American young billionaire and model, Kylie Jenner has beaten football superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo as the world richest entertainer on Instagram rich list.

Jenner, with an Instagram followers of 139.2 million, has a worth of $1,226,000 cost per post to remain on top ahead of Ronaldo, who is third on the list, even though she has fewer followers on Instagram than the football superstar.

America’s singer and actress, Ariana Grande is second on the list with an Instagram followership of 158.4 million and a worth of $996,000 cost per post to emerge second ahead of Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, who plies his trade in Juventus has the highest followers on Instagram (172.8 million), but is the third richest on the rich list, with a worth of $975,000 cost per post.

Kim Kardashian is 4th on the list, followed by Selena Gomez (5th), Dwayne Johnson (6th), Beyonce Knowles (7th), Taylor Swift (8th) Neymar da Silva Santos Junior (9th) and Justin Bieber (10th).

The US government has announced visa restriction on Nigerians who “sabotaged” the country’s democracy. 

This was made known in a statement signed by Morgan Ortagus, spokesperson of the US department of state. 

“The United States is a steadfast supporter of Nigerian democracy. We commend all those Nigerians who participated peacefully in the February and March 2019 elections and have worked to strengthen Nigerian democratic institutions and processes,” the statement read. 

“As Nigeria marks the twentieth anniversary of a return to democratic rule this year, we remain committed to working together to continue to advance democracy and respect for human rights and achieve greater peace and prosperity for both our nations. We condemn those whose acts of violence, intimidation, or corruption harmed Nigerians or undermined the democratic process.

“In a January 24 statement, the U.S. government said that we would consider consequences – including visa restrictions – for individuals responsible for undermining the Nigerian democratic process or for organising election-related violence.  To that end, the Secretary of State is imposing visa restrictions on Nigerians believed to be responsible for, or complicit in, undermining democracy in Nigeria. These individuals have operated with impunity at the expense of the Nigerian people and undermined democratic principles and human rights.”

The department of state also emphasised that the actions announced are specific to certain individuals and not directed at the Nigerian people or the newly elected government. 

The names of the affected persons were not disclosed.

Instead, a human rights lawyer and member of the Buhari Campaign team Festus Keyamo was given the nod from the Niger Delta state.

He was the Minister of Petroleum (State) as Buhari started his first term.

4. Audu Ogbeh

He’s long been in Nigeria’s political arena and was once the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In Buhari’s first stint, he was Minister of Agriculture and Rural Resources but could not make it this second term.

5. Mansur Dan Ali

With Nigeria facing security battles, Buhari have decided to drop Dan Ali as Defence Minister.

Nigeria’s are eager to know who’ll finally take over from the Zamfara-born politician in the “Next Level” cabinet.

American female wrestler, Maria A. Spiro, popularly known as Maria Manic has beaten up three male wrestlers in the ring in an overwhelming display of strength.

The 22-year old Maria Manic, who was born March 25, 1997, is an American professional wrestler who spent her debut year in Covey Promotions (CP), located in West Virginia. On October 17, 2015 Manic wrestled and defeated Nyla Rose at CP Homecoming 2015 in a CP Women’s Championship match won by Rose.

On November 14 at CP 5th Annual Veteran’s Day Weekend Wrestling Extravaganza, Manic lost her title rematch against Rose. On December 12 at CP Christmas Chaos 2015, Manic won the title from wrestling.

Singer, Timi Dakolo told a news conference on Sunday in Lagos that his life and that of his wife and children are in danger since the alleged rape scandal involving Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) came to the limelight.


Busola Dakolo had alleged that Fatoyinbo raped her 20 years ago when she was still 16 years in Ilorin, Kwara State, but Fatoyinbo had denied the allegations.

At a news conference held at the Regency Hotel, Lagos, Dakolo stated that things got worse when their residential address in Lagos was made public, thereby making them susceptible to attacks.

According to him, he had noted with increasing alarm, how his life and that of his wife and children had been put at risk by unscrupulous persons.

“We have been followed, our home has been watched, people have been standing in corners pointing fingers at our home – we have been unable to do any work; the children have had to be explained to several times why they cannot go outside and play,” he alleged.

