I often time I see adverts and messages from telecom Service Provers like Glo, MTN, ETISAlAt and AIRTEl calling on customers to subscribe to their Health Insurance Package. I wonder how it works. Has anybody really benefited from this Health insurance Service as advertised by these companies? How is it done? Is there anybody in this house who has benefited and can enlighten us on how to go about it? Which hospitals are partners that one can go to and what evidence do you need to tender when u get there?
If it works the way it is advertised I think those people who are not covered by any other health insurance will find it highly beneficial.
Pls, let those with better understanding of it educate us

President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that his government will recover much of the monies looted from the treasuries of Nigeria with an initiative he will put in place.

Buhari said by the time the government he will be heading will settle down and his anti-corruption programme is unveiled, those who stole blindly from the government coffers would cough what they stole.

Buhari made this known in Daura recently when responding to entreaties from supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who urged him not to take the war against corruption with levity.

One of the APC top members who was in attendance at the brief meeting in Daura said the President-elect was optimistic that those who stole from the governments of Nigeria in all tiers will voluntarily return what they stole.

He said Buhari was of the view that while he would not go all out to initiate a process to jail looters of the treasury, anyone who failed to co-operate with measures to be put in place for recovery of looted funds will have to face the music.

Newspot Nigeria learnt that Buhari had will set up a committee to probe the amount of monies generated by the Nigerian government in the past two years with a view to determining how much had been misappropriated within the period.

The Committee, it was learnt, will after the probe compile the list of government officials suspected to have misappropriated the funds put in their care for different projects while in office.

For close to three weeks now or more, we have been experiencing serious fuels scarcity in Abuja and its environs with very long queues around the few filling stations that manage to sell to the public. All the while no convincing official explanation has been offered by the Government agencies concerned.
We were told that the pump price has been reduced from N97 to N87 but apart from those filling stations located with the Abuja Municipality, others who claim to be selling at official rate of N87 adjusted their meters to the extent that N500 fuel could not fill a 4ltr gallon.
At Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital yesterday, I bought at the rate of N108/L. This is how bad the situation is around here and I see no sign of this regime solving this problem before its expiration date. My concern is that if the situation is this bad over here which is the seat of government, I wonder what people may be going through in the states and rural areas.
Is there hope of us getting over this before the handover date? Share your experience in your locality with us.

He is too big for the position. One thing we fail to understand is that there is more money in ministry of petroleum resources than that of finance- ministry. Besides we are not talking about where money can be looted most, we are talking about credible and robust leadership.

does it really matter? the current FCT Minister was in the Senate when he was appointed. I feel that he can contribute more to the growth and development of this country as a minister.

Over all, with a least five sound and good ministers, the govt will provide the kind of leadership / change Nigerians want to see.

There is no doubt that Nairaland is the largest Social Site in Nigeria, if not on the continent of Africa, I Stand to be corrected anyway, with members from all facet of life. Although we are in this forum for various reasons known to ourselves alone, but some are here principally to engage in fraudulent activities like scamming unsuspected members of the society
My question is; what is wrong in making the identity of members real just like other social sites. I believe that doing this will help in reducing illegal activities in on this site.
