Culture / O Ji La Aro O Ja Fafa Lenu Ise - Eeehhh!!! by DeeTeeMan: 9:51pm On Dec 10, 2012
This is about a Radio O-Y-O old wise tales that used to make me laugh so much because of the rich (Ibadan or Oyo) dialect. Does anyone know exactly the full scripts of it? It goes like this....

O ji la'aro o oja fafa l'enu ise (chorus: eh!!!)
Be e ni ngba ri se ri se l'oju ona a o (chorus: eh!!!)
Ako(w)e tani o da wa lohun oge ni i fi wa se (chorus: eh!!!)
Olutoju iwosan ti n kigbe m'alaare odo re nko (chorus: eh!!!)
...........

Oro re o gb'ope wa ma a b'olopa lo (chorus: eh! ehe!!!)
Oro re o gb'ope wa ma a b'olopa lo oh oh oh oh
Oro re o gb'ope wa ma a b'olopa lo

It will be most interesting to have a full script of the above tale.

Thanks

Health / Re: Male Circumcision by DeeTeeMan: 4:10am On Oct 22, 2012
Honestly, I'm glad to be circumcised. I have found it disgusting when in toilet urinating and the next man (uncircumcised) is repetitively pulling the unfortunate extension to my disgust. For a circumcised man, you can perform comlete urination without any contact, whatsoever, with your penis. Circumcision is more hygenic, imho.

I am completely against female circumcision, in fact, female mutilation.

Culture / Lance Armstrong Doping, Revelation And Confession - Can This Happen In Nigeria? by DeeTeeMan: 1:56pm On Oct 17, 2012
Can we have this kind of situation in Nigeria. Have you ever experienced open confession in our culture? Do we have any system in place that encourages cofessions of this scale and are the people's mind forgiving enough to encourage correction and confessions of this type? Straight to the panel, please!
Religion / Re: Another Look At The Trinity by DeeTeeMan: 4:03pm On Oct 12, 2012
I don't think Jesus took him self as seriously as people take him today. Religion is dogma. It is possible that Christianity today has little to do with Jesus Christ and his beliefs during his time, really.
Religion / Re: Why Exactly Do We Lock Our Doors When Sleeping In The Night?? by DeeTeeMan: 4:00pm On Oct 12, 2012
If you can leave your door when you go to sleep (for a year or more) then you'll probably find the answer to your question.
Religion / Re: Who Created God Or How Did God Come Into Existence? by DeeTeeMan: 3:56pm On Oct 12, 2012
Guys, gbajumos and oloyes if you can try to replace what you call God with NATURE then you can see where your points (and opinions) fit-in with the global picture.
Religion / Re: Does Life Have Any Meaning? by DeeTeeMan: 12:35pm On Oct 11, 2012
They always say there is nothing new under the sun - it was an adage. But there is something new to human race - that is KNOWLEDGE.

We are all responsible to do Good for our own good and those around us. I think with all good intentions, in most actions, our world would always be a better place to live in.

I think it is a good thing if we can appreciate the fact that there are some elements that make it possible for us to exist on this planet and if all we do is to allow what we do to encourage this existence that may just be enough to define goodness in itself.

My answer to your question is that we are existing as part of universal existence, experience and development of the universe. We are both spectators and participants without being wholly participant nor wholly spectator.

What most people in some societies think is spiritual is actually tricks (magic) mastered and carried out by individuals (or group of individuals). Spirituality itself comes from an human mind and preparedness to explore into the extraordinary.
Religion / Re: Why Does Life Exist....why Does Anything Exists? by DeeTeeMan: 12:06pm On Oct 11, 2012
Kay thanks.

I personally agree that whether it is who-what-where-how or self-existent/self-sufficient/uncaused description of God neither is relevant. What is important in my point is that by trying to find a definitive description of God makes us miss or convince others on the actual appreciation of God. So any definition that tries to quantify or qualify God may be counter-productive. That is why no culture, religion or beliefs are enough to define God. It is so limiting in substance to try and personify God as well.

What I'm trying to say is that for our minds to connect or agree about God the discourse must transcend whatever religion or culture we adhere to. It would only be fair for me to appreciate a point of view if I respect and feel others opinions and not necessarily how they have formed it.

Even for a sociopath or psychopath, for that matter, the intention behind the actions may be genuine but the outcome of the actions may not be appreciated, afterall. This means he/she would still be responsible for what had been done but thank God this group of people so-called are in the minority group in the world we live in today.

However, before I digress from the original discourse on Why does life exist..., I will like to add that Life exists as our own contribution, as beings, into the evolution and metamorphosis of the universe, as a whole. Physically, we are just too minuscule.

It seems most of this discussion seems to be boiling down to semantics rather than a good feel for the points each other is making. Words cannot describe everything and that is why semantics can be counter-productive in debates. A bit of more regard and respect for each other's point of view will really go a long way to having excellent debate on issues, generally.
Religion / Re: Why Does Life Exist....why Does Anything Exists? by DeeTeeMan: 2:41am On Oct 11, 2012
Life is an experience of our contribution in existence. If we can commit our existence to the goodness of our experience in living with others, then we can improve the goodness of our world.

I actually thought recently about difference between good and evil as not necessarily the outcome of an event but the intention of the person. The natural judgement of an individual may not just be the outcome of what he/she has done but his/her intention before, during and after doing it with all due respect and love for others around him/her. We usually know the truth about our original intention when we do things, whether we are prepared to tell this truth or not is another matter.
Religion / Re: Who Created God Or How Did God Come Into Existence? by DeeTeeMan: 2:23am On Oct 11, 2012
Interesting question....now my initial response.

It does seem that God was created through the evolution of the human mind. It may also be interpreted as everything and nothing of our experience on the universe. In my humble opinion while I have no doubt that God exists, the interpretation of who-what-where-which-how God exists now depends on what an individual or group of people believes - that is where the main misunderstanding/confusion/issues lies. I would like to not to limit the existence of God to the practice of any religion. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RELIGION AND EXISTENCE OF GOD.

Religious beliefs are different to religious practice, to be candid. The freer a human mind is from the practice the nearest you may get to the fuller appreciation of God's existence. While religion may be required philosophically as a stepping stone to understanding God's existence, the existence of God is not limited to any religious beliefs. RELIGION IS AN EVOLUTION OF HUMAN EXPERIENCE.

God is the who-what (words cannot describe everything about God) made it possible for there to be universe and for us to be part of that universe. Our goodness is to give back, through genuine sense of purpose and intention, everything we may deem fit to live the experience of being part of the universe and enjoy the existence of our experience with others'.

This is my little contribution for now.
