Richie6:Bro, I'm a federal government worker, junior staff. I've received my pay for the month of February and it's just the same as what I received November of last year. The minimum wage is yet to reflect and if the whole country is to complain about it, the new pay will have to be March salary. That's if the government hear word be that |

I'm using a tecno camon 12 phone. There was this time I plugged it to charge, and a call came in, in the process of picking the phone from where I kept it, it slipped and fell then went off. It refused to come on when I tried turning it on so I checked the battery and realized that the battery clip got disconnected as a result of the fall, so I clipped it back and tried turning the phone on and it turned on. Since after this, I've been having battery issue, it doesn't last, once it gets to 50% before you can count 1-15, it will run down. I took it for repairs and was advised to change the battery. I've changed the battery which happens to be the follow come because I bought the phone when it came out newly and have not changed the battery until this problem started but am still having the same issue. Please, Anyone experienced similar problem? Any solution? |

Infibulation, the worst form of female genital mutilation (FGM) Many people are unaware of the practice known as infibulation. While this lack of awareness is a good sign (at least it indicates that the practice is not widespread), I still feel compelled to shed light on this harmful practice perpetrated against girls. First, they will cut the girl's clitoris and labia, they will then sew her vulva (the part many people call vagina, where intercourse happens), leaving only a small space for menstruation. As in, the vagina is almost completely sealed, leaving just a tiny hole. Once they're done, they would tie her legs together to allow the wounds heal. The healing usually takes 20 to 40 days, depending on the girl's body. This means she won't be able to move throughout this time as her legs would be tied up for the entire period of healing. The stitches are designed to be opened by the husband on the wedding night, subjecting the woman to further trauma. This practice leads to severe health complications, including urinary tract infections, fistulas, and infertility. During childbirth, women who have undergone infibulation often require repeated incisions due to the narrowed vaginal opening. Currently, infibulation is still practiced in some parts of Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Sudan. The fact that it has also been practiced in North America, Australia, and New Zealand in the past highlights the global nature of this issue. This morning, I am making this post to raise awareness about infibulation and FGM in total and to condemn it. The pains and the dangers surrounding it is just too much to bear. My name is Àròjinlẹ̀ and I stand against female genital mutilation.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the National Construction and Household Support Programme during the National Economic Council meeting on Thursday in Abuja. The presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, made this disclosure in a statement released to the press on Thursday. According to Ngelale, the programme is aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, strengthening the economy, and providing immediate economic relief for Nigerian households Ngelale added that the programme, which was supported by the NEC, includes financial allocations and infrastructure projects across all geo-political zones in the country. He added that a key component of the programme is the approval of the N50,000 uplift grant to be distributed to 100,000 families per state for three months. Ngelale revealed that another N155 billion was earmarked for the purchase and distribution of assorted foodstuff across the nation to address concerns about food security and affordability. He disclosed that the programme will also cater to infrastructure projects, including the Sokoto-Badagry Highway, which will traverse seven states and is considered key for agricultural sustainability. He added that the states along this axis form the food belt of the nation. Other infrastructure initiatives include the ongoing Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Trans-Saharan Highway. Tinubu also approved full counterpart financing for the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri Railway and the Ibadan-Abuja segment of the Lagos-Kano Standard-Gauge Railway. In addition to the projects, Ngelale said the NEC approved the allocation of N10 billion to each state and the Federal Capital Territory for the procurement of buses and implementation of the Compressed natural gas uplift programme. According to the presidential spokesman, provisions were also made for labour unions and civil society organizations. During the NEC meeting, Tinubu urged state governors to collaborate in meeting the needs of citizens and boosting food production in the country. He said, “Our states must work together to deliver on the critical reforms required of us to meet the needs of our people. Time is humanity’s most precious asset. You can never have enough of it. It is getting late. “We are ready and able to support you in the form of the mechanization of your agricultural processes and the provision of high-quality seedlings. We are prepared to provide solar-powered irrigation facilities to support our farmers across seasons, but we must now produce. We must produce the food our people eat, and it will require coordination and intentionality between members of the National Economic Council (NEC)

5. SPOTTED HYENAS You should already know this by now but I will revise still. The female hyena gives birth through what we can call a penis. They have a unique reproductive system, in which they give birth through a pseudo-penis which is not so different from the male's penis. This is because they have a highly masculinized Instruments, which is thought to be an adaptation for dominance and social status in their matriarchal society. The pseudo-penis is an elongated clitoris that resembles a penis and is used for urination, mating, and giving birth. Just imagine how difficult, painful and terrible it will feel. It is so bad that about 15% of first mothers die while giving birth. Credit: @arojinle1 on X

4. PORCUPINE Of course you know about their sharp quills. It protects them from predators. An adult porcupine is almost safe from all the big predators. The however don't have it easy when giving birth. Their babies are born with the quills already formed but they're still very soft. It's is after an hour or two that the quills begin to harden. Still, the mother experiences some pain. What may be worse is if the baby is facing the wrong direction while coming out during birth. The soft quills can still scratch through her birth canals as she pushes.

