Miyachi:Do you also understand this is Money Laundering, no matter how it is explained. Are you aware the money was not posted to any bank account. I hope you are aware only $10,000 deposit is allowed into a domiciliary account per day. Also cash transactions not even up to 1/10th of this magnitude is not allowed worldwide. |
Good development! Politicians should register parties not using ethnic-based socio-cultural groups to do politics, collecting contracts mostly unexecuted and also fanning embers of discord when the govt in power is not favourably disposed to them. For instance, when did Yorubas, ibos, hausas meet and choose Afenifere, Ohaneze, Arewa as their apex group and the leadership; most if not all are self-imposed and egocentric people that can't even win their residential association's election but claiming leaders! |

frankyychiji:He would have mentioned that you know, and EFCC won't be pursuing him alone as other staffer(s) will be witness(es) and log-book entry will be made appropriately: he went alone reason he didn't deposit all the money in FBN (but also gave some, actually a large percentage of the money to another bank's ED on same Marina). The transaction was completely under the table and personal - money laundering. |
RuudVanNisteroy:Reading this raises a lot of red-flags and story reeks of Nollywood to say the least! This is a serious indictment on First Bank and Malami. a) how can a bank ED be talking like a novice (even baba Alajo Somolu won't collect such amount from anyone in cash)! A friend/customer called you to pick up $25m CASH and you did! Are banking transactions/deposit done outside the banking halls? Did the customer fill a deposit slip? Which bank account was the money lodged and posted into,? A bank ED didn't know that is money laundering? he didn't even fear from his life and loved ones! What if some people were aware, planned to hijack the money from you killing you in the process! Suffice to say, Dauda Lawal rose through the ranks in banking and FBN by collecting cash deposits! b) to think Malami and the Panel would allow this testimony/petition be granted audience is alarming! A case still in court, with this it has confirmed the case has ended since AGF believes this cock-and-bull narrative of a story! Anywyz, wetin I sabi. |

Unfortunately, almost all the gains and milestones achieved by Madam Dora and her NAFDAC team were eroded by successors. Those 'our brothers' are still importing fake, substandard products - drugs, spares etc, with connivance by unscrupulous Customs officials. |
This is so sad! Like I tell everyone, every Nigerian (and resident) is a living corpse (in varying categories)! Did I hear, God forbids! ![]() - a category is the poor that can't afford medical bills (go to LUTH/LASUTH for instance, a strong iron gate at the entrance of Accident & Emergency Ward to ensure new patients don't gain access due to dearth of bed-space and doctors). - another category is those that can afford the medical bills but the system has been designed to frustrate and ensure they don't get it when they need it (i.e police report must be sighted by hospital to treat gunshot victim, no ambulance to quickly stabilise and move sick person to hospital etc) everything will conspire against an A&E victim even when loved ones are around to pay 'any amount'. The system collapsed since but Nigerians will pray for God to forbid it. Accidents will always happen but only timely response ensures a life is saved. Ever wondered why the Lagos generalissimo's (governor emeritus) convoy has a standard ambulance in it! But can that ambulance safe all his family? ![]() |
Is this a new style of wooing a lady .Make them marry since both of them never marry nau . |
When will FG direct FIRS to desist from the rent stamp duty. The courier services does not need fee increment to encourage SMEs. Meanwhile it will be a big problem later as people's items will be destroyed, pilfered and operator will abscond so regulatory oversight is necessary. |
Very sad situation. A rare gem is gone. However, why is the trio being paraded, shouldn't it be only the driver that should face prosecution for manslaughter or any offense; or is it a crime to be in a car . |
I hope he was paying them whilst in his employ. He will employ new set close to election period . |
Honorable member(s), it's okay, it's okay....

The last management matter still in EFCC and court. Present management going the same way. Next management will too. Every facet/sector is bedeviled with corruption. Let's just change the country's name to C.........n. |
Citizens income dwindling and majority owing rent or FIRS not aware. |
Dipz:Naija used Kia Rio 2006/2007. |
Samconcepts:Corolla 09/10 more fuel economical and less maintenance cost than Camry spider (assuming all things equal). |
The definition of corruption is different in Nigeria: when it involves my friend & I chop inside, it is Connection; if and when I don't know the perpetrators, then it's Corruption. You do not need to be a soothsayer to know they are also involved. It cuts across the length and breadth of our nation. The NASS and Akpabio are doing: if you taka me, I dabo you. Don't forget we were all taught this by our folks and elders: do not talk while eating. |
Politics and shenanigans. Make the election come and go abeg. |
Everything in Nigeria gone to the dogs!

legionISproteus: 100%. I went to Sallaum with some policemen and the expat terminal manager instructed his guys to show us footage. They just kept coming up with different excuse stories and didn't show us anytime! From log-on password incorrect to the IT guy no come that day, at a point the computer went off o! Nothing achieved and the policemen concluded the Sallaum staffers are not only involved but main perpetrators. |
calculusx:The point is that arrangement will fail some day. I actually paid for my Lexus RX 350 but it was still vandalized up to N1m - key fob, power control, woofer, side mirror, catalyst, engine cover, back light name it! Except the agent didn't pay and only took my money .The agent claimed it was vandalized before the vessel was discharged, he was saying in Cotonou or so, that even 3vehicles went missing in the vessel (I didn't believe him thou). |
Readonee35L:It is impossible with Sallaum (at least for now); only Grimaldi. Even ordinary key is stolen at Sallaum (I mean Hyundai Elantra key without remote o). Catalyst is craziest, they use grinding machine right inside the terminal, sea side and vicinity of the Port. |
eherbal:Nice thought, but very difficult/impossible in reality. Which particular part(s) is vital: for instance, all Lexus from 2006 use keyless remote control. If the key is removed, the vehicle automatically becomes a forklift unit (which is additional $500 fee) and also prone to more damage. The items to be removed might also be damaged in the process. Sending the items to Nigeria will also incur some costs too. In all, that process is cumbersome and could be counter-productive. We haven't even factored in the new directive that forklift vehicles are not to be accepted henceforth. Best Solution is for the relevant authorities to do their job. The silence of Port authority, FCCPC -Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, ANCLA is not golden! Sallaum and Grimaldi are just taking advantage of the lackadaisical and incompetent regulators in Nigeria. They see Nigeria as a country of anything goes! Attached is the only correspondence I got from FCCPC since November 2019 over the vandalism of my 2012 rx350.
