I’m completely new to stock investing, so I’d really appreciate any tips or advice for a beginner before I start buying.

Hi everyone, please I’m planning to write GRE early next year, can someone recommend materials that will help me prepare. And I don’t mind if I can get a good and reliable online tutor, I’ve seen many online but I’m scared so I’m looking for recommendations based on experience of good people here. Your response will be appreciated.

I will like to write GRE in February next year and I will need someone to tutor me, I can see some adverts on the thread but I’m scared, can someone please recommend a good teacher to be based on experience please.

Congratulations, God was preparing USP for you. It's the best out option out of all the schools. Try and apply for bolsa(grant) too if you haven't. It will help you a lot.

Mine didn't come easy too
I got two rejections
The.first school I applied to, I passed the entrance exam,.it was five of us that passed when it was time for interview they sent a mail that the interview will be conducted in Portuguese, i was discouraged but i still joined by the way, they didn't interview me , they only advised that i should go and learn the language and reapply next year, it was devastating. The second school too was another story before I now got this one.
So the summary is intentionality.

Honestly.

My GCUB, I listed out 5 schools I wanted from different parts of the country. Then I went to the departments I wanted and searched for the research projects their professors were working on and I patterned my essays towards them. On 3 occasions I message some professors because I couldn't find the links I wanted and 2 replied. I translated 2 of the 5 essays to portuguese and I proof read all the essays at least twice.

Even with all these, I know nothing is guaranteed. They don't owe me a scholarship, we can only hope for the best.

My only regret is that I could have finished writing the essays even before the call for application, that way, I would have had more time to prepare.

My mentor use to tell me something that if you almost got a thing, you can always get it
The knowledge you have now will prepare you better for the next GCUB

To be honest it's really something that one has to be intentional about
I have some tips for you
List out like 3 to 4 schools you'll like to explore
Now go through your department of choices website
Study their selection notice pattern (time of selection and requirements)
With this you should be able to apply when they put their notice out

Below is the form I can see for the course I intend to study. Is this how yours looked when you registered?

My application wasn't like this because I've said earlier that department varies and it's "each to their own" kind of setting.
Check to the website of your intended department and check for their previous selection notices.
This will help you understand what their requirements are and also you'll be able to study their pattern(time they usually put their selection notice out)
This is help you get all documents ready for next selection

Like I said the requirements are usually on the selection notice for each departments, mine didn't require a research plan

The thing is each department of Brazil schools have their selection process, so your application will depend on the department you want to apply to.

All you need so is
legalize your documents with the prescribed notary publics but for the Police character you have to take it to MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS in Abuja for legalization
Then pay for embassy authentication
Then fill the manual form sent to you and upload it together with the listed required documents.
Then go to the appointment site after submission to book an appointment
An email would be sent to you to send the hard copy. In this case it must include all the documents you want to authenticate+the ones you uploaded and your original passport.

The sending of documents must be done via your courier of choice and you must include a prepaid envelope in your parcel which the embassy would use to send your documents back to you. Two for your authenticated documents you are supposed to send it to an address in Brazil so you could tell you supervisor about this by asking for his address. This means you would be paying for both local (to and fro) and international courier fee but both would be addressed to the embassy. It is the embassy tha would help you send your authenticated documents to Brazil and for your other documents and passport they would be send back to your Nigeria address ensure you include your receipt of payments in the parcel

I just got admission for my masters in Brazil, and I'm now at the visa application stage but I don't seem to understand the process, I've emailed the embassy and they sent documents for me to fill. I've also gotten my police character certificate. I will really appreciate any help I can get here.

Wow thanks for this, I traveled to Bowen yesterday to get information and I was told they don't take students above age 25 and they can't accept 2:2 also

Don't mind anyone telling you you can get admitted through direct entry. You have to start afresh. You can only get direct entry if you go for your RN in Nursing School. Then you will still spend another 3 years to get your degree. I am also studying Nursing. Finished from lautech as well 12 years ago.... Nursing is not beans o. You must be committed and be ready to study. Best wishes.

As for whether you are qualified for Direct entry, yes you are qualified both in Nigeria and abroad, though some Universities in Nigeria will require Second class upper but there are many of them that will accept you with Lower division especially private universities.
As for whether to study abroad or here in Nigeria. It is always better abroad but it all depends on your capacity financially. For instance UK, US, Australia and Canada universities, you need between 8M to 25M each session for Tuition alone depending on the school and country. But for other European countries like Cyprus, Malta,Georgia(country), Russia etc, you need just between 4M to 7M each session as fees. All in Naira ooo. If you know your onions very well, you can get a fully or partially funded scholarship though.
Now, the onus is on you to make your choice.

I graduated from Lautech and my undergraduate study was prolonged due to strike that's why I now prefer a private university

Go back to the school you graduated from, speak to your HOD and yhe dean of your faculty.
If you were a good student, they will help you to speak to the department of nursing to enter as a direct entry Student straight to 200 level.

Most of the schools I saw said their nursing is for home and not for international students

There are some affordable universities in Europe and the UK

You can always do a simple Google search and check the websites of universities there to get an Idea of everything first.

Hi nairalanders, please I need people that has passed through this to help me suggestions
I'm a graduate of biochemistry (second class lower) and I'll like to study nursing
I'm thinking of studying in a private university here in Nigeria or studying abroad
I don't know if I'm qualified for the direct entry or I start a fresh and in confused to which school to choose
As for studying abroad I have no information whatsoever on how to go about it
