gbemisolaw:I don't know any college at the moment that offers PGD in chemical engineering but I know some colleges that offer Advanced Diploma in Chemical engineering tech. look at Mohawk College (Chemical Engineering Tech, Advance diploma Program) and Lambton College (Chemical Production & Power Engineering Technology ) |
gbemisolaw:It is possible to further your education in a Canadian University but the only thing I know you can do first is to apply to a university in Canada to upgrade because you cant really do much with a third class. Now getting admission to upgrade is not an easy task as well because there is always competition for limited spots and admission is not guaranteed. The other option you have is to look at doing an advanced diploma program or a pgd at a Canadian college because some colleges accept third class. |
New immigration rules to be in effect from January 2015. Now I dunno if this rule is gonna have any direct effect on study permits but I know it affects it indirectly and positively too i.e. for those that are hoping to get the permanent resident under the Canadian Experience Class. Good luck to every one waiting patiently for their study permits to be approved. I pray you all get it.. cheers |
Mcmaster is a recognized institution by CIC but it is a very expensive school. It costs about $98,000 for international students to study medicine in that school. BaaleofMontreal: I can't really say for McMaster university,if its one of the designated institution recognized by cic, then you're good to go but the school might also give you same reply as Concordia. I can only advice you to go for pgd first then proceed to masters, it will be very hard to get a masters with the CGPA you have. |
ChriGo: ....Lolzzz....Nice!!....Keep enjoying bro...will holla anytime i show for HamiltonYou should come tomorrow. I have a big house party tomorrow night. I sent out an I.V and i think it has gone viral. I just hope the cops wont shut it down. |
ChriGo: .....Sorry about that my man...shiit happens....no mind dem boys jor...Wear 30 neck chains....na ur life ojare...dem boys dey sell gala for Lambton??...thats a funny jokeWork is good bro. I graduated in April and I just got employed by my school *windecking*...lol. |
DFodio: Note that if you are using a Nigerian Mastercard on any ATM machine in Canny. The canny bank will charge you 2 dollars while the bank back home also collect theirs. GT collects about 420 naira. I use Stanbic IBTC and I was also charged 420 naira. Though there is a a particular bank that won't charge the 2 dollars. Try TD Canada ATM. Only the 420 will be charged and you are good to go.Even TD charges as well. Just because they don't state it on the machine that you're gonna be charged for the transaction doesn't mean you're not being charged for it. The best ATM to use are the ones from a convenience store because they only charge $1.25. It is better you use such ATM if you're making a withdrawal less than $400. If you're withdrawing up to $900 then TD or any other bank is fine |
ChriGo: ....Hahahaha!!!....Demoah my man....wetin Lambton boys do you ngwanu...gist me biko....You dey Sarnia?....Chrigo, howdy? I'm not in Sarnia ooo. Some Lambton boys messed up after the last time I visited. There was a particular guy that was insulting my friend for not buying his books. Another started selling the gala sausage that a fresh student brought from Nigeria. They where talking trash about me after I left that I'm too proud because I had two neck chains on. I can keep going on and on. No disrespect to you Chrigo but some guys in your school are just full of crap. That aside, how was your summer? ![]() |
misturchris: well i dont know where you got your info but i have no idea what you are talking about. I am barely 3weeks old in sarnia and i am speaking based on what i have seen.Oh nice. You wont understand what I'm saying. The so called god fathers there would understand. Just watch who you relate with. |
misturchris: Hello nairalanders, those coming to lambton should act fast because houses are going faster than i can type this message. and classes start next week. good to be back here and cannyis a beautiful place. more TRVs for all......I hope the Lambton boys who behave like god fathers have dropped their dirty attitudes. I just hope you guys wont make life difficult for the new students that are coming in this fall. |
Lonewolf001: ok tanx i'll check them out. ar u studying dere alreadyI think you should forget Mcmaster for now. I wonder why you wanna go there anyways because it is one of the most expensive schools in Canada. I would suggest you look at university of Windsor, Brock university, University of Waterloo and University of Newbrunswick. |
wild child: lolz...is that a yes or no bruv?Well it all depends on if all the factors responsible for getting the admission and visa have been met. |
wild child: Thanks man,i appreciate....Invariably,he cant travel to Canada for masters next year if he finishes by April?God willing |
wild child: Thanks bro...whats the normal processing time for a student visa? and what im really trying to say is all things being equal now that the ASUU strike is gonna be called off next week,he should graduate by April. Now the question is when can he start applying for a graduate program that will start by Sept/Oct?If it is a PGD at a college and he wants to start by Sept(fall semester), he can apply for the program immediately he graduates in April provided he has all the requirements needed for the program within his reach. If it is for a graduate program like a masters degree at a university, he can equally start his application but he cant resume in Sept of the same year. You need more time for application into a masters degree program |
