butanep: dig down deep on those investigated, you will find out there are some personal beef before now directly or indirectly.
Have u personally digged down deep on those investigated for u to have come to this conclusion or u are just blabbing?
Good we are in democracy, everything must pass-through the court of law, so if there are no concrete evidence on any allegation(s),it will be ruled out and declared nul and void.
Now u are talking.
If anyone is found guilty, be it members of his political party or not should be made to face the consequences. There should be no room for sentiment.
The General has re-emphasized this several times and those currently being investigated cut across all political parties so what exactly is ur point again? |

engineerboat: Here it is again for your comsumption.
“When cabinet ministers are appointed in September, it will be some months after I took the oath of office. It is worth noting that Obama himself did not have his full cabinet in place for several months after first taking office; the United States did not cease to function in the interim” President Buhari said..
Please read again and summarize what is going on here for me. If not comparison. Ignoramus, what the General said is on point. again nothing up there suggests that he was comparing NOMINATIONS of US president to his (as stated by u) instead he was making reference to when Obama had the pleasure of having his FULL cabinet ready to rock and roll with him. He went further to say that despite not having them, governance in those departments did not seize. |

The two are totally different no reason or basis for comparison at all. Who is us? u are the ignorant one here no doubt. Baba never mentioned Nominations, did he? |
Politics › Re: Buhari's Article: Buhari Was Right (2) by dekdek: 9:08am On Jul 23, 2015 |
engineerboat: How point is. Before PMB can compare his nomination to Obama, then He must make his key Cambinet members nomination like Obama. Period, then comparison can work, aside that its a false comparison There lies ur problem.........................Not once did Baba compare nominations. Ur foundation is faulty. |

You people are not helping Baba at all. Thats ur pathetic opinion. Doing the same useless thing all over again and expect a different result is the most silliest thing to expect. Baba has given his reasons, and excellent ones for that matter and governance hasnt for once seized so i honestly dont get ur point |

engineerboat: Haaaaaaaahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha, you will not stop to amaze me.
Obama nomination started months before his inauguration, sent for senate approval before his inauguration, majority of the cabinet were approved by January 20 2009. http://www.senate.gov/reference/Obama_cabinet.htm
How does majority equal FULL as stated by the General? The point here is u guys are trying to disprove what Buhari said and that is simply not flying. Its a fact that the FULL Cabinet wasnt just in place as stated by the General. Second link is inconsequential report since the first link has more validity (website of the US Senate itself)
Back to Baba Nomination (Zero), SENT for Senate Approval (ZERO). then why comparing the two together, there is no basis for comparison Man.
The conditions and requirements for both countries are different but the end points is the same which is............... For months after each of the Presidents Inauguration, Both President dont/wont have the pleasure of having their full Cabinet. That is what Buhari stated. It happended for Obama and will surely happened for Buhari so whats ur point again please? |
Politics › Re: Buhari's Article: Buhari Was Right (2) by dekdek: 9:04am On Jul 23, 2015 |

Because He is making us to believe that He is taking a principle from Obama mode of nomination and appointment The conditions and requirements for both countries are different but the end points is the same which is............... How does majority equal FULL as stated by the General? The point here is u guys are trying to disprove what Guhari said and that is simply not flying. engineerboat: since you are concern about the word full, Obama had about 85% cabinet at Immedeattely after inauguration. Which include Secretary of State,
Now to Baba, where is our Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF), Chief of Staff to the president, Minister of defence (We are in war with BH), e.t.c to start with, This is not the point and this has no bearing to what the General said. Already he has given his reasons why he is yet to appoint them and it makes perfect sense.
..... insisting that Nigeria must put new rules of conduct and good governance in place before making key appointments......

But Obama had His major cabinet members are constituted January 2009.
Barack Obama's Cabinet, as of January 2009, is proposed to comprise:
Hillary Rodham Clinton, Secretary of State; Timothy F. Geithner, Secretary of the Department of the Treasury; Robert M. Gates, Secretary of the Department of Defense Eric H. Holder, Jr., Attorney General, Department of Justice Ken L. Salazar, Secretary of the Department of the Interior Tom J. Vilsack, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Yet to be nominated, Secretary of the Department of Commerce Hilda L. Solis, Secretary of the Department of Labor Tom A. Daschle, Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services Shaun Donovan, Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development Ray H. LaHood, Secretary of the Department of Transportation Steven Chu, Secretary of the Department of Energy Arne Duncan, Secretary of the Department of Education Eric K. Shinseki, Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs Janet Napolitano, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security
http://www.senate.gov/reference/Obama_cabinet.htm
Did you get that The colored is the key word from Buharis speech. Check ur link very well, there are several columns. He may have nominated early his co workers but they were never confirmed early. Infact before confirmation, hearings av to be done by the American Senate which happended far after when Obama nominated. They didnt start work till the senate completed her task. That is the main point of the General. Obama didnt have his full cabinet ready for several months. Buhari is right on point. |

musiwax: I take an exception to your choice of words, if you have a dissenting claim back it up with proper riposte which should be devoid of insults.
Now to your claim
From the onset, the discussion was on the correctness of the Buhari article which wasn't about Nominations, but rather about having a full cabinet. You asserted that he lied when he didn't, you should as a matter of honour apologise for this.
If you set out to tackle Buhari's statement based on his assertions that Obama had a full Cabinet in place, and then change in the middle of the discussion to a new position on nominees, then that's insincere on your part.
Stay on topic or start a new thread on your new position after you have apologised for you wrong accusations that Buhari lied. This makes perfect sense. Protection seeker, see ur life....... |
