It may not be popular on the social media but it's a common practice in Igbo land and Ikwere land, the usually say "the girl is seeing the woman's wetness". They can engage in sexual activities, the girl in question can also have sexual relations with other men and have children, but the children belongs to the older woman and they will bear her (the older woman's) family name.

This is it; the woman had a misunderstanding with the said pastor sometime in the past. The pastor was caught with cocaine, he needed a fall guy (lady) quickly he connived with NDLEA, she was picked up tortured/bullied until she accepts (believe me security agents will tell you "just accept you did it and we will let you go"wink now she's being accused of planting cocaine. How can a broke woman in kano have access to cocaine and planted it in the pastor's house, she was not caught in the act but later arrested and she accepts. Now the pastor is forming "touch not my anointed". The Nigerian legal system can BULLY the Poor for Africa.

Years back, while growing up in kaduna, I had Igbo friends, so naturally I had interest in their dialect but anytime I ask them what they meant by what they said, they kept quiet or worse stood up and left, summary, secrecy!!! They felt it was detrimental for other people to learn their dialect, and it's clannish. Fast forward today we have hausa and yoruba languages widespread all over the country because people spoke freely, nothing to hide about these languages. Today another form of secrecy being practiced. These people from this parts of the country will always cover their peoples' crimes and faults, they believe their kinsmen must not be seen in bad light so they make a hurricane and whirlwind over other people issues and cover theirs. In time to come, regions like the north would have been flogged with the cane of correction from these brothers of hate and they would get their societies right while the righteous ones who's people can not do wrong will keep their vices and continue to cover them in their well perfected secrecy.

You would have seen famous hate filled online dragons spewing fire from the hell pit of their laptops, seems nobody remembers she's a minor anymore, I see people congratulating her, no one is calling for the man's arrest, no petitions to the state police commissioner talk more of the inspector general, nor traditional ruler involved, no pastors nor human rights groups seeking justice. For as long as we carry out selective justice, the country can not make a headway. In as much as I totally agree that leadership is a problem in this country, followership is worse. Nigerians are hypocrites, hate objectivity, bias, hateful......One of the characters of Arrow of god (chinua achebe) captain winterbottom noted that Africans will rather lie even if the truth will be in their favor.

Politics / Re: Gov Dickson Goofed, Bayelsans/ijaws Are Not Lazy by deliveryboy: 11:00pm On May 18, 2016
I really admire your efforts to refurbish the dented image of the Ijaw nation, it's only natural for a true son of the soil to stand up to the defence of his people at time like this, I can imagine how you might be feeling like someone walking in murky mud and each step taken seems heavy. It is but the obvious reality that a vast majority of Nigerians (and non Nigerians) believe the Ijaw people have a grudge or two against regular paying or entrepreneurship or any task that would disturb their state of peace. The usual suspects, oil companies, federal government, outsiders. In view of these, I'would like to point out few of my observations as far as a resident of the Niger Delta region in concerned. You pointed out oil pollution as one of the banes of productive agriculture is concerned, that is valid, what is equally valid is the fact that a vast portion of the land and waters are still untouched, unpolluted (virgin land as Ikwere people would prefer to refer), these lands can be put to use without any recourse to oil or affluent damages to crops, livestock or aquatic life. Secondly, the oil industry and the technologies employed are advanced ones, There are several hundreds of exploration, exploitation, completion campaigns where there is not a single drop of crude oil spillage on the land or the water ways. The culprits are the ill equipped oil bunkers who subscribe to crude methods to puncture high pressure lines in order to siphon the contents of the pipes sometimes losing their lives due to explosions and subsequent spillages (of course they abandon the pipes and their own dead victims at such situations). Also, if one takes a helicopter flight over the niger delta, it is not uncommon to see illegal oil refineries (example of which Ben Murray Bruce seeks to legalize) dotting the natural vegetation, these ones operate in the most rudimentary nature devoid of any attempts to control release of huge amount of oil into the water bodies that snakes the niger delta. Truth be told the average niger delta person is mentally lazy to forge an idea to make a meaningful living, it is so difficult to establish anything in this region without being devoured by so many termites each demanding their share of the contract, taxi fair. To buy a percel of land, you have to pay bush entry, matching ground, drinking money, elders money, community development levy, you association money. They sell land running into several millions of naira to buy new cloths, drink expensive wines, buy new cars, have new girlfriends (married women are not spared). There are several channels through which the government have tried to uplift the region, such as 13% derivation fund, NDDC, OMPADEC, but these channels are viewed as means to enrich themselves and finances their grand lifestyles. The problem in the niger delta is the view to life, everyone feels entitled to receive from someone even when he/she has done nothing, the girls feel entitled to get cash from men, they hardly say thank you because they feel it's their right to have it. The men are worse. Their is not a region in this country that have had it on a platter of gold, but people go out of their home states to educate themselves and struggle for a living but you can hardly find an Ijaw man outside his state schooling or struggling to make a living, they all depend on the allocations from the federal government.

