@poster
Am of opinion that the solution to ur post is that a rigorous prayer and fasting should embark upon seriously as well as taking away the unmordern restriction of IGBO SUITOR AND CATHOLIC DENOMINATION.
I actually believe u are not faking nairaland but adhere to the above solution.
And ur testimony is going to be great.

Business / Re: Alhaji Aliko Dangote: What do you know about him? by Deji1010(m): 11:07pm On Apr 03, 2008
The truth is that Aliko Dangote is an astute and ground breaker business mogul
that use self growth to deliver jobs to millions of people (not Nigerians alone are in his pay role)
Also Dangote is a sound program timer i.e he understood his timing of business which is one of the key to successful business.
As much as i respect the Kano breed billionaire never should anyone compare him with
czar Richard Branson.

In short, your Big Man Index (BMI) is directly proportional to your LawLessness Index (LLI). I doubt if any rigorous sociology research will not confirm such correlation.
Let's hope that with democracy, growth of genuine civil society advocacy groups, increased morality sermons from our religious organisations and our active discussions there may be positive change- Amen.
@anonimi: Special thanks for the above comments.
@ my friend (londoner), am not been personal on this topic.

The bible tell me in Gospel Of John 8vs 32 that "ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free".To be truthful the decay system of ours constitute the mess we are experiencing in Nigeria in line with lawlessness verbally, morally as well as legal point of view.
1) A culture/system that fail to provide adequate emloyment for the people.
2) A culture/system that fail to provide unfalter electricity for the people.
3) A culture/system that fail to provide unfalter electricity for the people.
4) A culture/system that fail to provide sound health delivery for the people.
5) A culture/system that fail to provide quality education for the people.
6) A culture/system that fail to provide good roads network for the people.
7) A culture/system that fail to develop human resource.
the above and others deficency of our government usually resulted in citizenship lawlessness, unethical use of abusive words, all these borne out of frustration from the eye of the people.
Imagine the unskill people in "LAGOS BUSES/METROPOLITAN"that lack formal education or those that have formal education (degree holder inclusive)that have no JOB but take faith in riding OKADA AS A SOURCE OF LIVINGHOOD OR THE RATE AT WISH PEOPLE ARE BEEN UNJUSTIFY SACK IN COMPANIES, all these and others can bring about intolerable communication due to frustration.
Lets me take u back to ZIGGY MAMA'S VIEW.
As for the Bus Conductors in Lagos, it’s an addiction like heroine or Cocaine, witout which they cannot start or end the day. It's lik a communicable disease wherby u hav to b careful not to get infected

May God help us and give us all inner peace and excessive tolerance to avoid fallin prey

School yrself wel so when our Nigerian kind of Abuse comes yr way,or a foreign one 4 that matter. . . u can always jus dust it off.
To reduce the menace in our society, we must firstly address the system restructuring i.e enhancing human value through government meeeting human needs.
Londoner, how can we reduce abusive words in black communities?
Culture / Re: Is Abuse Part Of Our Culture by Deji1010(m): 10:12pm On Apr 01, 2008
I kindly appreciate all of u been patriotic, am also a patriotic nigerian breed that love my country so much. But the truth is that the rate of daily abusive/curses with spiritual implication on individuals in nigeria is a sorry case.
I totally agreed with u all that every other part of the world associate with abusive words as well, ours is the worst.very very worst.
Culture / Re: Do We Still Respect Our Culture? by Deji1010(m): 5:09am On Mar 29, 2008
patriotic aside, our culture is the most oldly fashion without mordern improvement
our culture begins from birth, upbrings, schooling, job, marriage, poor roads that has been existing PRIOR AND DURING AWO,ZIK,AHMADU BELLO,electricity, water system,e.t.c
or is it juju that cannot consruct a bicycle, bridge, dam, plane, train jet busand co.But the culture can ask a widow to stay with a dead husband 4 how many days? and washing and drinking the dead bath water or casting evil spell on a promising someone in a family.
Adviceable 4 us to look into how soon will embrace developmental culture not arcace types.
KINDLY READ 'IS ABUSE PART OF OUR CULTURE'in nairaland and you got to understand where nigeria culture begins 4rm i.e MOUTH

Culture / Re: Is Abuse Part Of Our Culture by Deji1010(m): 12:29am On Mar 29, 2008
@EloSela
The fact that social laws are not in place in Nigeria is the real the issue here. People can run riot and do what the hell they want, practically getting away with murder because of the lack of such laws.

I totally disagree with you on the facts that social laws are not available in Nigeria and i stronglly believe the learned lawyers in nigeria will prove you WRONG.
Thier are social laws in Nigeria but the problems is that the government agency to enhance and see to effectiveness of such and relatives laws are [i]deep in curruption .[b]
a practical example is one ex inspector general of police that was disgracefully removed during OBJ last tenure.
Also poor enlightment education programme in all tiers of academic learning in Nigeria constituted into this abusive mess in our society.

