Well God knows best, funnily enough you also won the 10k last week and you're winning it again today. Boss abeg show me love the question is simple but very trickish and confusing especially the colours. The reason I'm able to solve it in less than 30 minutes is that I've solved a similar riddle like that in the past. your last request is granted. hope you don't mind airtime?? if yes, drop your phone number |

kimbat: QUIZPAYZ Three ladies met at a jewelry store. ‘Look here,’ said Susan to Amina, ‘I’ll give you six of my black stones for one of your white stone, and then you’ll have twice as many stones here as I’ve got.’ ‘If that’s your way of doing business,’ said jumoke to Susan, ‘I’ll give you fourteen of my red stones for a white stone, and then you’ll have three times as many stones as I.’ ‘Well, I’ll go better than that,’ said Amina to Jumoke; ‘I’ll give you four green stones for a white stone, and then you’ll have six times as many animals as I’ve got here.’ No doubt this was a very primitive way of bartering stones, but it is an interesting little puzzle to discover just how many stones Susan, Amina and Jumoke must have taken to the jewelry store.
PLEASE DROP ANSWERS ON THE THREAD AS THE FIRST IS TO GET THE CASH PRIZE OF #5000 Getting equations from the expressions: Let Susan's numbers of stones rep. S, Amina's number of stones rep. A, and Jumoke's number of stones J Eqn 1: 2(S - 6 + 1) = A + 6 - 1 Eqn 2: 3(J - 14 + 1) = S + 14 - 1 Eqn 3: 6(A - 4 + 1) = J + 4 - 1 Solving these individually, the eqns become; Eqn 1: 2S - A = 15, Eqn 2: 3J - S = 52, and Eqn 3: 6A - J = 21 Now solving together; we have; A = 7, S = 11 and J = 21. Therefore, Amina must have taken 7 stones to jewelry store, Susan must have taken 11, and Jumoke must have taken 21. There were thus 39 stones altogether. |

Education › Re: “I Am In The Bus” Or “I Am On The Bus”: Which Is Correct? by dejt4u(m): 6:24am On Apr 08, 2019 |
chukwunedum150: The phrase 'on the bus' is quite standard and normal. It is much more commonly used than 'in the bus'. The use of 'on' does NOT imply that the person is on the roof. Basically, if the speaker is taking a long trip by bus, that person is said to be 'on the bus' during the entire trip. When a person is boarding a bus, we'd typically say the person is getting 'on' a bus. (And at the end of the trip, it would also be quite normal to say that person is getting 'off' the bus.) The use of 'in the bus' is not completely wrong, but it would be limited to special situations in which it is essential to convey the idea of 'inside' or 'within' explicitly. Basically, we use 'on' when referring to general location when using certain means of transportation. For example: - He's on a bus/plane/train/ boat/motorcycle. BUT: - He's in a car/taxi. copy n paste without references |

FIRST PUZZLE:
ABA can either be 575 or 525
If ABA is 575, then, A = 5, B = 7, C = 2 and D = 8.
Eg 575 + 575 + 575 + 575 + 575 = 2875
Also, if ABA is 525, then, A = 5, B = 2, C = 2 and D = 6.
i.e 525 + 525 + 525 + 525 + 525 = 262
SECOND
MUX is exactly 721
That is; M = 7, U = 2, X = 1 and Y = 4.
i.e 721 + 721 = 1442
I copied dejt4u lol.. I spent hours on that puzzle |

Malayyyyy: a+b+c+d+e=169, a+b=98, b+c=90, c+d=50, d+e=33, what are a,b,c,d,e? Let's express b, c, d and e in term of a.. 1st eqn; a+b+c+d+e=169, 2nd eqn; a+b = 98; therefore, b = 98 - a ...........** 3rd eqn; b+c = 90, therefore, c = 90 - b but, b = 98 - a, !(from 2nd eqn) then, c = 90 - (98 - a) c = a - 8 ............*** 4th eqn; c+d = 50, d = 50 - c, but c = a - 8, !(from 3rd eqn) therefore, d = 50 - (a - , d = 58 - a ...........**** 5th eqn, d + e = 33, e = 33 - d but d = 58 - a, ! (from 4th eqn) therefore, e = 33 - (58 - a) e = a - 25 .............***** Now, slot in the values of a, b, c, d, e as in **, ***, ****, ***** in 1st eqn; a+b+c+d+e=169, a + (98 - a) + (a - + (58 - a) + (a - 25) = 169, a + 98 - a + a - 8 + 58 - a + a - 25 = 169, a + 123 = 169, a = 169 - 123, a = 46 then, b = 98 - a = 98 - 46, b = 52 c = a - 8 = 46 - 8, c = 38 d = 58 - a = 58 - 46, d = 12 e = a - 25 = 46 - 25, e = 21 so, a = 46, b = 52, c = 38, d = 12, e = 21 |

Amazingriddles: Most of you are getting the answer but I will not reveal the answer until someone got it and explained his/her answers This is the direction of float of the liquid.. From tank A to B to C to J (it can't go to D because pipe leading to it is blocked). Then from J to L (it can't easily get to pipe I because the liquid will need a high pressure to move up against gravity). While it is struggling to gather enough pressure, the water level in tank J will be rising and the liquid will easily go through to tank L, then straight to F (since pipe leading to H is blocked). Therefore, tank F will be filled first |

nelsonoba: Well, if you have any practical suggestions, you can forward it and I will see how feasible it will be to implement. I have tried on my own to figure out the loopholes some people were using to view questions before they are released and I have tried to block all the ones I discovered. If I am able to discover any other means people may be using to see questions before release, I will still block it. But this is a case where nobody is physically watching people as they are taking the quiz, so you can't really tell what people are doing or not doing without some form of evidence. let me suggest something.. for next week, display all the 23questions once. let all test-takers supply the answers directly to your email, you may give a time frame to that. Mark and score the responses accordingly. those with highest points and submit early should be declare winners. honestly, something is seriously wrong with that platform you are currently using. |