He said that his wife, Busola was trailed home by the policemen who initially attempted to abduct her, saying that one of the officers told his wife “Oga is in the car and he wants to speak with her” which made him suspected that the armed policemen were at his home to deliver more than a letter.

According to Dakolo, his wife had filed a petition at the office of an ‘AGP’ in Alagbon, Ikoyi June 27, 2019, over the alleged rape incident.

“The AGP personally assigned the file and personally asked for an expedition of action to investigate the case. This was before the YNaija video was released. We had since been to the police station on several occasions on the invitation of the police to respond to various questions in the course of the investigation” he further mentioned.

“We were therefore shocked to have been invited to Abuja when no visible action was taken to interview Mr Fatoyinbo. As far as we know, Mr Fatoyinbo has not been questioned on the strength of my wife’s petition even after several invitations by the police,” he said.

He also disclosed that his petition and that of Fatoyinbo had been moved to Lagos, saying that “We have never threatened anyone on our lives. Rather, we are now the ones who feel threatened. That is why we have Falana & Falana Chambers representing us and they have reported this matter to the police.

“We receive the information from our lawyers, Falana & Falana Chambers, this morning that both our petition and the petition of Mr Biodun Fatoyinbo will be moved to Lagos. We acknowledge the effort of the Nigeria Police to ensure that our confidence in their impartiality, professionalism and good sense in this case is not shaken.”

The Presidency has dismissed Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) allegation that the one billion dollars drawn from the Excess Crude Account (ECA) was spent by the Muhammadu Buhari administration on the 2019 general elections.

The Peoples Democratic Party in a statement on Sunday asked Buhari to explain to Nigerians what his administration had done with one billion dollars drawn from the ECA in 2017 and meant to address the nation’s security challenges.

The amount was approved by the National Economic Council in December, 2017, to be used to purchase weapons to fight insurgency across the country.

However, Malam Garba Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, in a statement in Abuja on Sunday, said “this unverifiable allegation’’ clearly indicated that the PDP was suffering from socio emotional distress.

He said PDP ”thinks that all governments in the world run on the basis of freewheeling looting as they did their own.

”Here is what happened to that 1 billion dollars. It’s on record that the Buhari administration paid about 490 million dollars for a dozen Super Tucano fighter aircraft in a direct, government-to-government (no Contractors or Commission Agents) transaction with government of the United States.

”Various other military procurement have been made. Balance of expenditure stands at about 880 million dollars or so. The PDP spent Defence procurement funds on their failed 2015 political campaigns as proven in court. That is not to say every succeeding government, more so one led by a Buhari will do the same.”

The presidential aide added that, barring considerations of national security, the details of the stage of implementation, the procurement made and the suppliers would be obtained and made available on Monday.

Facebook said it recently disabled billions of bogus accounts set up by “bad actors” and that five percent of active accounts are likely fakes.

An estimate of how many of the online social networks accounts are fake and actions taken against the creation of more during the first three months of this year was disclosed in Facebook’s latest report, published on Thursday, on enforcement activity.

Facebook disabled 2.19 billion accounts in the first quarter of this year, nearly double the number of accounts nixed in the prior three-month period, according to vice president of integrity Guy Rosen.

“The amount of accounts we took action on increased due to automated attacks by bad actors who attempt to create large volumes of accounts at one time,” Rosen said.

Facebook apparently disabled the accounts as automated imposters were trying to establish them. The leading social network, meanwhile, estimated that five percent of its 2.4 billion monthly active users were fake accounts yet to be uncovered.

The California-based company also said it has made progress in battling hate speech, automatically detecting 65 percent of the content removed instead of needing to wait for users to report it.

Facebook took down four million posts considered hate speech in the first quarter of this year and continues to invest in technology to better detect such material in various languages and regions, according to Rosen.

Zealand, France, and the Netherlands offer the highest minimum hourly wages in the world, according to data from Germany’s Wirtschafts-und Sozialwissenschaftliches Institut (WSI).

The hourly minimum wage in Australia is US$14.14, Luxembourg at US$13.14 per hour, New Zealand at US$11.28 per hour, France at US$11.24 per hour, while the Netherlands offers US$11.01.

The hourly rate in the United States yields the equivalent of US$6.63 of purchasing power, according to the report, almost four times that of Russia’s, which is worth only $1.87 in purchasing power terms.