@ Londoner
There are numerous records of policemen beating and killing people in UK and US, they are rarely prosecuted for it, they usually go through the motions to look like they are doing something about it.
I PRAY TO THE LORD JESUS THAT YOU OR NON OF YOUR RELATIVES EVER EXPERIENCE THE FRUSTRATION IN THE EYES OF NIGERIA POLICE (WHETHER YOU ON YOUR RIGHT OR NOT)Imagine a police officer resume work in a conjested traffic junction from 7am and close 6pm, in the quest of doing this tedious hours services, they have access to popular pure water with roasted plantain (boli)and groundnuts "AS LUNCH" or a poor paid patrol policemen can do anything to get illegitimate money to meet thier home and social needs.
@greegg2
In Nigeria it's very common among the Yorubas . . . or maybe we should say Lagos. It's very rare among the Hausas and occasionally among the Ibos

Lagos market women, bus conductors, agberos use it as greetings. sad.
Is not a true say and dont be ethnic bias. Abusive words is all part of our nature i.e in high and low of our living system and urgent measure to lower the state of abuse in our environment should be our concern.
OURS IS WORST COMPARE TO WESTERN WORLD IN LINE WITH RULES OF LAW AND EFFECTIVENESS. I CHALLENGE ANY ONE THAT SAID WESTERNERS ARE MORE ABUSIVE.

The result of stepmum can be view from Abraham,Sarah and Hagar experience.
kindly read Genesis 16,17vs15-27.
To every first ordained marriage there is a good convenant and that is what God eventually give
to Sarah's son Isaac,
issues of stepmum/breaking home is another big social constraint that have put African
developmental initiatives in a poor state compare to our white brothers.
I have 1 stepmum 4 her behaviour towards me and my siblings-i hand over that critical part of life to God's throne of mercy to judge.

The truth is often a bitter pill to swallow. We are still behaving in a similiar way today
GREAT Talk.we are not behaving, we are soaked deep in mordern slavery. The mordern slavery has contributed to backwardness of BLACK RACE.

Hi Bwestind,
Home is home is a popular adage in Africa which reflects that no Africans or betterstill
blacks will ever forgot is root, take cue from Obama, Nelson Mandela, Zinade Zidane,
Patrick Viera, Pastor Mattew Ashimolowo to mention few of the living ones as a better example of blacks that remember thier roots and openly profess it.
Blacks in Caribbeans,South Americans,American negroes etc are all "BLACK WITH ORIGIN FROM AFRICAN"
African geneaology indicates how the white brothers invade our land- AFRICA and forcefully stole our ancient fathers and mothers into slavery.I guess you are conversant
with African slavery,it is the one that bring about my brothers in some parts of the world not been able to speak language or locate their roots.

Hi blackcat,
I strongly disagree that Nigerians are very racist to white men.
What does Agberos and deported Nigerians do to them?
The truth is that we dont even cherish ourselves (blacks),we daily curse ourselves and
devalue our individual interest.
Have u have experience with multinational or Nigerian brand companies how they gave great respect to the white friends of us OVER THE BLACKS.
Culture / Re: Is Abuse Part Of Our Culture by Deji1010(m): 2:28am On Mar 14, 2008
Sincerely agreed with your view about the comparative analysis of both (WESTERN COUNTRIES AND NIGERIA) It's obvious that we Africans are looking upto West and U.S in every sector of life such as refining our crude oil FOR FINISH PRODUCTS,facilitating our energy, infrasructure development, education @ U.k.universities,(care 4 one too in Wales or Dublin) economic and political reform as well as bringing to Africa stinking social vices such as abuse and poor respect for culture.

We and our leaders always copy copy the Oyinbo man system which already has a devastating consequence to our sacred, cherised and respected culture.

Mordernisation is eventful and ideas creation not polluted social vices of
west to Nigeria because research shows that most of these abusive words are been watch on foreign movies and translated to our mother tongues.

The alarming rate of curse in Lagos is disturbing and urgently need to be check by individuals, religion bodies, parents, teachers,as well as legislative arms of government introducing bills on how to restrict verbal abuse in Lagos through mass enlightment programms.

Lets cherish black race once again by respecting our self and projecting black great as a community where they respect themselves and have zero tolerance abusive behavior culture and THE WHITE COMMUNITY USING US AS CASE STUDY 4 CHANGE IS GOING TO BE GREAT!

Am very pitiful to my Nigerians fellows whom are been spat upon and phsically abuse, we dont do that to white men in our countries,we see them and cherish them.

Kindly tell me notable commonly use abusive words in U.K. and legal implication. Is abusive words borne out of frusration or poverty of environment.
