TravelRe: My Trip To London With Qatar Airlines by deezzle(op): 7:21am On Jul 25, 2007
house, i forgot to mention that wat they did was to call all nigerians together and asked us to bring our passports and connnecting tickets. we were all hopeful that ,ok we will get a transit V. next thing, on the tickets were written not allowed into Qatar by immigration. next thing, people started screaming and cursing amd saying all sorts like i will slap u, etc. when they were even trying to give the passports back in the whole chaos, the nna's were like the Qatari babe should pronounce d names written on the passport. How nowhuh? I volunteered to help cos they had already started getting violent.

Then u should have to take care of them and not make noise about it!

When we know its the oga's that will sit on these things. I beg the men on the street (police) should be given proper clothing and equipment e.g proper boots, uniforms (God knows i have seen enough faded and torn ones), rain coats, torch and batteries. These cars and helicopters na gist.
angel, someone has suggested that they should add begging plates to the uniform as well, wat do u think?
PoliticsRe: Your Experiences With The Nigerian Police by deezzle(op): 7:13am On Jul 25, 2007
majama, do u think like this intentionally just to make a point?
Mamajama:
deezzle I refused to agree with your explanation, why does china government have restriction on child birth in the past? remember we practice a democratic government and you can have a football field full of kids if you so please and choose too. Government and the presidency ineffectiveness and lack of commitment is why the police is so dissolutions.
if u read wat i posted well, i was not saying govt should clamp down on child bearing, am saying the poor guys should look at their pockets before poking their wives. na government prick dem dey take poke dem wives? na govt say make dem no match income with expoenditure? e be like say u just like make we dey respond to u, otherwise, i will say u dont make sense in ur responses.
abi people, wetin i talk?
Angel's comment should make u understand. if u know how to reach them, tell them to shut the hell up. On falomo bridge sometime ago, a policeman stopped me and he said their new motto" oga mi, anything for ur boy?" we got talking and he made me understand that he has 6 children, am sure when lined up, they will look like a sloping demand curve.

Greatest Nigerian family? Nah

Most rebellious and noted for notoriety!!! Hell yeah
does ur mum drive? if ye, she should be thankful that Mrs Ransome Kuti (RIP) was rebellious enough to have done wat was considered a manly thing. Notoriety, i dont understand. Is it because Fela sings about wat ur uncles and aunties do with the people's money, or is it because Beko fights for Human rights? Martin Luther King is one of the gr8test pple that ever came out of USA and he was not as "rebellious" as Fela.

The issue of the Nig pol force is far beyond what has been posted here. The govt shld share some blame 2.How can a policeman with a family of 4 sustain his family with #14,000.per month in our present economic situation & we expect him not only to worship the common criminal but to join.Tour the barracks & u,ll shed tears. The echelon of the force is the most currupt govt agency. The junior officers simply learn from them.Something has to be done & fast 2.Imagine on a night journey from lagos, arobbery has just taken place(by who?) at a bus stop but in a flash uniformed officers emerged from the bush to mount roadblock at same point.(read again to grab d message) cry cry embarassed embarassed
must they have unprotected sex all the time?
they know how much they earn, yet they keep churning out children. wat sense is in that.
i have missed u all. i enjoy all u are writing. I pray everytime for sanity in that institution.
maybe we should start another thread that talks about recommendation, hmmn?

Mamajama:
Two men, Joshua Olatunji, 35 and Yinka Ariyo, 25 have been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate's Court for standing as sureties for an accused, Abiona Isaac, who allegedly stole N430,000.

They, however, pleaded not guilty when the two-count charge of false pretence and failure to produce the accused was read to them.

Arraigning them before the court, the prosecutor, Inspector Bartholomew Nwokoye, told the court that the accused were the sureties who stood for Abiona Isaac, a suspect who allegedly stole N430,000.

Nwokoye informed the magistrate that the accused had earlier promised the court and the police to produce the accused anytime he was needed.

“The accused promised to provide Isaac when they stood sureties for him, but they have not been able to do that,” stated.

The prosecutor disclosed that Abiona Isaac was granted bail on 23 June, 2007 at Oko-Oba Police Station after he was caught for a criminal act.

Counsel to the accused, Mr. Sunday Oluwa, appealed to the court to grant the accused bail in liberal terms because they were not the people who committed the offence. He also promised that they would provide the accused very soon.

The magistrate, Mrs. O. J. Awope, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000 each and a surety in like sum. She also ordered that the surety must be gainfully employed.

The matter has been adjourned to 8 August, 2007 for continuation of trial.

Christianity EtcRe: Is Jesus Christ God? by deezzle(m): 4:07pm On Jul 18, 2007
the difference between christians and muslims is this: we are sensible, they are not.
if the thing as simple as saying Jesus is not a son of God is said of mohammed, the next thing you will hear is that they have started killing Christians i Kano. I mean, is it me or they are just so callous and prone to violence.
i know there is extremism in every religion but when was the last time u heard that a Xtian goup or indiividual resorted to suicide bombbing?
PoliticsRe: Your Experiences With The Nigerian Police by deezzle(op): 3:41pm On Jul 18, 2007
here's another one?
while serving in Kaduna, my pal and i gave a stranded policeman a ride. i was busy doing some stuff so i had to take off my newly acquired shirt which was black on the back seat. by the time i got home, i couldnt find the shirt anymore. i realised that the only thing that could have made the shirt disappear was the oga police,

there was a day i was parked at oshodi when i heard an argument ensue between a policeman and a commercial driver. after dragging it for a while, the policeman told someone begging him on the guy's behalf and i quote "we dontbeg people, we are police force, we foce people".
now, is there or is there not something wrong with the orientation?

a total overhaul/makeover is recommended for the institution.

There are two side of the story, was the stove bought legitimately? true there are bad elements within the police, but not all police officers are bad as been portrayed.

so in that case, we should always have handy receipts for our mobile phones, iPods, wrist watches, shirts, trousers, boxers, thongs, earings, carry-on bags, etc

NONSENSE. do they have receipts for their own shit as well?

well, the idea is to show that nigerian banks are doing a lot to break the gender gap and glass ceiling. this will be a way of showing other sectors how it is done so they can do it as well.

TravelRe: My Trip To London With Qatar Airlines by deezzle(op): 8:35am On Jul 18, 2007
I don't think you should shelve your plans to fly Qatar Airways
because of deezle's experience. The problem arose only because
he missed his connecting flight. Chances are that is a rare occurence.

And for peace of mind why not look into getting a Qatar transit(not airside) visa
so if it does happen you will be able to leave the airport?

how come on both trips, the connecting flights were missed? i know all about transit visa but its only right that ur airline takes care of u. Emirates booked a hotel for those that were affected in a similar situation. the problem with qatar is that they didnt wanna spend so much on accomodation. dem wan all to be profit.period!!!!
