This people will finally kill our naira completely.

Why not just find permanent solution to the exchange rate to improve our purchasing power.

Salary increment is never a solution.

Does this people read economy at all?
oga Nigeria exchange rate is not improving anything soon. Either is the economy getting better.

So if this is the only way poor masses/civil servant can get something out of this people let it be.
They want to increase the salary of politicians. People collecting millions and they want to increase their salary so that they can collect more millions, while you don't want the salary of those collecting thousands for there salaries to be increased.

Funnily, the opposition supporters who want to use hardship as an excuse why president Tinubu should be replaced are not even going through the same hardship as they are all doing fine. Only those who are supporting this government have been going through a lot

They are indirectly confirming to us that this government policies have been favouring them meaning it's working
helinues I really want to discuss somethings with you but i dont want it to look like begging for money.

I would have send a email but this email is my old email and I can't remember the name and password.

For me the board has tried the transfer window. Man utd has been going down for years now, so it will take more than this transfer window to rebuild this club.

We just need at least one midfielder then we are good to go

United fan want us to buy players like man city, Chelsea, arsenal and Liverpool...... But they don't know that these clubs qualify for champions League. These clubs finished way ahead of us and they want us sign players like these clubs are signing players.

We are even lucky that top players want to come to us.

We are linked with Atalanta Ederson and Wharton but nothing concrete yet. I think it depends on Casemiro staying or leaving.

Maino/ Bruno then Ugarte/ New player if Casemiro leaves. I expect Collyer to take Eriksen minutes this season if he stays. They were also reports Amorim plans on using Cunha deeper.
ok....

It still depend on the coach. With mbuemo, cunha and other signing, i think man u will have a good team but with amorim, am really convince.

Man u had a bad squad this passed season but that doesn't not justify the position amorim put us.
Am really not convinced about him

Maino needs to step up in that role. I see no reason why Ugarte( Despite his limitations he's a still brilliant ball winner with high energy) and Maino/Bruno can't work. With Mbuemo and Cunha coming in , Maino only position to get game time is in that role.
am not writing mainoo off, but that guy has really disappointed me. Ugarte for me is good defensive but offensively he is found wanting.

Let get another defensive midfielder or promote some of the academy. Maybe kone

Last season we were 10th in terms of goals conceded. Not good but not that bad either. In terms of goal scored, we placed 16th with 44 goals.

Our problem is goals. We don’t score enough of them. We need more attackers and more players who can finish chances and outperform their xG
we concede cheap goals last season. What am saying is that there are some goals we conceded last that shouldn't have been conceded. Cheap goals that could have been avoided. Am not too certain on ugarte. Erickson is going. So whom fo we have, mainoo, bruno. We should get good defensive and attacking midfielder since the front is a little bit ok now with cunha and mbuemo

Mbeumo plus Cunha is a step in the right direction. They’re not at the twilight of their career and still have something to offer. We just need a few additions in other positions, especially in the striking department. With or without Amorim, that would be a good squad.

Like I’ve said multiple times before, our recruitment is improving. We just need to build on it with more quality players and sensible transfers.

INEOS still on serious watch though.
yeah our recruitment has really improved since ineos took over.

I want us to really enforce more on midfield especially the defensive midfield. That is where we are seriously lacking. We conceded lots of goals this past season so it shouldn't happen again

nairalanda1:
So long as 80% of revenue comes from oil money, we are going to keep borrowing

This year, funding for the budget was based on oil remaining at at least 75 dollars per barrel. Since January,it has been below that. It is 60 dollars per barrel now

That leaves us with a funding shortfall which can only be filled by loans.

We can reduce the loan dependency short term by rasing the tax revenue or long term by basing our economy on industrial growth and innovation and exporting manufactured goods and services
so how is he reducing the loan dependency with all the same borrowing.

Now that he removed subsidy, how much is borrowing. How much is he lavishing.

I adk helinues what did tinubu used the money he got from subsidy remover. He said he increased the money given to governors. Has that brought about necessary development in Nigeria.

How much increase have the states been receiving as monthly oyel money?

Let's start from there
so you are the subsidy money is given to the governor as there monthly allocation. And you think that os a wise to do.

What about money gain from taxes and igr. You are justifying that all the billions from subsidy and taxes and igr are giving to the governor while the government goes ahead to borrow to build road.
Nigeria is really developing

How much in total has this government borrowed? How much debt in total have they serviced?
read very well. What have you done with the money from the gains from subsidy.

At least for two years, a serious government would have recovered lot of money. So where is the money.
PoliticsFor Those Who Are Defending The Government For Borrowing by delkuf(op): 11:01am On Jun 02, 2025
There are some people still defending this government for $24 billion dollar even after what bubari did. Telling us lies to defend the money they borrowed then.

My only question if people like helinues ans co can answer me is, what happened to the money recoved from the removal of subsidy. At least they where giving us figures then of the amount they have recoved. So where is the money.
Is the not enough to develop nigeria. And if it is not enough, what did they use the money for

I don’t know where you are getting your stats from but it is not from this past season.

We conceded 54 goals which was 10th in the league and only 14 goals more than Liverpool.

On the other hand we scored 44 goals which was 16th in the league and 42 goals less than Liverpool.
is just my own personal view.
I am of the believe that we should get good defensive and attacking midfielder. We can do without a striker of manager hoijund

A team without a striker won the champion’s league. Did you consider the other things that were in place for that to be able to do what they did.

Like having 2 of the best attacking fullbacks in football.
Having 3 technicians in midfield that maintain position and play at different tempos depending on the situation.

Or having 2 world class wingers and 2 additional potential world class talent wingers.
that is what am saying.
Our priority should be our midfield. We conceded lots of goal this past season. If we buy good defensive and offensive midfielder, we can do well next sea

Our stock exchange has never had it so good in recent years. If people don't trust the economy would they invest in it? These are the kind of things that helps a country's future. Not the lies we lived under the PDP and buhari. These policies are good. Everything will balance out but we need to start somewhere.
where is the money. Why is dollar still high. If the stock exchange of a country is doing well that country exchange rate will do well.

But in Nigeria because of propaganda, we have a stock exchange getting low and the exchange rate increasing.
I dont know how they got such indix.

Which one of them is not a greedy oaf? Is it Atiku that stole Nigeria blind as VP or obi whose people were raining curses on him when he was governor?

That should tell you they're all the same. But removing the subsidy and stopping naira support are the right policies right now to put Nigeria on track. In the last two years the economy has grown though slowly and investors are coming back. Check the stock exchange data. Food inflation and general inflation are coming down. Unless you want to deceive yourself, then you will accept the fact that the political class will not cut its own emoluments. They don't.
which stock exchange.

They are converting the sales of petrol in other countries at the rate of Nigeria naira. That is wicked.

If we want to go about it like that, why dont calculate it how much ghana are buying petrol at the rate of cedis.

Naira to dollar is 1600 and ghana cedis to odllar is less than 10 cedis, wjo is paying more

I believe it is our midfield we really need to enforce especially the defensive midfield. For me i believe we are ok with cunha.

Get lots of cover for the defense so that we don't let in goals like this season that just ended.

A team without a striker just won the champions League. Am not really fuss about getting a striker.
We should get a good defensive midfielder abd attacking midfielder.
