application received now, since on the 4th

It's strange. I have a similar situation, but mine is IW. The status was "Application received" for 7weeks but the "case updated" date changed 3 times during the period. Then last week, it suddenly changed to "No status" which made me suspect they needed me to show for an interview, in which case they would send my passport back to me. But my passport has still not been released. Called them and they confirmed that my passport is still with the consulate/embassy, and said they would initiate an escalation to find out why the "No status". Still waiting for feedback.

Sent an email, no response.

Tried calling, they said they don’t discuss visa issues in the phone .

What is the status of the application? The heading? It usually goes from "No Status" to "Application received" to "Approved", then "Issued:

I had my interview on the 4th and it was approved.
But until now I haven’t gotten my passport back and no update from the embassy till.

What can I do?

That's strange. You should try tracking on the ceac website. https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

I applied for my visa at 28weeks pregnant (after waiting for a date for a long time, and later qualifying for the 48month IW) I'm currently 35 weeks, and am yet to hear anything from the embassy. Tracked my application and it just says "Application Received" still, after 7 weeks!!! All calls and messages are just given the same generic responses, and are never any help. My mum applied same day as me and got hers 3weeks later. She applied for a tourist visa, and I applied for Medical B2. Been to DHL office, and they say the passport is still with the consulate/embassy. Is any one in the same situation, or does anyone have any suggestion to help me move the process along? Thank you! I will definitely give updates on this thread, as you guys have been so helpful.

Hi people. I would appreciate any response on this. Update: Status changed to "No status" on the CEAC website on the 18th of January, but my passport is still being held till date. No helpful response from the visa helpdesk. Just wondering if anyone else ever experienced something similar.

It simply means your visa was not approved. You will need to eventually schedule a regular interview with the embassy.

You will need to track your passport; I presumed your passport will have been at the DHL office for pick up.

Please I need to understand what it means for my visa status to go from"Application Received" to "No status" on the ceac tracking website after 8 weeks. I applied for a B1/B2 Visa using IW option since 1st December 2022, and I haven't received my visa till date. I'm so confused. Has anyone else experienced this? Any clarification will be much appreciated.

Not sure but mine took 19 working days, including the days I went to VFS to submit and to pick up. (I didn't count weekends and public holidays.)

Hi Everyone, and thanks for this thread, it has helped a whole lot! Just to drop my application story in case it helps someone. I applied with my husband on the 30th of July 2022, and applied for my parents on the 11th of September, 2022. Nothing has changed about our application till date, but my parents got a PPR today 17th January 2023. There's obviously no method to the application process apart from just to apply and wait your turn, whenever that would be. Also a quick question, how long has it taken you guys to get your passports back after submitting, cuz they have a US trip scheduled soon, and we need to be sure they'll have their passports back before then. Fingers crossed, all the best to everyone!

Please search through your emails for the mail you received when you created the profile. You should find the profile name. I don't think creating a new profile would work. All the best

Thank you for the responses.I have tried tracking and it keeps telling me invalid reference number,then I sent a mail with just my passport no and got a reply that Mo status update for the passport number.If I can’t make it this week then I will cancel the plans to travel.So sad!

I'm so sorry. That's really strange cuz it's meant to show you something as long as your passport is with them. Confirm you're using the correct code to track, it should be your DS-160 Confirmation number. Also you could try going to your designated DHL office to find out if it's been delivered. You could also try calling them on +23412278955, follow the prompt and make sure they connect you to an agent. All the best!

I intend having my baby in Texas and am 38weeks gone,can I still make it if I get my passport by next week?

Oh dear. Same thing is happening to me, currently 33weeks gone and I applied on the 1st of December. Tracked it and it still says "application received", but the "case updated" date keeps changing every 3days. Really confusing. You can track your application via this link

If under review, did you successfully get the suspense mail?
Was it for commercial or Technical or both?

Because I think nonetheless, you would have been called....It does not matter the longevity of the timing.....

Hey. Thanks for this .By "successfully applied" I mean I got the "suspense mail" .A couple of people have two applications under review so I don't think applying for the new one necessarily counts for a withdrawal of d former. I applied for the commercial role.

Ermm. I successfully applied for this in 2014 and it was under review for over a year. I got a regret mail for the 2014 application barely 24hours after applying successfully for the 2015 recruitment and I had a couple of new embellishments added to my CV. Anyone with a similar story?

Please for those who applied for Commercial role and have done the decision-making task part of the assessment, what is the decision-making task like. Are they technical questions? Someone just told me he saw a question having to do with a reservoir engineer stuff, is this same for commercials also?

It's same question for everyone. It doesn't actually have anything to do with d technical stuff. The scenario is just painted to test how u would make a decision

Same email. I applied last year October so it's over 12months ago

I just got a regret mail after a whole year for last year's application. It had been on "application under review" since I completed it and I remember I finished all d tests and got the suspense mail .This year's application is still under review. Good to know they have started working on our application.
