Crazy things happen with these 3 things, supplier can short the quantity is a team work with yoir iron bender, Cement big stealing b4, during & after delivery (all worker deal), Granite overall you can get 15tons as 30tons(can you count? No)

Don't give her the idea that she is been ripped off. She have been working with a positive mindset and have constantly told you she uses her in law who is a builder and doesn't know the engineer working.

Her explanations are very clear.
No need making her feel she is not doing enough. She can't be everywhere. Make stress no worry am biko.

The name Check-it-Out was from a satisfying client an igbo-man, after receiving goods(Granite) saying "una men Check it out." i went home coined it to Chekitaut same meaning different spelling.

True. Coz when you supplied me granite of 30 tons at my different site locations. I was very impressed. It was very full to standard. Am like Check it out with other suppliers I used before. The difference was there.

True, it's nice to get them involved. In my case, in any of my project, I ask her first what she will like to see in tbe building... after that... I take control of everything, not as a dictator though. If they get too much involved, the project will suffer. Stupid discussions with their other female friends... will hamper project o. And they want the house finished yesterday even before it starts.

You are right.
Just letting them know what's involved is key. They ain't gonna take the final decision. It's you the money spender that will. They have that sense of belonging when you carry them along and that makes them naturally feel very OK and comfortable with the whole process.

Can someone give me a likely estimate I would spend on my Foundation for a 4 bedroom Duplex. The foundation slab is 114 square meters

Depending on the foundation design, depth and topography of the land. Assuming is normal foundation - roughly 2.3m thereabouts, Raft 3.5m also.

This is just a rough estimate. The design would determine where blocks go or Raft beams are going to pass. So one can't be specific until the design or plan is seen.

LOL. The size and height of a kingpost is determined by the area and size of the building.

I did a building in Lakowe golf course on my thread for 18fit kingpost.

Building dimension is 14m x 26m.

There is one slogan in town now "LEKKI TYPE" they are contemporary design with flat roof. Mr Skimanski, Darenyx, Dennis3D have this contemporary design in archive.

Yeah. I do have alot of designs without pillars.l in front.

I do have a few with pillars as well just as a client request, that's what we follow unless we are given the option to design and propose to a client.

Honestly, I don't like those pillars but I am just trying to accommodate her interest for the last time. But if it would be expensive to add, bros, I no go do.

Simplicity is key. I am a minimalist.

To avoid this subsequently, I always advise my clients to get their spouse involved the design process to avoid too much breakage of blocks and spaces in the building.

It is not needed, and it does nothing for the duplex or any building... and there are plenty duplex without them. People just like them for aesthetic (beauty). Even they have them for many bungalows too.

Exactly, my boss those days at the office would tell you. It's a waste. He doesn't like it. Without been biased, he said it's mostly on Igbo land you find those very much. I smiled knowing fully well am from the east. But then, it depends on client taste. It not a must.