Fhemmmy: But i have heard that they are the best bank in Nigeria . . .Best bank? I hear people say that too. Its just the exchange rate that makes me sick. Imagine making a transaction of about 7k CAD with the GTB mastercard. Some naira will be lost to their exchange rate |
Fhemmmy: If you are so sure about this, why not bring it up with GT Bank?Well I have complained in the past about their exchange rates all to no avail. |
ChriGo: ......God bless you demoah for that……Na only u be the padi wey I fit believe for here jare......u be sure guyyou're welcome. But GTB no nice atimes oooo. Their exchange rate is usually higher than the normal exchange rate. The exchange rate as at the time i did this transaction was 149 per dollar but gtb used 156 per dollar. |
ChriGo: ....for real?...just collected my GTB card now and on the letter attached with it I saw N1000 deduction charges for every ATM transactions made outside Nigeria ....hmmm!!!....all of una just dey play person like footballGuaranty Trust Bank eLectronic Notification Service (GeNS) We wish to inform you that a Debit transaction occurred on your account with us. ChriGo: ....Have you witnessed any deportee so far on dis refund issue?.....No i haven't but it almost happened to my friend. He completed a year PGD program in International business mgt and he decided to enroll for another Program in a bid to make it 2yrs altogether. He paid for the new program and he was expecting the school to cut him some slack in the courses he would be taking. The school refused, he got a better offer at Niagara college and decided to collect his money from my school so as to pay Niagara. He got into a heated argument with the office and the office thought he just got into Canada and was trying to pull a fast one on them and the staff that was attending to him said "Then we would have to call Canadian Immigration before we can think about refunding your tuition" and was already picking up the phone. That was when he explained to them that he had already completed the program that brought him to Canada and the tuition he was demanding was for the second program. They still didn't give the cash to him, they asked for his new school and transfered the money to Niagara College. |
ChriGo: .....Mehn!!! dis na Yawa sha....so no show for jaye jaye boy like Tonyrero....am sure dats his plan....Thanks for that piece bro.....i wonder why Naija boys over dia dey spoil tins 4 we wey dey cum.....God bless NigeriaNa so i see am ooo. I was shocked when my school admission officer told me. That is why the embassy has introduced more strict rules now. God bless Nigeria |
ChriGo: .....deport gini?....schools have refund policies ....and one of it is if u gain admission to other school u can get a refund of ur fees or ur tuition will be transferred to the other school's account .....@Nasdaq is right. Trust me they will gladly deport you. Yes schools have refund policy but some Nigerians have abused the policy. They get here, demand their money and claim they wanna go to another school only for them to start living large with the money and not attend any school. If you truly have another school, I will advice this guy to get the admission letter, present the letter to his former school and request they transfer his tuition to the new school. Be warned! your school will never give you your tuition once you get to CA. they can only transfer it to your new school of choice. If you try to act funny, they will call immigration and its the last time you will see Canada. |
NasdaQ: Yeah buddy! my hommie, how da goin? i see u here nowI see you bro. We hooking up pretty soon. Get ready for some Jamu house P. |
kclexa: Please Guys tell me this is a huge joke. How can you pay so much for services that you can handle yourself. |
Omila007: How? where ? when?check it online |
Omila007: Basically this people need to know your sponsor has steady income and the persons projected annual income.I guess so. I had nothing in the account when i applied. I just submitted a paper with figures but the account had been emptied. Although i had paid a year tuition before i applied. |
Omila007: I thought as much.149 |
Siga: …. Koda bros…. I have someone that came into this country for Welding Tech… and was granted visa with less than N2m …. I couldn't believe when the guy told me….until he flew in…these CDHC people get den own mind…its just nice to play safe sha….I have my story too but i dont want to mislead people in this forum by sharing it. Visa app is just God |
Siga: …I read it well bro… just letting u know there was never a standard of 3million…. never…okay |
Omila007: Toronto is expensive now bro. There is no cheap place in all this areas. The fact that you will still be spending money made from Naija when you arrive in Canada, everywhere is expensive and toronto is even more expensive |
Siga: ….. Bros… don't give false info… there is no standard of 3mil anytime ooo…. the best advise is to have more than enough to cover ur tuition, living expenses and some jara…. if someone gets his/her visa with 3mill… na luck and the Almighty…Please read what i wrote well before you crucify me |
Omila007: You are really flexing the province. No i haven't and i dont know St clair college. I should remind you that not all colleges in Canada are run by the Govt. You should find out if your choice of college is a private one or run by the govt because if you attend a private college, you wont be eligible for anything such as off campus work permit or permanent residence. Meaning, you get kicked out once you are done. |
