Well, we cant alienate Tinubu from the problem of Lagos State because of resource diversion. You cant have someone dictating who will be governor without influencing resource control. Apparently, thats the reason why he always have issues with his candidates and it disnt start with Fashola or Ambode, its been there since Bucknor days.

You are partially right because Tinubu isnt the governor and can be directly connected to some of Lagos problems but if he is the visionary leader you and your likes keep claiming he is, then he is part of Lagos problems and challenge by design being the sole decider who becomes what and does what in lagos.

Tinubu isnt the only person that have lagos interest at heart. Many other have, is and will have it more and better if given the chance.

Apart from the Tinubu and Ambode irrelevant noise in the media, Lagos is sliding back and regressing under Ambode, this is purely a situation that must be addressed by the electorates regardless.

Tinubu dictating is one thing, the people entering the voting booth to cast their ballots is another thing.

Tinubu's preference can not force people inside the voting booths and he can not force people to vote for his preferred candidate, the people do that on their own inside the voting booth.

Besides, the same Tinubu is trying to level the playing field with direct primaries where the candidates submit their candidacies to the general population for consideration instead of the old and rumored godfather ways you are talking about.

Other candidates want the job so let Ambode compete against them, it's all up to Lagosians, not Tinubu.

We can now say, what goes around comes around. Ambode was instrumental in the hand of Tinubu then to frustrate Fashola. Only that Fashola remain resolute and his performance in Lagos State couple with love people has for him, he could have lost the ministerial post he attained today base on allegation and efforts to dent his image. Ambode came up with yeye accusations of how Fashola mismanaged state treasures. Meanwhile, all through the period Tinubu kept quiet.

The same script is been acted by Babajide against once most anointed Ambode; how time flies.

Looking at what is happening now, I can say Ambode must have regretted his actions against Fashola then.

Above all, I wish Ambode best of luck and I hope he came out victorious over this trying time.

I respect Tinubu so much and no doubt, he's well respected and he's among the great politicians of our time.

If he has the opportunity to read this, I will encourage him to avoid confrontation with his own godsons; most especially those he has committed some sensitive roles in their care.

If this palaver is not well managed and Ambode should move to another political party like PDP, I can say convincingly that Ambode is capable of winning Lagos State going by his achievements in Lagos State and his popularity. Also, opposition party will not hesitate to leverage on this crack and take over Lagos. Then Tinubu will be the most looser.

Ogun State as case study, if not for the issues between Obasanjo and Gbenga Daniel then that makes Daniel to form PPN out of PDP, Amosun will be no where to be found as Ogun State governor as at when he came.

Ambodde is a victim of his own machinations.

He came in with vengeance and vindictiveness against Fashola and his first order of business was to abandon and eviscerate Fashola's achievements and policies, he even duplicated Fashola's works.

When he relegated LAWMAN, the best waste management agency in Nigeria, Lagosians complained and warned him, but he ignored them while trash and garbage piled up everywhere. That was just needless and suicidal because waste everywhere is basically telling the people that the government isnot working and you are incompetent.

What about the bad roads and pot holes? He did nothing, but Lagosians noticed and complained, again, he ignored them.

Fashola in his first term like Ambode commissioned power plants, roads bridges, hospitals, maternity centers, waterworks, skills centers and so on, but Ambode focused solely on carparks and bust stops.

At the same point, his predecessor have commissioned power plants, waterworks, hospitals, housing estates, maternity centers, roads, bridges, including the best bridge in Nigeria, skills center, started Lagos metro all for less than half of Ambode's N1 teilliob6 budget.

It's all about performance, something many of you can not wrap your heads around.

Accord party yesterday expelled the former Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe, for alleged anti-party activities.

The National Executive Committee (NEC) accused Okupe of causing confusion in the party.

Briefing reporters at the national secretariat in Abuja, the National Secretary, Abiola Ajaja, said Accord took the decision after they invited Okupe several times and he declined to honour the invitation.

“He also refused to desist from such action.”

Ajaja said NEC had been on the issue of Okupe’s disobedience to the party for long, adding that the people who agreed that he should be sacked outnumbered those that wanted him to be cautioned.

She said the NEC considered waiving nomination and expression of interest fees for women, adding that it resolved to reduce the nomination and expression of interest fees by 50 per cent for youths.

“We deliberated on the ‘Not too young to run’ law passed by the National Assembly for youths. We have decided to bring them on board, because Accord is for women, Accord is for youths.

“The youth, who want to contest the election, will pay half of the fee for nomination and expression of interest forms. They will pay half to the party in order to encourage them,” Ajaja said.
