My confidence in the Nigerian Military is diminishing by the day. Bama fell just within five hours on Monday despite having a military barrack there.
Am afraid but have to accept the fact that our military doesn't have what it takes to defend maidugiri.
Can u imagine, we are talking about defending when we are supposed to be talking about chasing these killers.
Jonaadaft is a failure.

barcanista: Okrika is a Kingdom, Ijaw is a Tribe. Ijaw has MANY KINGDOMS, Kalabari, Brass, Andoni etc.
I am NOT the one that said Ikwerre is not Igbo, The Ikwerres themselves INSIST that they are distinct from Igbos. Now if you have problem with attachment it is your phucking business.
Link between Okrika and Ijaw? hahahaahaha Let me assume that you speak out of Ignorance. FYI, Okrika Kingdom is a Kingdom under IJAW tribe, its a Eastern Ijaw Clan along with Ibani (Bonny, Finima and Opobo), Kalabari and Nkoro. This is because we reside in the east of NIGER DELTA.

Thanks for tutoring the goon.

Seriously am not in support of this. October would have been ok.
Ebola is still on the streets of PH and tan members have helped in importing them to their various states.
Govt would have waited for 21 days after tan meeting in Ph before making such declarations.

The difference between the two accusations are -
Buhari's accusation is a personal experience which affected his family
While GEJ'S accusation was started by Sahara reporters!
I'm not holding briefs for GEJ so I have no obligation to defend him here! That can be done by the PDP guys!

PoliticsRe: Bama! Who Is In Charge? Army, The Media Or Boko Haram by Demdem(m): 12:13pm On Sep 05, 2014
MightyThor: This is a refreshing change from your pre-nairaland crash of using insults. kudos.
As per Bama i believe the fight is ongoing and yes i believe that the insurgents did take over maybe initially.
My reason are.
1. Given the huge media coverage of the episode the military would have promptly refuted claims especially those made by the senator, to restore civilian confidence in the military and save face. (or the military is play possum to lure the bandits into a false sense of security)
2. There was a report of an air-force jet bombing the barracks to prevent the insurgents taking the armory, that indicates that the barracks was overrun or about to be overrun. (bomb it was a good tactical maneuver by the way, b4 those boko guys get more hardware which i believe may have been part of their overall operational goal.)
3. Maiduguri is still filled with refugees who refuse to go back to Bama and gave a horrid account of the proceedings and the picture they painted was not pretty for the army.

However i believe the army will take over those locations back cos i don't think the bandits can hold these town for long. they will surly retreat if heavily attacked else they are wiped off completely. beside they will need to establish a visible resupply route to bama to be able to hold those points and the organizational, logistics and funding required will be huge and apparent for a competent special army unit or SSS to trace and discover their source.

In otherwords u agree that the govt has been economical with the truth so far? I also believe that the fight for bama is ongoing but just that evil boko is inside Bama while the military is outside bombing the town.

My only disagreement with u is ur take as regards ur doubts about them being able to hold on.
Don't underestimate these terrorists. There have been reports of kidnap of young men and small children. As they are fighting, it's obvious that they are also recruiting and swoaring in number. The longer this continues, the stronger they become, that is the bitter truth. The evil boko of last year is not what we are fighting today. They seems to be far better and organised than before and our military allowed this to happen right under their nose in a state that has been under emergency.
As days goes by, likewise my confidence in the Nigerian Military dwindles unfortunately .
By the way, demdem never initiates insults, he only respond in kind.
PoliticsRe: Bama! Who Is In Charge? Army, The Media Or Boko Haram by Demdem(m): 12:02pm On Sep 05, 2014
uzokingn: my brother I agree with u . they would ve shown the world their videos . To me the media is giving them cheap publicity. thank God the rate of bombing in our country have reduced.

Don't be deceived, from past evil incidences, evil boko videos have been coming late far after their heinous crimes.
For instance, it took weeks after. Nyanya bombings that evil boko video came out as regards the bombing.
Also, it took weeks after the chibok kidnap before evil boko came out to claim they av the girls.
This incident is still fresh, less than a week. From precedence, it's too early to see evil boko video as regards Bama.

texaco1: yes they will protect maiduguri and I am sure boko haram can't take over maiduguri . The bama issue is a big embarrassment to the military and I know they will want to do everything to make sure bh doesn't pass that line .

Unfortunately, Its a pity I don't share this optimism of urs. Bama has a solid military formation. Where were they when evil boko showed up?
Evil boko took Gwoza, and when we were trying to absorb this, those killers overrun Bama in less than 5 hours on Monday in a state that has been under emergency for so long. Bama is just some kilometres to maiduguri.
I love my country but on this issue, my fear is maiduguri is gone. I pray am proven wrong though.

tokunboh: The simple truth is Tinubu owns The Nation and you know he who pays the piper, calls the tune.

