I think you are not alone in this category. Yours is even better being an undergraduate. I am already a graduate and I think I understand English language but speaking and writing it has become a very big challenge to me. I still think yours is better because it hasn’t caused you a relationship? Mine, it has ruined my relationship with a lady.

Some times when I want to pronounce a particular word another thing entirely would come out. Let me give a typical example. Yesterday, someone greeted me and I wanted to reply and tell him “how is your day” but do you know that I ended up telling him “how was your day” when the day was not over yet. Can you imagine an abuse of tenses such as that?

I think I learnt something from those who contributed to your thread and I do hope that with time we’ll be able to catch up with those who know how to communicate effectively in this English language if only we did not relent in our effort to learn the Language.

Mind you, it is only those of us who are bold enough that are expressing our incompetence in a public forum such as naira land. They are people who are worse off than you and I, and yet see nothing wrong in it.

I’m sorry; my contribution to this matter may sound crude and provocative. I advise that you take in good faith.
I have a very simple question to ask the Wife in question. Does it really mean that if the man dies or travel during the period of her pregnancy, the woman won’t continue to live her life and do the necessary domestic work again? Who will be doing all these things for her in such a situation? I’m not wishing any body dead any way.

There are two options I’ll implore them to take.
1. To either come back to Nigeria and process a visa for small girl who may be relative or friend to serve as House Help for them, or
2. Get a nanny over there.
The African men I know are not always comfort with that kind of relationship even though they are living in US or UK. Irrespective of how long they may be there. “A mangrove living near the water for so long does not make it a crocodile”. If this attitude of hers is being copied from the white women, you the post of this thread should advice your friend to stop it now before it brings a crack into their marriage or if you admit that you are the one, nobody is going to circumcise u.

At last, Obj has admitted hand picking Yaradua and imposed him on Nigerians (an allegation he had been denying all this while). I am sure this would serve as a lesson to him and any other person who is aspiring to rule this country that the decision you take as chairman of otta farms concerning farming business at otta farms is different from the one you take as a president of a nation like Nigeria concerning Nigerian.

He felt then that as a serving president, he had the right without constitutional backing to pick any “Tom, Dick and Harry” to succeed him. Now where is the power to remove the President? Since his health or whatever reason Yaradua may give for not performing up to expectation


He should first of all apologise to Nigerians, for imposing a wrong leader on us, after that, we can join hands with him to call on Musa to resign.

Although his comment on the health of the President has generated a lot of out cry from PDP officials who are directly or indirectly benefiting from this administration. In my opinion, there are no bases for these. It is the same OBJ who imposed this man on us thinking that the man has all it takes to be a good leader according to him, now that his health is failing him, he (OBJ) is advising him to resign too. Therefore, there is no need crucifying him at this time.

If not for the health of the president, in term of performance, Obj has no right to call on the President to resign because I can not point out at any achievement of OBJ 's administrations.
I know that some people in this forum and elsewhere might pick offence on my comment but I think I am subject to my opinion here.
