Mikagrace:
you’re obviously not married so you don’t understand. Thanks though for trying to help.
See how some people are preaching divorce to you and cajoling you into ending your marriage. Check their previous posts, they will never help anyone with information to peacefully resolve their marital issues, but will always be very fast to show them how to end it, no matter how light the matter is.

The number one person you need in your life right now is God. Form the habit of taking your problems to Him, He will either give you the wisdom to solve your marital issues or bring you in contact with someone who will help you.

PoliticsRe: A Total Ban On The Use Of Ethnic Slurs On Nairaland by deekseen(m): 2:56pm On Mar 28, 2023
Seun:
Fellow Nairalanders,

We have noticed the use of ethnic slurs and other derogatory names by a small but persistent group of political actors and trolls.

This practice of derogatory name-calling adds no value to the forum. It's bad for our mental health, our harmony as a community, and the reputation of Nairaland. It's simply toxic. It's absence and the absence of the people who use those slurs will not be missed.

Therefore I have decided to ban the practice entirely. I have instructed dominique, mukina2, Lalasticlala and Mynd44 to ban anyone who uses an ethnic slur or derogatory name on Nairaland. The antispam bot will also contribute to the effort. Please report any case that you see.

- Seun Osewa, Founder of Nairaland
Plenty of sense here. I support this. Nairaland was going down the drain, but this is a good rescue mission. Took too long to come though. I like the part where you said they would not be missed. And so shall it be.

Ginomel:
One thing I could deduce from your point is that he showered you love recently before the incident meaning that he still has something for you.

I'm very sure you react a lot to you guys' argument which is not funny to him.

Men love respect, regard and submission from their wives. Some men see it as a challenge anytime their women match up to them.

That said, show him humility and submission but don't be a "mumu" in the sense that you have the right to your rights but let it be presented gently with respect without much reaction from you or "shut up" statement.

No man will adore a woman challenging them. Men find it very easy to pet submissive women than those claiming women equality to men
I think you explained some of my points better.

I'm not trying to justify your husband's actions, but I think saving your marriage and minimizing the possibility of this type of outcome is more important at this time.

I think you've not taken the time to understand your husband's trigger points. Try to find out the things that turn on his anger and avoid them.

You also need to understand how to calm him when he's already angry and shouting. When I'm angry, my wife knows these:
- I stop talking and walk away, maybe into the bedroom.
- If she comes to the bedroom or wherever I walk to, she knows that she can talk to me but not on the subject that just got me angry.
- If I don't walk away immediately, she knows she has to change subjects, else I'll still have to walk away (for some minutes though, just to drain the anger)
- Don't follow me up and down trying to apologize or blackmail me emotionally. After we're good again, we can trash the matter.

You don't tell your husband to shut up, no matter what. You really should stop doing that.

You may also need to apply some level of emotional intelligence when dealing with him.

Give him some space. Since this happened yesterday, if you've not called him already, you can call him now. But don't bring back yesterday's events. Look for a creative way to get talking and laughing with him first. When you guys are good, you can indirectly bring the issue, but this time make it about you. You could use some emotional blackmailing here. Instead of apologizing directly you could say you were scared all through the night because you upset your husband and he wasn't there to protect you if something happened. The point is to massage his ego, but you're the one emotionally in control.

After the first 3 years of our, marriage, which were the most difficult, me and my wife now understand each other better. It's 8 years and counting now and we're still growing.

I guess Dev should replace Chris in their name because it has been renown for bad recently and repeatedly.
Are you suggesting that the school should now be known as DevLand?

May the soul of that poor girl rest in peace.

If Arsenal lose today, just know this match is the reason they won't win the EPL this season.
RomanceRe: A Nairaland Lady I Employed Is Teaching My Pupils Immoral Things by deekseen(m): 5:16pm On Mar 04, 2023
Vickho:
My name is Inspector Lawal Gbadamosi. I recently established a nursery school in Lekki Phase one, Lagos. I was seeking to recruit qualified teachers since my school is still nascent and growing.

A certain lady on this nairaland forum with the moniker DKM123 contacted me through my mailbox and narrated her ordeal with me, telling me how she is so in desperate need of the job so she will be able to cater for the needs of her poor dying parents, so I had to out of pity employ her to teach primary 1 despite failing the interview both oral and written.

So on a certain day while I was taking a walk through the various classes to inspect and monitor the teaching process I over heard her teaching my pupils immoral things like:

A hotel - A hotel is a place where a male takes a female to go in and sleep with her, they can decide to sleep together through out the night or pay for a short time and sleep together for certain hours.

What broke my heart was when she further elaborated on the definition of a hotel by saying this:

a man can also take his fellow man or a lady can take her fellow lady and go to a hotel and they can sleep together

As she was about to call two pupils of same gender to demonstrate physically on LGBTQ that was when I whooped in and immediately pounced on her and beat the hell out of her, she struggled and freed herself from my grip by biting me and fled.
Now the whole school environment has been surrounded by Navy, Policemen and the Nigerian Army, if she is sighted around the school premises, she would be instantly shot dead.

Any person on this forum that will help with valuable information on how to track her down and arrest her will be rewarded.
She must spend 21 years in jail and be raped by fellow lesbian prisoners like Umbrateeth04.
Below is her profile.

So you're just trolling...very childish.

Really? What have primary school pupils got to do with hotels? Is it part of their curriculum?

Most of the tampering was at the ward collation centre which doesn’t reflect here. But when you calculate what they uploaded with what was announced, you will see irregularities
If you took pictures of the result sheets at the polling units it would help fish out results altered at collation centers.

Lol, so after cooking the results to their satisfaction, they now decided to upload it?

You can't build something on nothing, the law categorically stated that results shall be uploaded to the INEC server directly from the various poling units. INEC didn't do that, so it's null and void!
That's why you need to check the results on the portal and compare with the results from your PU for discrepancies. This can serve as evidence.
