Exactly. I made this mistake this year. I did a contract that got me an amount of money i have never had all my life. Oboy.... i only bought one car, one land and tried to do business with the rest. As i speak to you today my account has only 3k. The car has been parked for over one month now because i can't afford the fuel for trivial journeys. So if not that i am married, that japa was quite a safer decision because at least i would get a good job in canada with my electrical skills. Today to see single customer for even 160k solar generator na war. If it was easy and i had assurance of moving with my family today, i would sell the car, the land and even borrow funds to add to japa. This country no true true get hope no be curse
baba, I am married with two kids. If I have that 6m, I won't think twice before I japa. Nigeria don cast. Last year I borrow 2million from a bank and invested it in a business. Today that business has crumble. Am struggle to cater for my family because am still paying the loan from my salary. But God gave me another opportunity recently. I have been laughing reading some the posts here especially wodu. Guy if you raise enough money set up a small business for your wife, then japa. After two to three years, come back and take your family

1. First deal with the negative scenarios in your head and have it decluttered. After decluttering your mind and head from the trauma of past failure, you'll have the clarity you need to take the right path !

2. Create a business plan r hire an expert to create one for you that outlines the risks and the pros so you can see the possible pitfalls with great clarity before setting out. From xraying your ideas in crystal clear from, you can identify the level of risk you can tolerate and the level of risk you musn't exceed.

3. Have a spreadsheet developed. A spreadsheet should indicate your daily inflow and outflows of finances. Doing this will help you track flow of funds so when you're over-doing any aspect of the business, your attention can be triggered to turn, slow down or to stop
thanks man. What you wrote is really helpful

Have you learnt why you failed last time and now know not to make the mistakes you made then?

If not don't take the loan unless you would suffer no consequences if you don't pay it back.
yeah I did learn somethings. First the business I invested in was wrong. I didn't know much about it before investing in it. Secondly, I am thinking of doing two types of business. Is just the fear of last year that is affecting me.
Business / I Collected A Loan And I Failed. Should I Still Collect Another Loan by delkuf(m): 12:58pm On Aug 19, 2023
Am a salary earner. Waiting till the end of the month before you get any meanful money is something I don't like. So have been graving business for some time now. Last year I collected a loan of 950000 and invested it in a business. But the business failed. And for many months now to things has not been good. To the extend, that feeding my family is a big issue.

Recently, God gave me another opportunity and am planning of collecting another loan of over a million naira for business. But due to past failures, am getting scared. Should I go ahead and collect this loan. With my salary I can't achieve much. Pls matured minds advice.

It's because unlike you they know that by Law the minimum wage is due for review in January 2024.....reason they are asking government for wage award for the remaining months of 2023.

Stop crying.....get informed
if you read what I said you will know that I know about what you said. I said tinubu will be the most wicked president if he wait till next year before he implement the minimum wage. So don't talk anyhow

You might choose to think otherwise but it's the hard truth, so bear the pain and pray for the best, while also demand for the best where necessary.
Again I wish this country burn. I wish the price of dollar continue to increase to over 1000 naira, so that Nigerian will feel more pain, so that they will start revolting and protesting. By then, the country will be uncomfortable for tinubu and all his cabals.

Don't forget, the provision for subsidy ended in June. It wasn't until the end of the year. We are still living the budget signed by senators we elected in the last 4 years.
I'm not happy about this, but then if we Must get it right, we need to do things right
so the right thing is to wait till next year before implementation. We are so wicked in this part of the world. You removed subsidy and the price of petrol increase with over 300 naira. And the price of everything tripled. But we would wait till next year before you do something for your citizen. I wish this country burn before then

Fixing the refineries won't have caused a reduction in price by much. (Some say N70).

The refineries still have to be maintained, and repaired and kept in good working order, and they still have to pay workers at competitive rates. Guess what, we still have to import components for the refineries from abroad, then they have to pay taxes, and pay for community projects.

And all that costs money.

Fuel isn't cheap. Niger, Ghana refine fuel from domestic crude, and fuel costs above N800 in both countries.

but they said dangote refinery will start refining fuel. Why has it not start working. didn't tinubu know that dangote refinery wsant working before he removed subsidy. He must have known but the citizen are the one to be use as sacrifice
