Good thing I was born in Lagos and I grew up with Muslims too. I attended public schools where they recited portions of the Quran and say the hymns every other week. A student either took CRK or IRK as they were called then. As part of cocurricullar activities, you either chose The young Christian Fellowship or the Muslim students society. I had friends from muslim homes who attended churches.

My parents were just church goers, well, my father hardly went to church. We never said family prayers until few years ago. My parents were liberal. If I had become an atheist, they would have done nothing about it.

But the word of God is spirit, when it hit us, it changed us. I didn't become a Christian because of miracles or prophecies.

Not all of them, my brother. But you can't dispute that they all have faith in the doctor or the hospital's equipment.

Those people in hospitals have faith in doctors. If they had faith in the power of God they would be in the presence of God.

A lot of people claim to know too much; calling themselves, "enlightened". To my brethren out there, put not your faith in the wisdom of men but in the power of God - 1COR 2:5.

They go about proclaiming false knowledge, deceiving weak people, speaking false wisdom.
1 Corinthians 2:7-8 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Show us the plan so we will understand what you are trying to do and give proper compliments when you're done.

Suffering is natural if you remove god from the equation. I have no problem with sufferings in the world. I have problem with the claim that there is a god that is all loving all powerful blah blah blah...

We should take responsibility as humans for the sufferings we inflict on each other thru wars, selfishness and inconsideration.

We should take natural disasters as natural disasters not act of god or the devil or because adam sinned.

Suffering is inevitable for now.

Nice work so far, OP. First, I want you to know that I believe everything you have poured out so far. I have not come to condemn you or commend you (like a sister said earlier). I'm just very curious. Could you please answer the following questions to make some of your points and the reason for your sojourn very clear?

1. Are you now truly an atheist or you just demoted yourself to being less than a Christian? I ask because you keep sounding like you know there's a God but you don't trust Him because of something He did (or didn't do). Please clarify.

2. You said there is so much suffering in the world and God didn't have the answers to it if He really existed. My brother, since becoming an atheist, by how much have you reduced this suffering in the world?

3. Has your new found faith revealed all the TRUTH about life to you?

4. You also said the GREAT COMMISSION was a scam. (Mind you, God didn't put the burden on Christ to round the world to preach or save all men. Neither did Christ put it on any one disciple to reach the ends of the world with the gospel. Christ's part finished on the cross and the disciples were commanded to make disciples and teach them to do the same thing.) Since you claim you have found the truth, why now don't you want to spread the truth and save humanity, because in an earlier post you preferred you were few that knew the truth?

These are innocent questions and I need answers to settle all the parts of this thread where you were not very clear.

Telemovie was a series of television movies from Jos. Most of the movies were stand alone movies, but a few of them were in two or three parts. The most famous telemovie was Lynx. I can still remember a bit of the plot of Lynx, so I'll tell you about it.


Mat and Gladys Dadzie were married (I can't remember their screen names, but I remember that this was one of the few times that they acted as a married couple on screen). Mat had Gladys killed (I can't remember why). Gladys' ghost appeared to their little children. They were the only people who could see her in human form. She sometimes appeared to other people as a lynx cat. She eventually wreaked vengeance on Mat for killing her.

That's all I can remember. Telemovie was shown on the network service at 8 o'clock c1987-1988.

If I remeber very well her name was "Hauwa" in that telemovie. The horror used to drive me nuts those days, especially when she appeared as a cat and the scene where he kept mentioning her name (i think when he sacrificed her).

That was the first of the Jos school of programmes that I ever watched (it was started in 1980). In the 1980s we had the Lagos programmes, the Kaduna programmes, the Enugu programmes, etc, but the Jos school of programmes was the best. They gave us great shows like:

CockCrow At Dawn
Telemovie
Behind The Clouds
Etc

And produced fantastic actors like Sadiq Daba, Mat and Gladys Dadzie (I was the saddest person in the world when they divorced), George Mentie, Ene Oloja, Mac-Arthur Fom (Nosa in Behind The Clouds. The whole of Nigeria was mourned when died), etc.

I always thought Behind the Clouds was an Enugu Programmes production.
Yeah, when "Nosa" died even my mom cried...it was a sad experience.

This is not the time for us to separate ourselves and laugh at the Igbos or other victims. Today they are killing people in upland regions for their cows to graze and eat crops, tomorrow they may start killing riveriners for their cows to drink, next, they may want to occupy hills, cliffs and rocky mountains for their cows to sleep.

What's your experience with these smart chargers? Those of you who have the 20A and 30A variants please comment.


My own experience with mine (30A) is it switches off prematurely; never allowing the battery to charge fully.

My 20A charger got burnt early February. Since then i've taken it to different repairers and it's yet to be fixed. But before then it was working perfectly, charging my battery to full.