3. SHINGLEBACK LIZARDS I once wrote about this lizard whose bead and tail look alike. If a shingleback closes it eyes. You will find it difficult to know which end is head or which is tail. Anyways, to the discussion at hand. Female shinglebacks give birth to their babies alive. They usually give birth to two babies. The combined weight of the babies is about ⅓rd of her weight. That's like a woman giving birth to an 8 year old baby.

2. VELVET SPIDER A velvet spider only gives birth once and there's a reason for it. She sacrifices herself via a process known as matriphagy. Some other spider species does this as well but not all of them. As soon as she lays or give birth to egg sac that contains her babies, her body start to degrade gradually inside. After about 30 days, tbe babies emerge from the egg sac. She will then regurgitate her inside which has become liquefied through degradation to feed the babies. She does this for about 9 days till she can't no more. The babies, who would have become strong enough by then will descend on her to suck up the remaining part of her, leaving the exoskeleton only.

Giving birth can be very excruciating, but for some animals, it is more than excruciating as they pass through severe pains to give birth. Below are some of these animals 1. KIWI Let's start off from Australia. While other birds lay many eggs, kiwi lays just one egg at a time. But the one egg is equivalent to 20% of her total body weight and almost half of her size. That's like an adult human carrying a 6 year old baby in their belly. When the egg is stressfully laid, they still invest 70-80 days to incubate the egg. That's about time 2 the time ostriches spend incubating. Incredible! Let's continue in the comments

6 Helle Thorning-Schmidt, the 26th Danish prime minister, landed on her knees and hands while walking down the stairs during a 2015 visit to France’s Elysee Palace. She let out a scream as she slipped. 7 Boris Johnson, the former United Kingdom prime minister, was a victim of an epic fall after he tripped and landed on the floor during a charity tug-of-war game at a World War I commemoration event with Britain’s armed forces in 2015. 8 Margaret Thatcher is another former United Kingdom prime minister on the list. In 1982, during a political meeting in Beijing about negotiating the future of the then-British colonial territory of Hong Kong, Ms Thatcher slipped and fell while leaving the Great Hall of the People.

President Bola Tinubu’s Wednesday fall at Eagle Square, Abuja, has generated huge wattage. Mr Tinubu was at the centre of another unflattering public attention after the 72-year-old tripped, fell and hit his head on the floor of a parade vehicle. However, Mr Tinubu will be the first, and probably the last, leader of a country to experience such an embarrassing fall. History is replete with a collage of presidential falls by heavyweight leaders of the world. Below are eight other presidents and prime ministers who fell during public events. 1 Joe Biden: Like Mr Tinubu, the 46th U.S. president’s physical capability is of major public concern. In June 2023, Mr Biden fell down on stage while handing out diplomas at a graduation ceremony for the US Air Force Academy. He was reported to have stumbled on a sandbag, which tripped him. The 81-year-old, who survived the incident without being hurt joking, told reporters that he “got sandbagged.” 2 Xi Jinping, the Chinese president, slipped and was so close to landing on the floor during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2019. He was on the stage with UN Secretary General António Guterres and other world leaders when Mr Xi slowly started to fall before he was rescued by security personnel. 3 Vladimir Putin, the Russian leader who loves to display his aura, saw himself on the floor during a 2019 hockey game he played in. He was doing a victory lap around Sochi’s Bolshoy Ice Dome and applauding fans when he slammed on the floor. 4 Robert Mugabe, the late Zimbabwean Prime Minister, saw himself flying down a red carpet in 2015 upon arriving at the country’s capital city of Harare. Some journalists were forced to delete videos and photos of the incident to suppress the embarrassment. 5 Gerald Ford, the 38th U.S. president, was captured falling down by the media while disembarking from Air Force One during an overseas trip to Salzburg, Austria, in 1975. “Thank you for your gracious welcome to Salzburg, and I am sorry I tumbled in,” Mr Ford said.

For a simple understanding Remove the current minimum wage from Your basic salary, what is left, add it to the new minimum wage. That's your new salary. Eg. Basic salary 70k Current minimum wage 30k New minimum wage 100k 70-30= 40 100+40 =140 Your new salary is now 140k. SIMPLE
