Even Jonathan has moved on. What is with these interlopers? Sore election losers. People close to Jonathan has come out say that Jonathan confessed to them that whosoever wins the 2015 election will have much difficulty governing due to the bad economy and the cosmetic cover up that they gave the economy then.

ChristCee: Country is finished. If this can happen to a federal senator just imagine what would happen to the innocent masses. All these unnecessary show of force and flexing of power is fruitless. Let's be honest. Nigeria can't afford to fight two wars on different fronts. These boys should be in the north securing the country, every single political and terror problems in the south is something dialogue and slight change of policies can handle. If you doubt me ask Yaradu'a how he solved militancy problems. You are always finishing.. When will you be finished with your finishing? Fish head ... |

kikake: Are you normal? There was regional government system when Aguiyi Ironsi was killed. Ironsi merely took up some power from the regions to stop Arewa from imminent secession from Nigeria. Arewa never knew there was crude oil in the south then.
For example; Ironsi was killed with the military governor of Western region because the military gov refused the villainous soldiers of Arewa to kill Ironsi. Regional government under military rule? Obviously you are demented. |

Believeintruth: Stop being foolish here. Regional government is not our answer at the moment. If we rejig the present constitution to practice true federalism it is the best, because regional system inly amplifies the same tribalism and nepotism we are complaining about. Who is afraid of tribalism? It's time to answer ya papa name. No more hiding under one Nigeria . |

Believeintruth: You still don't get the idea no one had an issue with regional government. Even the idea of unitary system was to unify the civil service, the regions were never touched, and let me burst your bubble the unitary system was suggested by Chief Simeon Adebo. So it was not even an igbo man that muted the idea of Unitary system. You are wasting your time. You deceive yourself too much. Regional govt under military govt? Biko, go and count sand. |

Believeintruth: Oga see bring development statistics from 1950 till 1966 the Eastern region had progressed far ahead of the Western region. They were fastest growing region economically courtesy of M.I Okpara's policies and Zik's developmental programs. If you believe your fallacy here, then you should be glad at the prospect of returning to regional govt. Two opposite sets of people can never be victims of lies. If the person being lied to is ignorant, the person telling the lies sure knows he is lying. |

Politics › Re: Who Will You Pick To Lead Your Region If Regional Government Is Reintroduced? by deji17: 4:31am On Jun 01, 2024 |
Believeintruth: Let us talk about development, if there was a region that witnessed rapid development it was the Eastern region. We already had two power stations Afam and Oji River when you guys had only one. The only exception was the first radio and TV station. The East had the first indigenous degree awarding university in Nigeria(UNN) at a time when UI was still an affiliate campus for University College London. The best years was in the mid 50s when Awo introduced free education to battle with the high enrollment numbers that the south east had. The 60s was not the best for Western region because you all had crisis from 1962 which led to Awolowo being imprisoned, then the Western region crisis also was another issue. I will not get into a rabbit hole argument about who was doing better or who was struggling with regional govt. It's waste of my time. My take is that regional govt is the way to go and the South West fared better then. And since the East was doing very well, then they should not have any problem with regional govt. |
Politics › Re: Who Will You Pick To Lead Your Region If Regional Government Is Reintroduced? by deji17: 4:20am On Jun 01, 2024 |
Believeintruth: Finally some one with real brain here has spoken regional system will be a disaster as it will magnify the tribal situation we have. It will not. We practised it before 1966 and that was the best period for Nigeria especially the South West. Ibadan was the capital and the region witnesses a lot of development. |

If the constitutional amendment for regional government is to succeed, who should lead the Southeast region?
⚫️ Peter Obi ⚫️ Chukwuma Charles Soludo ⚫️ Dave Umahi ⚫️ Anyim Pius Anyim For South East to stand a chance, it's between Soludo and Umahi. The rest are Gbajue.. |

Trimjos: This one is typical of the descendant of the fallen demon. Always absolving blames from the leaders but quick to blame ordinary Nigerians. Every Nigerian should now turn to farmer coz a clueless idiot is the president Since you have been blaming leaders for what you can do for yourself, how has that helped you? Continue to wail. Farming is not on any tier of govt exclusive list. Anybody can do it, except for the lazy. |