The crusaders never invaded any non christian country with the purpose of converting them to christianity. I challenge you to name a single country that was invaded for that purpose. The crusaders were primarily a defensive army whose primary objective was to defend European territories against attack from satanic jihadists. The only case of offensive military campaign carried out by the crusaders was when they went to capture and take over Jerusalem.

You are just a crying and marginally informed, hateful, closed system, not willing to learn dude with little knowledge about anything else except what you consider Christian. Read the Holy Bible with a liberated mind and you will see that the Bible contain stories of crusaders taking over territories, Someone said it's the most violent book ever written, stop the blatant revision of history just to massage your dwindling faith in Christianity.

Gaddafithe2nd:

Thanks for sharing those pictures. I wanted to reply that mumu that said Lagos as no oil. Agbami is the most popular of all the oil field in Lagos. Even in Epe, Chevron has their facilities in Igboye community in Epe. Many of my colleagues from Lagos back then in school, got Agbami scholarships.

Agbami oil field is not in Lagos waters, it's under Bayelsa, the logistics, helicopter operations, drilling and completions teams are in Lagos but the field is in Bayelsa waters. The OML was issued to Star Deep Water Petroleum (rumored owned by Mrs Folorunsho Alakija) in partnership with Chevron Nigeria Limited. People still wonder why the operations of Abgami field is being coordinated from Lagos, because helicopter flights takes about 2 hour, 30 minutes from Lagos to the field, while it cannot be more than 30 minutes from Port Harcourt. We have the Agbami FPSO, the Pacific Bora and Pacific Khamsin drill ships adjacent to one another. Lastly, your colleagues could have gotten Agbami scholarships, we also got Shell, total and chevron scholarships back then in ABU zaria (more awardees than most schools) and there's no drop of oil in Kaduna state.

ABIA

Oil and Gas Exploration

There are over 100 oil wells and 3 installed flow stations in Abia State. There is also an associated gas plant, Abia/NNPC gas plant.[8] As of 2012, boundary Commission said it returned 42 oil wells from neighbouring Rivers State to Abia.[8] This would have meant Abia being fourth largest oil producing state in the county.[8] Oil giant, Shell, holds most of the licenses for the wells in the State and has concentrated on the estimated 50 wells that are considered high-yield. [7]The State produced 36,000 barrels of crude oil per day; "Imoturu produces 23,000 barrels per day and Isimili flow station produces over 8,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Then four oil wells in Izaku go to Obigo flow station. About 30 oil wells from my village go to Umuri and about eight oil wells from Umurie go to Afam", lamented Samuel Okezie Nwogu, Chairman of Abia State Oil Producing Development Area Commission, ASOPADEC.However, the State has complained of poor funding from its oil revenue federal allocation.

I do not totally agree with you, it is true Abia state has oil reserves, Asa, Ukwa East L.G.A. what is more certain is that the reserves are marginal and does not attract huge investment to carry out the cost intensive development of the fields (detailed exploration, drilling, lithological and fluid evaluation, well completion and production). It is also true that (SPDC) shell, holds the oil mining license, OML on these reserves, they have sold most of their mining rights to marginal (smaller) operators because the fields are not profitable (shell cannot sell an elephant field to anyone). If these fields are so profitable like you have described, there would have been intensive investment in these non existence fields. I am not aware of any Rivers state oil well ceded to Abia state. Please stop misleading the public and stop giving your people false hope.

The question is are you intellectually prepared for the demands of a Ph.D program? You are seeing things from the Nigerian point of view where most thing are rigid and are presumed not to come easy. I suggest you accept the offer.
