no regrets. Ocean revealed that his greatest fear was “my kids not having enough to eat or be homeless.”
His son Antony competed in the rugby sevens at the 2014 Commonwealth Games for Barbados.

6. Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach:
married in 1981 (41 years). A member of the famous Beatles, Ringo Starr's first marriage to Maureen Cox ended because of his frequent infidelities. He also admitted that he was "a drunk, a wife-beater and an absent father". For years Starr and Bach struggled with alcoholism and heavy drug use. Finally they both checked into a rehab in 1988 for four weeks. The couple have remained sober ever since.
Starr was the first member of the Beatles to become a grandfather and also the first to be a great grandfather.

7. Bono and Ali Hewson:
married 1982 (40 years)
They started dating when she was 15 and he was 17. He was 22 when they got married.
Their marriage has been considered one of the most long-lived and stable in the notorious entertainment world. Bono said, "She will not be worn like a brooch. We have a stormy relationship because she is her own woman." Over the years, Hewson has served as inspiration for many Bono-authored U2 songs.

8. Keith Richards and Patti Hanson:
married on his 40th birthday in 1983 (39 years) but they had lived together since 1979 (43 years).
Co-founder of the Rolling Stones, Richards is notorious for his romantic involvements and illicit drug use.
How did he manage to stay married to the supermodel? She said he constantly demonstrated his love through making her things like mixtapes and art. She still has thousands of mix tapes he made for her.

9. Tina Turner and Erwin Bach
Have been together since 1986 (36 years) but actually got married in 2013, after 27 together.
After her turbulent and abusive marriage to Ike Turner, the queen of rock & roll finally found peace with Bach, who is 17 years younger than her. Bach donated a kidney to Tina after she started experiencing severe health issues, instead of allowing her undergo dialysis. Turner called it “the gift of life.”

10. Snoop Dogg and Shante Taylor:
Been together since 1987 (33 years). Snoop married his high school girlfriend, Shante Taylor, on June 12, 1997 (24 years). In 2004 he filed for divorce from Taylor, citing irreconcilable differences. However the couple remarried in 2008. In 2021 Shante officially became Snoop Dogg's manager but he gives her credit for always being his guiding light. "She has been guiding my career behind the scenes from day one,” the rapper said. “She has always been my final gut check with all my decisions, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without her. I am grateful to have her as my official manager, helping to build the Snoop Dogg empire together.” They have four children and three grandchildren.

11. MC Hammer and Stephanie Fuller:
married 1985 (37 years). They met at a church revival and got married shortly after. Hammer has been through ups and downs but there has always been one constant - his wife Stephanie. Hammer claims he was encouraged to marry Whitney Houston by her father at the Super Bowl in 1991. "Whitney’s dad pulled me and Whitney in a room and said 'you know Hammer, you should really consider marrying Whitney.' And, I said, I’d love to but I’m already married.” Hammer continued, saying, “I love my wife dearly but, I always laughed about that." Hammer and Stephanie have five children: three boys and two girls.

12. Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa: married 1991 (31 years). After divorcing his first wife, Springsteen said he "was very frightened about getting married again." After dating Scialfa for three years, they eventually got married in 1991 and have three children.

13. Sting & Trudie Styler
Got married in 1992 (30 years) but had lived together since 1982 years (40 years). The "Englishman in New York" who has received 17 Grammy Awards, is one of the world's best selling music artists. In 1982, Sting separated from his first wife Frances Tomelty because he had an affair with her best friend Trudie Styler.
Sting moved in with Styler in 1982 and they have been together since. They finally got married in 1992 and have four children.

Vigilante shot dead by his son while testing the efficacy of his charm in Adamawa

A member of vigilante group in Jada Local Government Area, Adamawa state identified as Yusuf has been shot dead by his stepson, Suugbomsumen Adamu, while testing gun charms' efficacy at their home on Sunday November 6.

Yusuf, who was said to be drinking a gin known whiskey, sighted the accused on his way back home on that fateful day when he called him and turned his dane gun on himself and asked him to fire it. The deceased who allegedly acted under the influence of alcohol was believed to have fortified himself with the protective charms, but the charms woefully failed him. The Adamu claimed his stepfather turned the loaded dane gun on himself by putting it on his stomach and asked him to hold it and shoot it.

Adamu said he refused but the deceased insisted that he must do as he had commanded him. In obedience to his stepfather's command, the young man pressed the trigger of the gun with his finger and fired it which penetrated and fatally wounded the vigilante. He was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the police command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said whoever is found wanting will be charged to court.

Tanzania's Precision Air Plane Crashes Into Lake Victoria, Officials Blames Heavy Rainfall

As reported by Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) on Sunday morning, the passenger plane had left Dar es Salaam heading to Bukoba through Mwanza .

An airplane belonging to Tanzania's Precision Air has reportedly crash-landed into Lake Victoria.

As reported by Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) on Sunday morning, the passenger plane had left Dar es Salaam heading to Bukoba through Mwanza .

The cause of the crash as reported by TBC was caused heavy rainfall and strong wind as it attempted to land at Bukoba airport.

"Ndege ya Precision Air iliyokuwa inatoka Dar es Salaam kwenda Bukoba kupitia Mwanza imedondoka katika Ziwa Victoria kutokana na kukumbwa na mvua kubwa na upepo mkali,"

TBC highlighted that it had spoken to its writer Charles Mwebeya who is reporting live from the scene and explained that rescue exercises were ongoing.

"TBC imezungumza na Charles Mwebeya kutoka katika eneo hilo ambapo amesema zoezi la uokoaji wa abiria linaendelea katika eneo hilo ikiwemo kuitoa ndege hiyo ziwani,"

"Endelea kufuatilia mitandao yetu ya kijamii kwa taarifa zaidi," TBC reproted.

Precision Air went ahead and confirmed the plane crash.

"Precision Air flight no. 494, flying from Dar es Salaam to Bukoba, was involved in an accident as it was approaching Bukoba Airport," reads the statement.

The rescue team has been dispatched to the scene and more information will be released by the airline in two hours' time.

PHOTOS: Father Accused Of Beating Two-month-old Baby With Hanger For Disturbing Sleep

A father, Confidence Amatobi, 31, has been accused of beating his two-month-old baby, Miracle, with a plastic hanger for disturbing his sleep. The baby was injured in the process and one of his arms has been amputated as a result.

According to ABN TV, the Imo State chapters of the National Human Right Commission and the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists have called on the Imo State Government and police to immediately arrest and prosecute Amatobi for the assault.

The baby’s arm was amputated at the paediatrics ward of the Federal Medical Centre, FMC Owerri.
