Really pathetic what our institutions are becoming under a democratically elected govt. The Intel security DSS that was noted for discreet investigation just some months back (Edo gov PA's killers apprehension as against the NPF shoddy job comes to mind) has suddenly become a shadow of itself and inept to the extent of bungling intel operations of such political magnitude after self-confessed 2-weeks surveillance, is very worrisome. DSS operatives used to be faceless but not anymore. DSS is fast going the way of EFCC that was castrated by the last govt (mainly because of Ibori by Andoakaa) and never got its balls back to date, albeit its effort. Sad we keep moving in circles; doing same things & wanting different results! We need to build institutions and not people. Ms. Ogar has become more popular than DSS and the DG, DSS combined in reeling out (unimaginable) info to Nigerians. One police officer Abba and another policeman Mbu comes to mind as well. History is been recorded in 3HD. |
As usual, empty promises, moving the goal-post and dishing out lies when nobody ask them! Before "we will declare emergency in power when elected" then it was moved to 6,000MW in Dec. 2012 and failed. Lowered their goal to 5,000MW in 2013 and still couldn't meet this by year-end 2013 and now it is January 2015. Pls why January? Is it because of February elections?? 16yrs of democracy. Brazil with a population of 192m people produces over 120,000 megawatts of power; while South Africa, with a population of about 50m generates over 40,000MW of power. Ghana with 25m people generates 2,500MW. Self-appointed giant of Africa- Nigeria with over 170m people generates around 4,000MW and you say you are giant and biggest economy in Africa. Mtshewwwwwwwww. |
Blame all of them including you & I that prefer to watch soccer than be bothered about getting things right in our society. The Nations Cup will almost coincide with the 2015 elections; let us focus on the election & enthronement of credible leaders in all tiers of govt. My humble take is that Nigeria is not destined to be at the tourney (as we have exceeded our good luck charm) Between, can anyone tell us how much was paid the Congolese players ![]() , u get what I mean ![]() |
SR has exposed alot of rots in our system, PDP, APC and other parties. SR published reports against OBJ, Yar'adua & GEJ's federal govt and also Tinubu, Fashola, other state governors, senators & reps. Me think, they are quite independently-runned. SR were a consistent voice that exposed the illness and cabalism of Yar'adua's govt by a few against GEJ and fought stoutly for GEJ's gain. They reported PEJ's illness even when the govt handlers denied until madam confirmed it herself!!! Our successive govt have made them "our only reliable source of news inside Aso Rock & 36 state govt houses across the nation" by dishing out lies to us when a simple truth could have sufficed hence they should live with it. |
Where is the justice in this case, like virtually other cases in Nigerian courts. Looking at the case number, one can deduce that the suit began 2013 (stand to be corrected); meaning the man's car would still be in custody of the FRSC gathering dust (and even damaged!); imagine if he has to pay legal fees to a lawyer (luckily he is one). Govt (frsc) will still appeal then what... The celebrated case of LASTMA is still in court. If only cases could be expeditiously treated (and obeyed; another topic entirely) then we can talk of celebrating. I know of cases in court for 30yrs & more. This is, sadly, a pyrrhic victory. |
Kindly send quotes for Toyota Solara 1999 & Avalon 2008 remote keys. Tanxxx Deleteluwo@yahoo.com |
The car is probably assembled (or manufactured) in South Africa from the VIN number series. Hence you can't access the vin history like some European cars. You need to use your personal and mechanic's judgement to access the car. |
Sadiq Oil owner, (ex-)pal of former VP Atiku Abubakar and 2007 AC guber aspirant in Delta State. Sadiq Oil were initial buyers of AP during the OBJ privatization era after Jimoh Ibrahim in the usual abracadabra; before Femi Otedola bigger abracadabra again |
0merta:I beg to differ. Obanikoro was a willing tool not because of his portfolio line of duty. You can't imagine a person of Gusua character dabbling in illegality. A case in point is former minister Ama Pepple who was removed because she refused to play politics of thuggery like Wike to fight Ameachi though she was not nominated by Ameachi unlike Wike who was "punished" with a ministerial nomination to reduce his influence. Bolaji Abdullahi, Obada and Mrs Rufai were removed for the same reason of not fighting their respective opposition governor and/or massaging madam PEJ's ego. Point is that only a thug can be sent a thuggery job. |
Minister of and Minister for State are both political appointees of the President, Party and coalitions, if any. The anomaly was a creation of the Nigerian constitution which xpressly states every state must have a ministerial slot (promotion of federal character); but trust our politicians, they even upped the ante by often times appointing two ministers from a state adding the formula of another slot to every geopolitical zone. Most large states have always been beneficiaries of these largesse e.g Rivers, Kano, Lagos, Oyo, Anambra with Wike and Ama Pepple from Rivers, Adesina and Ashiru from Ogun etc. Up until when Labaran Maku (formerly state info during Yaradua's tenure) was alleged to have bitterly complained during a Federal Executive Council meeting about Madam Dora sidelining her in the ministry, no rift (or open rift) was ever mentioned between ministers in the same ministry. The President had to share portfolio between them that Maku was given charge of all parastatals in the ministry like NTA, FRCN et al. We would recall that the minister of finance between 1999-2003 was Adamu Ciroma, who was reportedly on the sickbed for most part of the administration while Jubril Martins Kuye (state finance) popularly known to be in charge without hiccups. Also, one could be forced to ask what role is Obanikoro's position in the defence ministry that he is always in the news when we never get to hear about Gusau (defence minister) except for when he reportedly resigned the appointment. The difference and seniority between minister and state minister is neither here nor there; its just an avenue to create jobs for the boys, apologies girls too. Every ministry is adequately manned by civil servants that really do the job not political appointees that mess-up the system most. |

Praise be to God no harm got to you. So sorry for the setback & hoping the vehicle is recovered soon. Comprehensive insurance is the way not tracking thing o; tracking won't repair an accidented vehicle plus third party damages. Tracking can mal-function and damage a vehicle self, esp with incompetent overnight technician in Naija. I refused my insurer installing trackers on my cars! Just get comprehensive insurance from a reputable insurance company (preferably via a broker better self). Going rate is around 3.5% to 5% of value. Say for this muscle of average #2m, you pay 70k to 100k for 12months cover. |
I strongly believe all Mobil stations are manned by fraudulent personnels. Mobil Gbagada & Oregun off Awolowo, comes to mind. I've been scammed at both stations. I try as much as possible to buy from only 2-3 stations now, esp Oando after Ogudu b4 Alapere turning, not minding the queue. |
