Excellent. The kind of writeups I like to feature in my blog. Certainly school success is not everything. That's the bane of Nigeria today. We are too obsessed with obtaining certificates.
Do not mis-interpret the Op. The article's purpose is not discourage people from going to school but to show that surviving out there in the real world one needs more than just school knowledge to succeed.
The founder of hyundai cooperation, Chung Ju Yung for instance had only a primary school certificate. Today his family control one of the largest conglomerates in the world.
While it's important to go to school to learn how to read and write, it's important we realize that individuals mentality and street-wise determines how we succeed out there in real life.

PoliticsRe: Borno Residents Commend Military Operation by deeobserver209(m):
Bryan12: Thank God this is coming from the same people who lamented that NA were loosing the war against insurgency. They've finally swallowed their pukes.phewwww!
The funny thing is that some of them accused the FG in the past for allowing Boko Haram violence escalade for the single purpose of cancelling elections in the affected zones to win the 2015 Presidential elections. Now that the FG through the military made some vital victories against the terrorists, APC apologists are singing another song that FG is using successes of the military for 2015 campaign. Nothing ever pleases the APC. Their only concern is Aso Rock.
PoliticsRe: Borno Residents Commend Military Operation by deeobserver209(m): 7:59am On Sep 26, 2014
Sincere9gerian: APC's Liar Muhammed was quick to issue press a statement criticizing the military and Nigerian govt when some of our solders fighting Boko Haram had some challenge that made them make a tactical manoeuvre into Cameroon.

So how come we've not heard any word of commendation or support from APC's Liar Muhammed for the Nigerian military for the successes recorded in the war on Boko Haram in the past 3 weeks?

Why is APC quick to condemn but slow to commend even on an issue that bother on national security and the safety of Nigerians?

These are some of the reasons why most Nigerians hold the opinion that Boko Haram is the armed wing of APC while APC is the political wing of Boko Haram.

APC plus BokoHaram equals twin EVIL of monumental proportion with cataclysmic consequence

CultureRe: The Plight Of The Northern Child by deeobserver209(m):
Leerikz: sometimes i ask myself, was it my fault that i was born into a northern family??, would get better. We were then told that it would involve killing and suicide bombing for our plans to really work out. Already our minds were prepared for anything. That was how we took up arms to fight for ourselves and for our families. So next time you want to open your mouth to judge the youth who have joined boko haram, think of the situation of this young man, think of the plight of his family and underdevelopment that had eaten deep in to lives of everyone in their community. live positively!.
.This was written by a young Nigerian.. Just looking at things from the other point of view.. I am in no way supporting insurgency of any kind.. Share your thoughts
You started your write up well but you ended horribly. There's no excuse on earth, in the universe or under the universe at all for any individual to kill an innocent human being for any reason whatsoever wether valid or invalid. This is outright insanity! Your claim that poverty drove some northern youth to terrorism is not only crappy but ridiculous.
Terrorism is an ideology that seeks to impose it's believe system on society through violence whether the target community likes it or not. It has nothing to do with poverty.
Besides, poverty is a global thing. It's not only restricted to the north. Many communities in Nigeria from the south, southwest, middle Belt, South East etc all surfer from poverty. Do you see them killing and bombing people over the place? Do you thing Northern Nigeria is the only region suffering from poverty?
Daily life in my village for instance in Tatu, Heipang district of B/Ladi LGA of Plateau State can be said to be the real definition of poverty on display. My people hardly have enough money to buy soap to wash themselves not to talk of buying clothes for the little ones. As am writing this my village never had electricity connected to it since Nigeria got her independence in 1960. My village never had good roads constructed till date. The number of people who own a generator are not up to 4, even though it's a community of close to 800 in population. To sum it all up, the little village can be described as the one portrayed in the movie: The Gods must be Crazy.
Despite these set back my people do not carry arms about killing innocent people because of their conditions. They don't go about bombing places of worship because they live in abject poverty. They don't go about attacking communities and rising flags because they can't afford to buy soap. Same is the situation in other parts of the country from south, west and east.
Even though my people live in poverty they still eat well. They are very much contented thanks to their love for agriculture. Through agriculture they get almost everything they need to survive. The reason why they don't pay too much attention to government. They provide their own needs.
Have you watched some Indian communities in the past? Their conditions were even worse than anyone can ever think of! Do you know what it means to live without water? I tell you some Indian communities suffered great deal in terrible conditions. Yet they never took arms to commit acts of murder. Instead they joined heads and hands together to solve their problems. Today if you visit these communities you will be surprised to find that virtually all their needs from water supply, electricity to small clinics etc are community driven. They don't wait on the government but rather work together with the government to provide the needs of their respective communities. Same thing happened in Asia and South American countries.
So you see, terrorism can never be associated with poverty. The accertion that poverty breeds terrorism is a global excuse to legitimize acts of terrorism. Nothing more. The earlier we know this the better.
Foreign AffairsRe: B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G News!!! by deeobserver209(m): 10:10am On Sep 23, 2014
If the Israeli option fail we can contact other countries. China and North Korea are there for us. Anything for the fight against terrorism is welcome.
Meanwhile its high time Nigeria starts manufacturing her own military hardware. We can't be running around every time from one country to another seeking weapons to buy only to be blackmailed at crucial moments. A military joint venture with China will be a good start. China has demonstrated over time to be a good ally for developing countries around the world. Considering the similarities between Nigeria and China, a military joint venture in the area of military hardware production will not only boost our defense capabilities but also help in transfer of technology. Russia will be there to help train our troops in areas of counter terrorism.

Welcome to Nigeria. A country where everything is possible. Sometimes a change of environment is what you need to make a big difference in your life. Hope you achieve your dreams in this country soon.
However, I must warn you doing business in Nigeria is tough. You got to be very determine to put in extra effort with smart moves to succeed. Gaming business can be profitable too. It's all about providing something gamers always want at affordable price.
Do your market research and find out if the location is conducive for the kind of business you want to venture in. The major challenge you will face is the issue of constant power supply.

As painful as it is to concede a goal few minutes to time, I think it was a great match. I always get this uneasiness when ever we are meeting an opponents fielding our former players. They tend to be the ones to cause serious heartbreaks. Well, Frank Lampard will always be a Chelsea Legend.
Up Chelsea Fc for life!!!

Meanwhile,
Another so called big club is not finding life easy in English Premiership. I said it last year, said it last month and I will say it again this month, the aura of Sir Alex Ferguson coupled with the might of Her Royal Majesty the Queen of England were the major catalyst that made Manchester United now Women United invisible for years. Do not forget it was the queen of England who knighted Alex Ferguson. It was the major reason why Sir Alex was able to win his Last Premiership Cup with more or less average players except for likes of Rooney and Van Persie. Now that Fergie is no more, his aura had since left the club. Women Utd today is just like any other club in the premiership. A normal club that can be beaten by anyone at any time in any league game any year. If MKDon showed the way, any team can.
It's very obvious David Moyes case wasn't that bad.
