Where was this OP when Mr President was the Deputy and then Governor of Bayelsa state as duly elected

The man did a very good job and PDP picked him to be Vice President and the story continues from there.

Don't know how true but I just read on twitter that there is an ongoing impeachment plot against the Speaker by the 7 PDP members of the 26-man Ekiti house of assembly.

All political gladiators in Nigeria know this power struggle is brewing in Ekiti State starting from the infamous Ekiti 11 and the failed judicial coup that was packaged before the inauguration of Governor Fayose

Thank goodness you asked my opinion on this as my former comment never approve disapprove any illegality by Fayose.

As it stands now, I view this report as a gossip column for the fact that the Governor is still consulting the stakeholders which I believe this includes some State Legislature, legal advisers and power brokers.

My submission is that the opposition HOAS should be flexible and cooperative for the betterment of Ekiti State.

It is unfortunate that the same rejected Elites and power hawkers that were rejected at the poll want to make the State ungovernable for the peoples Governor.

We knew from inception that the vocal minority won't accept defeat without a fight. This is a bitter experience.

By the way, the house have the right to reject names they feel inappropriate. That won't stop fayose to bring in better names. The house is also working for good of ekiti and not fayose alone.

Reading through the article, Gov. Fayose submitted a list to them that was refused and their (House Leadership) use of the court as usual to legitimise their democratic coup and minority rule.

Secondly, the LGAs and LCDAs Administrators weren't elected hence has no mandate other than being political appendages to the Governor.

The decision of the Governor to sack them wasn't out of place and moreover, the issue of financing the LCDAs from LGAs' federal allocation is not constitutional.

I see no difference if compared with Gov. Rochas Okorocha's sack of 27 "elected" Chairmen in Imo State and replacing them with caretakers notwithstanding the Court process. The State wasn't made ungovernable by the power cabals.

It is worthy of note that the sacked Imo LGA Chairmen were PDP and the majority in Imo House of Assembly is also PDP but the fact that former PDP Governor was rejected at the polls made the HOAS to give the Governor a breathing space to manoeuvre and do the job he was elected to do.

All I see in this Ekiti State debacle is an attempt to disrupt the Executive by the opposition majority in HOAS and their minority supporters who are majority Elites in the academia and the judiciary.

When APC lawmakers think they are gods then they shuold be ready to be thrown out by the people. Fayose ride on because Amaechi has not sworn in any Chief Judge in Rivers for months now and Apc don't see it bad about that.