So since u claim Tinubu owns it, does it also mean that the daily can't state the truth as it is also? If u don't think so, what can u say about Thisday, vanguard, sun etc govt aligned papers?

The Bama battle is an intermittent one, Boko Haram is not in control of the town as Senator Zannah, Babangida's right hand man would want us believe.

The only intermittent battle is the aerial bombardment and nothing more. Zannah, IBB (jonaadaft father) are in pdp. Infact bringing IBB to this discuss is inconsequential. The senator surely has more men on ground being a senator from the place.

The journalists with Senator Zannah can make their way to Bama on their own to see the true picture of things instead of them reporting trash from the comfort of their sofa.

No journalists is with the senator instead govt have her own journalists who have so far refused to investigate.
The only trash is from the govt that claimed is currently in control and can't showcase these towns on nta.

The NA that is on ground in Bama has given us the real picture of things saying they are still in the process of making sure that no Boko Haram is lurking around Bama and its outskirts. The onus of proof lies on Boko Haram's mouthpiece - I mean Sahara Reporters, Punch, The Nation, BBC and the numerous Boko Haram sympathizers on Nairaland.

Have u wondered why the press releases from na as regards their being in charge of Bama is either from maiduguri or abuja itself. The NA claim they are in charge and yet 5 days and counting they have not deemed it fit to invite journalists to the safe towns where they are in charge?
None of these ones needs to prove anything but the govt who have been known to lie several times to substantiate their claims of victory in Bama. This they haven't done and can't do for now because they truly aren't in control like they claimed.
PoliticsRe: Bama! Who Is In Charge? Army, The Media Or Boko Haram by Demdem(m): 10:47am On Sep 05, 2014
As at last night since Monday, evil boko unfortunately. was in charge even though the Nigerian military is fighting tooth and nail to recover it.
If the govt was in charge, surely her journalists would Av showcased such on nta like they did in time past. Since Monday, no show despite claims and counter claims.
PoliticsRe: Breaking: Boko Haram Holds Bama As Military Pounds Town With Massive Airstrike by Demdem(m): 10:41am On Sep 05, 2014
tokunboh: Boko Haram never took control of Bama as The Nation would want us to believe. The battle of Bama is an ongoing war. Just wondering why they are not reporting on Gwoza where the insurgents are being chased away en masse. I don't expect a Tinubu owned tabloid to report on the Bama siege in a way that will paint the Government and Nigerian Army in good light. Shame on them, Boko Haram members are being killed in their thousands in the outskirts of Bama and Gwoza.

Stop this tinubu thrash talk and let's face reality as co citizens of this country.
This Bama issue has been pending since Monday wirh claims and counter claims. The govt I know will go all out to showcase the town to everyone on nta if they are in charge of Bama. This haven't been done since Monday.
The senator whose constituents lives there ( a pdp senator- can't remember his name now) was on BBC and demanded to be proven wrong by the military as at last night.
Am not excited about this news. Why should I? However it will be wrong for us not to state the truth as it is.
As at last night, evil boko remains in Bama amidst bombardment from the military from outside Bama. That is the truth.
Let the govt prove the senator wrong by sending her journalists to Bama with Nigerian soldiers walking freely and socialising with the citizens.
PoliticsRe: Breaking: Boko Haram Holds Bama As Military Pounds Town With Massive Airstrike by Demdem(m): 10:24am On Sep 05, 2014
[b]The truth is as at last night evil boko was in charge of Bama. The senator representing borno central confirmed it last night on BBC.
He also confirmed that the military is currently fighting towards recapturing the town. He challenged anyone including the military to prove him wrong by showcasing the town to everyone on TV.

It's foolish for those that think stating the truth as it is makes one an evil boko sympathizer. The truth needs to be told so that we will be able to understand our problem real good. If evil boko can overrun the town of Bama where a military formation exist in less than 5 hrs on Monday with the military still battling to recover it days after, I have my doubts that that the military can protect maiduguri. Gwoza is also there already in evil bokos hands.

It brings to question the competence of our beloved military. Where are all the billions allocated to it over the years going to?

Evil boko must be crushed but demdem doesnt believe it can be achieved under the leadership of the current c in c.

Rawani: If Dr. Davis was not working for the presidency as claimed, why did Ali Modu Sherriff in his statement yesterday criticise him for revealing his findings on TV instead of submitting it to the President? What about the military aircraft alleged to have been given to him by Jonathan? Under the past administration, who mandated and led him to the militants? Can Asari Dokubo claim to not know Dr. Stephen Davies?

The Freedom we enjoy today is because of the tolerance level of the present Administration at Federal level.

The Governors, Council Chairpersons, Politicians and other highly placed individuals are just enduring the criticisms because the No 1 citizen accepts them as part of democratic rights of the governed though some people are abusing the very sense of the right.
