Who doesn't know that civil service in Nigeria is overbloated with unproductive people? Every governor that comes in use the civil service to compensate his friends and community, rocketing their salaries. That's why recurrent budgets are triple of capital budgets...which is absolutely abnormal for a developing country.

They come to work every morning, gisiting and selling things in their office. You see bunch of newpapers and they just talk about politics, sports, etc. Some of them come to work any day they want. Some just fill the attendance register and rush to their side hustle. At the end of the month, they want to be paid salaries. Salaries for doing what exactly?

Besides, el-Rufai has always complained that many teachers in Kaduna can't even spell their names correctly. Now, you ask yourself: What exactly have they been teaching pupils and students?

I continue to say that Nigeria needs sweeping reforms. We cannot continue to do stupid things and expect positive results. When it comes to the country or government, we prioritize sentiments. But when it comes to our personal businesses, we put competence first. And someone is still worried that the country isn't making any progress.

What El-rufai is doing is over due and I call on all governors to adopt the same. Hire only those you can pay and let go the rest to go and farm. Lazy fuccking hopeless goats lazying around offices all over. From Borno to sokoto to Oyo to bayelsa. Fools will just come register their names and leave for their homes to go drink palmie in south or burukutu in north and expect to be paid at end of month including pension when they retire.
NLC should do their worse. El- rufai sincerity not in doubt. What his predecessors wouldn't do in Abuja, he came in and did it despite all opposition and today Abuja is better for it. Many do not know that he has the smallest number of commissioners.
Naturally, we Nigerians are tough, stubborn and wicked to ourself. A leader like El-rufai is required who will take tough decisions and not sentimental ones.

Who is this Amaechit please? Is he not the same Lootimi Amaechi that was alleged to have sold off Rivers gas turbine for 320 billion naira and used part of the money to fund Buhari's election in 2015 and pocketed the rest ?

Has he refunded the money or gone to jail for that.

Yet the fool called Wike who has all the so called details and who has all the powers in the world to prosecute Amaechi on these alleged crimes and promised to do so for over 5yrs now has chosen not to act on it. This is the crux of the matter. Delta state official position till date is no money is missing. Not only is this their current position but was also their line of argument in courts both here in Nigeria and UK all an effort to set ibori free. The Nigerian court agreed but UK court did not. Is Falana aware of this detail?
Let even assume those governors in charge then were mad, but till date Okowa has not said otherwise.
So which money should be given to Delta when they clearly stated no money is missing?
Besides, their us a condition for repatriation. If not met, it won't happen. Falana should go and sit down or better still sue FG.

The impunity of SARS was thus a challenge that the youth have responded positively and courageously to and has triggered the commencement of the fundamental reform of the country’s policing system. But then, the protesters must admit that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration has acted with commendable dispatch by not only scrapping SARS but also accepting the five-point demand that triggered the protests. This shows a laudable sensitivity to the grievances of the youths. It is only fair that government must be given the chance to implement the reforms demanded by the protesters. This can certainly not be done instantaneously by the waving of a magic wand. If government had not implemented promised reforms in the past, the swiftness with which it has responded to the demands of the protesters this time around shows that that there is a positive change by government both of attitude and of a new sense of urgency.
