uunwanaobong3: With all amount of seriousness and disappointment, I wish guardiola is not given a new contract until the end of the season IF he wins the premier league and/or champions league...... I feel that guardiola has become complacent at the job and he is taking everything for granted such that the whole team becomes............. If he is tired of coaching mancity, he should please resigned for others who are prepared to... It is totally unforgivable and insanely criminal for a transfer window to come this far without mancity signing any key players who will make a difference......... First of all Ake and ferran Torres are squard players who have no ability now to defend their position in mancity....... Torres is under age and inconsistent while Ake is an unproven average player who carried his team to relegation . In the last 2 years mancity best players are retiring or getting old and yet no replacement for them...... Only Yaya Toure was ably replaced by debryune who was bought by Pellegrini. Other players such as Company, Silva, aguero, Fernandinho, sane, have not been replaced........ Infact guardiola signings since he came to mancity has been extremely poor.... Almost all the key players at mancity now (Sterling, debryune, Fernandinho, aguero,) were either sign by Mancini or Pellegrini..... The only good guardiola sign are bernado Silva, Laporte, aEderson and maybe walker for over 400 million ....... In a million years, this team as it is cannot win champions league and guardiola knows this but he is proving stubborn. ..... Up till now mancity does not have a left back and a proven striker to help Aguero, the central defence is a mess. Every year city has fallen behind Liverpool. Liverpool problem last season was a supporting striker and a creative midfielder and they got them both, making Liverpool the strongest team in the world right now. It is so annoying still seeing people like stone, otamendi, Mendy, cancelo, zichenko, Ake, Jesus, and gundogan still playing for mancity, how can you win champions league with this people? If mancity finished third on the table this season with this same squard then guardiola is really working magic. In terms of finances and global vision of city group, Liverpool should be too small to be competing with mancity for quality players BUT guardiola stubbornness has open door for everyone to start competing with city..,...even ordinary Lyon dey shake city. Guardiola is a good coach with an all conquering tactics and philosophy BUT he is the worst buyer in the world. Maybe you think this is FIFA 20 or football manager, whichever it is, you can't be more wrong. First, City has a director of football- Txiki Begiristain who handles all buying and selling of players. So credit him for the purchases. Second, Ake is a backup for Laporte and he fit right in. Last season, Laporte was mostly injured, now he just recovered from Covid 19, so you expected him to play immediately? Ake was solid. Sane wasn't a world class player when Txiki got him from Schalke. Same way Ferran isn't a world class player. Instead of allowing him grow, you are complaining. City has been falling behind Liverpool every year? . In the past 5 seasons, only once has Liverpool finished ahead of City and that was last season, so falling behind every year how? Seeing people like "stone, otamendi, Mendy, cancelo, zichenko, Ake, Jesus, and gundogan" barring And, these players were the centurions. 100 points in a season, never been done, yet you castigate them? I get you want to win all the time, but picking on these players like they have never achieved anything, haba. Agreed, we should move them, but they can only move if their contract ends or someone is interested in buying them, so.... Guardiola is stubborn no doubt and I see him as the architect of his own defeats, but saying he can't win with this team is a disrespect. Let him stop tinkering too much with tactics and go with what works. That's not too hard to do |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Man City Showed "Blatant Disregard" To UEFA But Didn't Break FFP Rules - CAS by delvinmayan: 1:03am On Jul 30, 2020 |
Mtola8: You only read to reply!! Barcelona needs to offload one of there top players(coutinho/dembele) in other to buy another top player, Chelsea haven't being on signing spree in a long time cause they need to sell before or after buying. They are only able to sign big this time cause of the hazard sale, morata and other fringe players. Also cause of the transfer ban. I know all about FFP, teams like Roma has being affected badly. Seeing the penalty for breaching the rule is a fine, most clubs will breach it and happily get fined.
Arsenal were also unable to renew the contract of Ramsey cause of wage bill Bros, calm down. Your assertion is wrong. Clubs made over £500 million profit last season and UEFA points to FFP as being the catalyst. One thing you don't understand is how accounting for clubs work. It's evident in what you have said here. Any club can get any player they want provided they have the funds. Herein lies the problem, on their books, they amortize the player's fee, depending on how much they spent to sign the player. Essentially they spread the .Oney over the amount of years the player signs the contract they offer him. Meaning they can beat FFP, question is where they get the money from as FFP dictates that buying a player, you must pay the full amount. So such clubs go into debt, borrowing such money. Which brings me to the Barcelona issue, they do not need to sell to fund new players. They have actually spent a lot and are looking to taking an 800 million Euro loan. Selling Coutinho, they won't get more than 50 million and as it is, his contract years is winding down, so how do they recoup to spend big again. Same goes for Dembele. Which is why I mentioned the deal of them selling Arthur and buying Pjanic. Cooking their books. And they probably won't be fined for it cos it's not against FFP. On Chelsea not going on a spending spree, you are dead wrong. But I am not going to argue with you. About Ramsey, every club has its wage bill and PL rules only allow a certain amount of increment in it. Arsenal can afford to give him whatever wages he wanted but was he worth it? Ozil is a perfect example of giving huge wages to players in Arsenal. Now to FFP being just a fine, you are also dead wrong. City was punished in 2014 if I recall with a fine and a reduced matchday squad, Galatasaray were banned for a season in 2016, Trabzonspor were also banned. Any club willing to test FFP can go ahead, but know that City proved they were innocent |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Man City Showed "Blatant Disregard" To UEFA But Didn't Break FFP Rules - CAS by delvinmayan: 2:27pm On Jul 29, 2020 |
Mtola8: It ain't it bro, so many clubs arent happy cause they have being restricted and have always considered FFP even at the detriment of the clubs growth.
Some clubs have to sell their best players to balance the book while others have to sign cheaper players, some clubs couldn't get their preferred player cause they feel getting him will mean they have breached FFP.
So many clubs(Roma, Sevilla, Dortmund, even Barcelona needs to sell presently before buying) will start breaking the rule and at such will only be fined!! They will prefer being fined than losing their best players or targeted player. You are quite wrong. FFP is all about spending what you earn. Most clubs spend regardless and incur debt which is what FFP really should be about. To understand better, you need to understand amortization. Most clubs you mentioned have been affected by Covid 19, not FFP. The deal Barcelona did with Juventus regarding the exchange of Arthur and Pjanic should tell you all you need to know as well. |

fredylee: Man City have not been transparent. Certainly, they could never have used only revenue obtainable from the club's direct earnings over this short period of time to buy and sustain the players they have, and generally run their affairs.
Sponsorship has sure been overstated over time. We wait and see how the final verdict turns out. You are wrong. Sponsorship by Etihad was found to be reasonable. UEFA however said it's a "related" party, insinuating that Mansour has interest in Etihad and also from the "hacked" emails, they claimed Mansour was paying for the sponsorship himself and only using Etihad as a conduit. The appeal will address this |

Anyway, Juventus also dropped to the second division around 2005. City won't be the first team to face the kind of punishment. Juve was punished for fixing matches. Two different issues entirely |
Sports › Re: UEFA Ban: Court of Arbitration for Sports registers Manchester City's appeal by delvinmayan: 5:24pm On Feb 26, 2020 |
Confirmedzombie: As a senior lawyer, Man city cant win the Appeal. Man city erred by law under schedule 6 of the financial fair play laws of the UEFA. The Appeal lacks merit. Who dash you lawyer? You do realize this issue was first broached and Man City fined in 2014, with a statue of limitations of 5 years. This is 6 years after, and that's just one aspect of this case. There are other points City will use to open UEFA yansh |
