We should all try to calm down and not jump at each other's throats....I sincerely ask that some certain information like "a friend of mine saw his/her name on the list" should not be posted on this thread, because it obviously doesn't do anything other than cause confusion and chaos. I also ask kindly that we do not mock each others faith or beliefs.....just because one feels like protocols would be broken for his/her sake or the system isn't flawed, doesn't make one deluded....we should respect each others views and be polite about the things we say...I personally believe there is a really big Guy up in heaven, that smiles down at all this chaos in our minds, thoughts and even nairaland, I am very certain he has good plans for everyone of us......so keep calm and wait for the merit list .....NO SHAKING!!!! #mycaseisdifferent

I can say here that that the PTDF process for the merit list isn't transparent. Someone just told me his name is on the list and he has started preparation to travel. This information is very very true.

Let me say this here to probably encourage someone. Last week, I received an e-mail from a Professor in a UK University. I applied for admission there and surprisingly I was admitted. The school is quite difficult to get into. I hoped to get funding as they received generous funding from their alumni. I couldn't get. The Professor's e-mail was straight to the point 'I am contacting you because you're on of the few students joining the xxxxx research group, of which I'm the leader. Are you enrolling this October ?'

No funds to pay for a minimum of three years school fees. Besides, I am one of those who believes a good PhD should be funded. I told him I would love to but funding is the issue. He arranged a Skype meeting with me which turned out to be an interview. On the said day, he and another Professor were present. It was a firing section. Lol. Those kind of simple questions that you believe you are supposed to know but you don't have a direct answer. One of the questions - Why are horinzontal axis wind turbines usually white in colour ?
Without thinking, I said for visibility. Lol. It turned out to be nearly correct.

The pseudo-interview ended and the Professor told me to expect an update in 24 hours. In summary, I have received a fully funded PhD offer (With some conditions which are okay ).
Brethren, never give up. My interview with PTDF didn't go well. The panel obviously didn't like my area of renewable energy (And I wasn't ready to change It before the interview either.). Surprisingly, everything has worked together for good. It is still like a dream to me. I wish everyone good luck with the expected outcome from PTDF. Don't give up even if things don't go as planned.

owing to the facts that some candidates had about 5 or more questions missing in their chosen subject, will computing the scores based on top scorers among states, be feasible? or will it be based on performance on a particular subject area, since its a relative issue. what do you guys think? cos one thing is clear, those missing questions would not be given as a bonus mark as it would affect other participants.

I dont even want to vex....why won't it be bonus...is it the fault of the candidates that there were missing questions....why should they now pay for it.....I dont agree with that logic....
