Fool, go back to the beginning of this thread and see doctors giving explanations on these. These are basically tools to aid their work and nothing more. The final decision is still theirs to make because they have been trained to be so.
Just like the engineering family, their are tools and softares that aids an engineer in performing his work but those tools though having done a good job simply cant take the place of the engineer. He still does the thinking and interpretation and makes the final decision.

When drs go on strike, the pts are managed by other health workers depending on the type of illness pending when drs resume, but if other health workers go on strike: that same day all the pts will be discharged.

Goon, the doctors have been sacked, go to public hospitals and and show me which of them have patients been managed by ur so called consultant nurses and pharmacists and radiographers? the bulk of the patients have left because the core person that ought to be in the hospital isnt there. here in PH, we have some hospitals that are even completely empty so what thrash are u talking about.
The reason why some patients are discharged when u johesu folks go on strike isnt because the doctors arent capable of attending to the patient till he or she is cured but because u fools lock up everything and takes the keys away. jamhen: @ Demdem, u meant reduced not multiplied as the doctors will work but be less efficient. It is however true that the hospital still functions in the face of JOHESU's strike even though skeletally but nothing at all happens in the hospital during the Doctor's strike.

Again, a patient primarily goes to the hospital to see first and foremost a doctor before any other professional.
