It’s works in some cases, they quickly claim rape and self defense and everyone believes the woman (mostly men) and start advocating for her. Yes people are naturally more sympathetic towards women and everyone wants to see her set free, but this isn’t the case in this case. Great judgement, this would serve as deterrent for many who believe self defense is now an excuse for taking the life of someone else (men).
