Business › Re: Flared Gas Can Generate 100,000MW Of Electricity – Expert by deeobserver209(m): 9:32am On Oct 16, 2014 |
One thing history will judge past administrations in Nigeria is their inconsistencies and policy somersault. Since 1970s right through 1983 there had never been any significant investment in this sector. The country then was operating a centralized economy bound with monopoly. Lack of strategic planning and continuity is the bane of past administrations. These projects today would require massive capital investment and great deal of time to develop at a very high cost. More than triple the cost of development compared with the 70s. Government surely can't finance these huge plans at present cost. The only option as rightly cited by the experts is to open up the sector and provide a level playing field for private sector participation through the PIB bill. But sadly enough, the bill is currently laying idle in the National Assembly. The legislature must rise up to its responsibility and pass that bill as soon as possible to save this country from missing out on a bright future of power supply development and revenue generation. |

With the reduction in food importation to the tune of about $2 billion and increase agriculture productivity, news like this will encourage government to do more. Certainly Nigeria is making progress. However one area of concern is the energy sector. The government especially the National Assembly should as a matter of urgency pass the PIB bill to strengthen both the upstream and downstream sectors of our petroleum industry including the gas sector. This will help a great deal in bringing down cost of petroleum products in Nigeria and lower down cost of transportation of goods and services. In effect, the purchasing power of Nigerians will increase. |

bloodykiller: i keep asking myself what will be the fate of apc and their touts both online and offline after 2015 election which will be all GEJ'S OR GEJ'S VICTORIOUS DAY.
since they merged with only one mission (to take power by all means) what will be their fate and their goal again if GEJ wins? can they afford to wait together another 4 years? (2019)
what will be the condition of people like egift,omenka,koboko69,berem and others? (because na only God go save them from my e-bully and murder that day)
will they still have the shame and mouth to talk in this forum?
will buhari return again in 2019 as usual?
what will be the name of the new tinubu's gang to face GEJ'S pdp candidate in 2019?
will they form another deadly sect because bokoharam is almost dead?
will they cause mayhem like they did in 2011 because thats their last consolation resort?
so many questions on my mind but the only answers i know is
GEJ TILL 2019 NO PLACE FOR TINUBU'S GANG IN ASO ROCK FOREVER APC WILL NEVER SMELL PRESIDENTIAL POWER Endorsed. |

There's a way you can reduce data consumption on your new Galaxy S3. Download Avast Anti Virus app and install on your phone. Go to the firewall option and click it. A list of all applications installed on your phone will be shown. There are options for Wifi, 3G and Edge networks through which you can restrict apps from using data when ever you wish to browse. Tick the apps you want firewall to block from using data. Note: Your phone need to be rooted for this operation. |

Politics › Re: China Just Overtook The USA As The World's Largest Economy by deeobserver209(m): 7:37am On Oct 09, 2014 |
It was expected. China with a population of 1.6 billion and a growing economy at the rate of about 10 percent per annum steady for 20 years is not only predicted to surpass the US but also set a record as the biggest economy ever in the world. The interesting thing is that China is still a third world country. It's a good to know that Africa have now shifted their attention to China for economic cooperation. It's better for developing countries to trade together among themselves than developed countries. Since China is a developing country, the benefit of trade with Africa would be mutually beneficial to all. China is the real deal. |

You are very right. It's astonishing how we rush into judgements and condemning others without justifications. What is rather appalling is the involvement of Nigerian youths (the adjudged leaders of tomorrow) joining the bandwagon. I am sure many of those that called Pastor Orishajefor many unprintable names are on their kneels begging for forgiveness. That's one of the reasons why Nigeria is in her present position. I agree. Meanwhile as more information reach us, it appears there was nothing illegal about the Arms Transaction Deal in the first place. The South African officials were probably over zealous in their actions by not informing Nigerian authorities in time before the matter got to the media. Well knowing the histories of Nigeria and South Africa, you wouldn't be surprise by the politics currently playing out. Rivalry seems to be the end game here. |
Politics › Re: South African Media Confirms Legitimacy Of Nigeria's $9.3m Arms Deal by deeobserver209(m): 12:26pm On Oct 07, 2014 |
Zuria: Most Nigerians would never understand the geography of Nigeria doing arms transactions in South Africa or why some purchase of arms may be done by cash and not wired.
The truth is, the government is committed in fighting terror and we can only hope we get our weapons in time. The end of boko haram is near; support the government in this fight. Security of lives and property is a collective efforts of all civilians and military formations.
