the 19 year old’s visit visa getting granted will be a very difficult task. I cosign. @denov
As for your son, since he has had the visa before but didn’t use it then apply for a replacement visa vignette . Arrange pof same way you did for previous application.
Thank you. I’ll try and prove that she’s coming back, because of course she has to complete her studies as she is in her final year already . I don’t even understand these uk immigration. Is there any person that will want to come as a tourist and not return? I don’t get it. UK is not sweet to live in if You come as a tourist as remain because you can’t work.

I am a masters student in the UK. I started my program in September 2022 and it will end may 2024, but my visa is for two years till september 2024. i applied for my 10 year old son as a dependant. He was granted visa, but couldn't come to the UK due to circumstances beyond our control. I want to apply for his vignette stamping again since the 90 days has expired. I also want to apply for tourist visa for my 19 years old daughter who is in final year in a Nigerian university at the moment, to come and visit. That is for both of them to come together. I seek advise on the following;
1. How much POF do i need for both of them and for how long?
2. what can i use to support the application?
Thank you for any advice will be appreciated

Is it possible to go to the visa office in Ikeja to do walk-in after paying for standard visa and the date taken is two weeks time? Can one possibly go to the center to pay for walk-in as a single applicant?

Please, do I need to open account with sterling bank first to be able to get PTA in cash. $$? I applied through GTB and they are saying they give only $500 cash. The remaining will be in my card. An anyone help? I need the $4000 on cash. Thanks. Please help a sister.
buchito1:
Do you mean PTA? If it's PTA, then you mustn't open a domiciliary account.

I got $4000 CASH PTA yesterday from STERLING BANK!

And I didn't open a Domiciliary Account.

Hi everyone. Please I need some clarifications: considering the high cut off scores these days and with CRS of 457, is it advisable to do the Saskatchewan or Prince Edward Island PNP?

Denov, please clarify what you mean by POF being up to 3 months for SINP. I'm using 25% pension (which increases monthly) and some mutual fund deposit. Do you mean I mustn't have touched the mutual fund in 3 months or both?

POF. Proof of funds should be at least one month old in your account b4 ITA. After ITA you have just 60days to apply. your funds( includes 25% pension, mutual fund, current and savings account balance)etc. At any point in time the total balance should not fall short of the minimum amount required.

Finally, after expressing interest in a PNP or submitting documents for one, if EE cut off drops, do I get ITA or will I be taken off EE because I have expressed interest in some PNP? I understand I am taken off EE when I get provincial nomination which gives me additional 600 points to my EE scores but want to understand what happens before that nomination happens.

Your expression of interest in a Province does not in any way affect your express entry application.

Thanks

The truth is that your journey is very far with that score..but you can still go ahead create your profile then..do the IELTS.. max it out..then look for other avenues to increase your score like maybe learning French.
You can also go through the Province. PNP route. My CRS is 340, but I got ITA From SINP last year. Though I turned it down because my POF was not up to 3 months.
Just check and see if your NOC is in demand.
Good luck

I had my Bsc Accounting in 2001, MBA in 2006, and Msc Accounting in 2017. I am really considering the education route to Canada. I have never left the shores of this country and i'm 40 years old with 16 years experience as an accountant. I applied for express entry and in the pool with my pof ready. i just want to consider other options of relocating permanently to Canada. Please elders and seniors in the house i need your help and advice.

Check Memorial University, Brandon University and University of Winnipeg. These schools are relatively lower.

Thanks. I need like 30/40 points. I have 409 crs if i max my ielts. Age is not on my side. Are the classes on weekends?
Mamaroon:

It is possible...if you believe it is.

I would guess you can budget 6 to 12 months depending on how much time you have per day to devote to French.

Pls start by registering with AF. You can also read up from the start of this thread for some very useful advice.

Do you need only a few points extra or more in the region of 30/40?

I'm impressed to hear you did better in French. I'll advise you use French as your first language . Most important thing is getting ITA and PR.
Also, i will need your advise on Tef. I have very little knowledge of French from my pry and sec sch. How long do u think it will take me to get a very good score in TEF. ? My CRS is 409 and French is the only option left to boost my crs score as i already have Msc and 15 years work experience in accounting. Pls kindly respond and help me out. Thanks.
Jimiaries:
Good evening everyone. I am a silent reader here and I have learnt so much. I have a question please. I wrote TEF not long ago and my results were very high. Now, if I put French (TEF) as my 1st language and English (IELTS) as my 2nd language, my CRS score comes to 490. However, if I put English as my 1st language and French as my 2nd language, my CRS score drops to 445. Will it be an issue if I put French as my first language seeing as I am a Nigerian and English is our first language here? Or it does not matter which I put as my 1st language? I am worried I might be asked to prove something. Awaiting anyone's response, please. Thank you.

Thanks...nope you dont have to.

Thanks so much. What a relief!
Please, I'm really confused about this POF. I don't want to make mistakes, because the money is not there. I have to source for it from family and friends. I'm creating my profile in the express entry pool while waiting for my ECA from ICES which I sent 14 weeks ago. I believe it will soon be ready.
After that I intend to send EOI through SINP.
When precisely do I need the POF?
Thanks so much as I wait your response as I'm not using an agent rather DIY

It's PPR ladies and gentle men. All thanks to God Almighty.

My journey to cannyland started in 2016, wrote ielts but couldn't get the required scores. So I decided to seek for admission which I got in 2017 but was denied study visa thrice. In the process of applying to schools in US to study my desired course, we got nominated in 2018 by Saskatchewan, this pnp app was almost a year, done in 2017, so it came as a blessing.

Wrote ielts 2ce, spouse wrote after nomination because ielts was expired after nom.

I learnt French in my primary school about25 years ago. I can barely remember anything. Is it possible to write TEF and score reasonably well? I have to start from the scratch. How long will it take me?
Bellerin:

Alas my TEF scores:

CE (Reading) CLB 7
CO (Listening) CLB 7
EE (Writing) CLB 6
EO (Speaking) CLB 8

Funny how I was more confident about writing and I got 280 and speaking, of which I was absolutely terrified, got 360!

Despite losing at least 32 points, I managed to move by CRS from 438 to 448. Thanks be to God.

A few tips from my experience:

Speaking:
1.Be calm and continue even when you make mistakes. Confidence is a French thing!
2. Know a handful of fall back phrases to counter objections (e.g. what are you talking about? What do you mean you're not interested? Remember when you told me that If you had an opportunity like this...Etc. Etc. I used these heavily to buy time when I was feeling stuck)

Writing: Looking back I did not use alot of complex grammar (subjonctif ,etc.) and I have a feeling this was why I didn't score so high.

Listening: when the example is being read to you, scan through the questions quickly and anticipate the dialogue. Listen actively. If you don't hear anything clearly, don't get sidetracked.

Reading: Answer the first 10 and last 10. The section with sentence order is better to tackle as quickly as possible. Practice how to use linking words effectively.

Feel free to reach out if you have any specific question. All the best for the future.
