incredible things happen in this country. I was watching to c that the president would ask his wife to reject that appointment since it was no lobbied for. To my greatest suprise the president is keeping mute to the whole thing which means that he lent his support that. i know very well that his die-hard followers will certainly come upon me for tryin to criticise their master eventhough he publicly admitted his failure yesterday. Those who gave his wife this appointment claimed that d 1st lady will not b paid from the state treasury but how do they expect us to believe that. If that appointment was an honorary one as their are claiming, the question then is 'is a state Perm Sec bigger than office of the First Lady?' what kind of honor could that be? Dont u think this president is institutionalizing corruption in Nigeria with inpunity? |

First policy towards ritht direction since the inception of this administration. |
I dont bahave childish, that i know. Besides, I wear a face that looks older than my age because am in my early 30s and already having grey beards .Yet, a lady friend of mine in my office often addresses me as a boy and I keep reminding her that am a man and not a boy. I was suprised when another lady in my office reffered to me as a boy and i immediately corrected her that am a man and not a boy. My question is 'when is 1 old enough to be a man'. If u say its only those male who are married, the 2nd lady I talked about never knew me as to if am married or not more so,she is in another dept in a different apartment who does not even know me as such.secondly,am wrong in telling them that an adult male is a man? Is it an abuse of words on their part? |
only fools express themselves this way! |

This looks more like a cooked story to tanish the image of the committee members and Faruk being the chairman. First, it was reported that the money was given to him @ the Airport and now he claimed that the money was given to them in his house. Secondly, after the money was given to them, was his company's name mentioned in the report as earlier promised? Thirdly, the money was given inconjuction with security officials, yet the EFCC is yet to receive the report of that alligation. |
If he were to be alive, Nigeria suerely would ve developed more than what we have today. Those who refused to acknowledge his good work call u names but i call him great man. RIP |
Pls, somebody should help me out. Before u advice the poster and for the benefit of others, is it really true that one smells after sex? man or woman? Nobody seems to have ans. That question. |
life_style: I think you should frist define what Democracy is...it is not a govt of some pple, by some pple nd for some pple.but that is what we have in Nig. Today. |
NLanders, What really do we celebrate in Nig.every 29th of May since 1999? Poverty, corruption, underdevelopment etc. To those who currently benefit in 1 form or the other, directly or indirectly, they may criticise my positn but growth nd development takes place when everybody benefit from the syst. As far as I am concern,Millitary rule is the best syst. for Nig nd let them stop wasting our money on the so called democracy. |
"Islam is a religion for peace" I agree to that slogan but my question is (1) where and which religious group should the message be preached to?. As for me, it should be preached to the Muslim umar and not to the public or "Alrina" |
is SR making our national acct. Better off or worse off? Personally, i feel that is not improving our acct as FGN attributed the non payment of February salaries to shortage of funds. Whereas we were promised that the removal would make more money available for developmental purposes. Now there is no money to efficiently run the recurrent expenditure almost 3 months after partial SR as they claimed. Your take on this please, |
Nairalanders, please, i want to know the best PFA in Nigeria and ur reason (s) for considering it the best. This will help me in appointing one for myself. Thank u as i wait for ur responses. |
many 21st century cheldren in Nigeria considered speaking their native langauges as antisocial. I have come accross a number of them, most especially, those from the minority tribes in Nigeria. Kudos to the Yurobas and the Housas who try as much as passible to ensure that their language do not go into extinsion by ensuring that their children speak their native language. To me, talking in my native dailect is as good as talking in the English language. As a matter of fact, i wish that novels, scientific findings, journals etc could be written in Igede language. But unfortunately,my laguage being minority amongst minorities, is yet to develop to that extent. My position on this matter is that it is better for us to be as fluent as possible in our native laguage as we speak the English language. What i want to know is this, if you considered speaking your language as antisocial, how would you address your community during your electioneering ? For eg, if you are aspiring for local govt chair, house of rep or even a sanatorial seat and you claim to come from a particular place, which you must address your audience in your native dialect otherwise, you are regarded as foreigner in their mids. That alone is a serious political weapon your political rival can use against you. Or what has been your experience in such situations? |
this is what the govt of day wants. It is out to subject the poor masses to agony and u and i is paying through our noses for poor leadership. Die had supporters! Come out and defend ur govt. Govt without agenda! |

I want to be rich, you want to be rich, he wants to be rich, and they want to be rich. As a matter of facts no body wants to be poor in this life. We all struggle to be rich. But we have not really taken our time to find out what really determines riches or poverty in our lives. To some, it is by hard working, others see what determines riches as going to school, to study good course, graduate with a good result and automatically become rich in life. Those who belong to this school of thought may be right after all, but not absolutely. Do we know that some people toiled from cradle to the grave and yet not rich? Again, people who have the best of results from the best schools in the world are not necessarily the world riches people. We all know that Bill Gate that was one time among the world riches persons did not complete his university education. Alh. Aliko Dangote in Nigeria did not have better result than some people in Nigeria neither did Daniel Adenuka or Odutola. Or is it because they worked harder than their contemporaries? No! I do not think so. We go to school to study in order to enhance our welfare economically as education they said is for self development, Though riches is not directly thought in schools. We read the most inspiring motivational books in the world such as Think and Grow Rich, Poor Dad Rich Dad, The Riches man in Babylon to mention but a few , yet I discover that the author of those books were not rich themselves. I have practice virtually all the principles highlighted in these books but there are really not yielding the kind of results I desire to see. I do not know about you. My write up may be lengthy, but my question to all those who care to read this piece is that, Is it hard work, destiny or luck that determines Riches? Since every body wants to be rich including my humble self. Your contributions and suggestions might go a long way to creating a solution to poverty in Nigeria and the world at large. |

Please, I want to know your relationship with your ex-boy or girl friends. I have noticed that after a break up in a relationship, a majority of people hate being friends to their ex. Although what led to the break up is best known to the two parties involved in the relationship. Often time; we hear statement such as “I regret ever knowing him or her” Even when they come across each other, exchanging greetings becomes a problem. But that is not to conclude that they are enemies anyway. So, what are our reasons for that? Can’t we break up an intimate relationship and still live our normal lives like we used to live before the relationship? I know that threads similar to this one have been posted before but what I want know is why people hate each other after a break up in a relationship. Personally, I think that if our relationship is not cordial, that shouldn’t turn us into enemies. |
