Certification And Training Adverts / Re: How To Get Your Dream Job! by Dehley(m): 6:08pm On Sep 15, 2013
Am glad you understand what I meant. Yes, it's possible to submit your CV through an insider.
Paulipopor:

I understand totally what you're saying. If you read my thoughts thoroughly you'll note that the idea is to do things differently. Do it your own way, away from the "normal" way of doing it.
Towards the last paragraphs I said you could start communicating with an insider. You can get to meet an insider on LinkedIn.
Certification And Training Adverts / Re: How To Get Your Dream Job! by Dehley(m): 5:03pm On Sep 15, 2013
I want you understand this fact, you can't gain entrance into most of these well-structured coys to submit your CV unless you are being invited by an insider. The company's security men have a way of knowing the visitors who are geniuely invited, its either you take or leave it.

Paulipopor: The next logical step after schooling (or NYSC for Nigerian graduates) is to get a job. This is usually not the case for most job-seekers. Many of them have to wait from between one to ten years before landing a "good" job.

Personally for me I don't believe there are no jobs. The challenge most time is how to get the available jobs. The truth is that people get new jobs everyday. People are promoted everyday and the posts they leave behind are still vacant. Businesses are being registered on a daily basis (na spirits dem employ?).

After establishing the fact that their are jobs, the next thing is to have a plan and a definite strategy. You must understand that the conventional way of getting a job will not work for everybody. Your chances in the conventional ways are limited because of the population of people looking for the same thing you're looking for. Some even have better qualifications than you. That's why you need to strategize!

How to plan and strategize?

The economy is divided into sectors/industries, these industries are sub-divided into firms. What you studied might not be found in every firm (unlike accounting or IT). So you have to identify the firms that need your skills. Get the details of these firms, their names, location, what they do etc. This information will guide your approach. Prepare a good CV and cover letter. Don't wait for them to ask you for your CV. Don't send soft copy only. These companies receive thousands of CV online daily. Go to the company PHYSICALLY.

Don't give your CV and Covet Letter to the "gatemen"/security, not the receptionist not even the HR (in some cases). Try and get it to a top management staff, or a P.A to the MD. You can get to meet a top person who works there on LinkedIn.

The idea is to get their attention at all cost. This will land you an invite. The other process of test, series of interviews, etc, you'll also need to be well prepared.

I challenge you today, go and make a difference. Get that dream job. Don't reduce your expectations.

Shalom!

Chrisvicmall:

We would highly appreciate if you can tell us the day the issue was solved, the person that gave you the information. You can send it to our email so that we can contact the person directly.

Supposing that the issue has been cleared as claimed here (http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/customs-re-opens-nahco-sahcol-warehouses/158908/), it is almost impossible for you to receive the goods the same day. There should be some sort of clearance, repacking and other things. If the news is correct, then from estimate your product should be ready any moment from next week

Expecting your reply

You don't need me to disclose the personality behinds the news I heard concerning NAHCO issue. It was all over the news that the issue had been resolved, so what are you trying to insinuate concerning the issue.

I was made to understand that customs had resolved the issue concerning NAHCO and SAHCOL but your agents in Lagos are denying this fact. Please when am I getting my goods as I am already planning to take another step of action if nothing is done.

Career / Re: A Lecturing Job! by Dehley(m): 9:26pm On Aug 20, 2013
Guitarlife: The faculty is broke most times. Coupled with the greed of Lecturers, you are even expected to drop some incentives for your non performing and mostly lazy supervisors for doing nothing. They know they got you by the balls so their ain't Shiite you can do. Its a terrible experience bro. Don't even think about doing a Ph.D in Naija. My two pence.

Thanks for the insight.
Career / Re: A Lecturing Job! by Dehley(m): 2:36pm On Aug 20, 2013
Guitarlife: PGD Education? That's a fallacy. Of course you will enrol for a master programme and then a Ph.D programme. I advise you to pursue further degree abroad if you have the means. Whatever you do, never you embark on a Ph.D programme in Nigeria. You will end up frustrated, disillusioned, depressed and worst of all you will not learn anything in the six or more years you ma spend pursuing the degree. I am rounding up my M.ENG in a Nigerian University so I am giving you first hand info.
But then, maybe its just engineering that has issue sha.

Pls I will like to know if it's compulsory for the department to give roles to PhD students during the course of their programs and can you state the range of their monthly stipend.

Yorubest: We already know this

The sad thing is that the governors of their states are failing them and all the 40million of them want to be in Lagos

I have always suspect your comments concerning issues on NL. You are always licking Fashola's ass.
