A 20-year suspension of uranium enrichment remains under discussion, though Trump indicated he may accept 15 years. Which one is "permanently restricted to low levels enrichment"? but this was what JCPOA was all about. He should stop trying to make people think he just made a better deal. Mumu man. |

Gbadebo19: So who was supposedly fooled now? Me or you? To be fooled by the great US of A can be forgiven, but to be fooled by one irrelevant and useless Iran beats my imagination. Even an animal can't get fooled so easily. None of Trump's tricks have worked for him. He thought he was smart by deceiving Iran with negotiations in time past but he compounded things for himself the more. You can see the way he is in a rush to make a deal with the country he tried to use brute force to destroy and impose his own will. Now he is back to the negotiation table. Someone who campaigned on the ticket of "no more foreign wars/entanglement" he later allowed Israel to suck him into that entanglement. He knows he has to make a deal before the mid terms else he and his party will be roasted. |

aumeehn: Well the current crop of Iranian leaders especially those that control the Exexutive are the weapon fashioned against Iran, i dont know how people will be so obsessed with getting integrated into the Western Economic System, it seems Pez and Qalibaf arre willing to give the US whatever it wants just to secure Sanctions relief, something that can be reimposed with the snap of a finger under the pretext of agreement violations. There is a Reason why the US and Israel haven’t tried to assassinate Qalibaf since the 12D war, Man singlehandedly weakened Iran after the death of Ra’isi and Abdollahian. He Contested against Jalili under the Conservative Banner just to divide the Votes and give way for the Reformist to Win very easily. I feel it in my Gut! Iran’s enemy at the Moment is Qalibaf very useless fellow, calling himself a ‘DIPLOMATIC SOLDIER’ Honestly, I am thinking Trump will impose those sanctions after the mid term elections. He is still in the business of deceiving the Iranians. |

US back at square one – negotiating with Iran
Analyst Negar Mortazavi says the main thing the US-Israel war on Iran has proved is countries cannot bomb people’s homes and schools and expect them to rise up and overthrow their governments.
“Out of this the core military-intelligence apparatus [in Iran] was able to solidify more power and they’re going to come out of this having more control, at least for a short period after the war,” Mortazavi told Al Jazeera.
She said officials inside the US government haven’t learned lessons of the failure of attacking Iran, however the American public certainly has.
“Poll after poll show the majority of Americans are done with endless, pointless war in the Middle East. [Trump] as a president of peace eventually became a president of war and I would say he launched the most pointless Middle East war,” said Mortazavi.
“He’s achieved none of his goals: the nuclear programme, destroying the army, destroying the navy. It created a new problem, the Strait of Hormuz. Now the whole world wants it reopened, and now [they’re] going back to square one, which is the negotiating table.” |

[quote author=WriteerNg post=139691229]].... It's like Trump does not want highly enriched Uranium anymore. It's like he does not want an end to Iran's ballistic missile programme anymore. America only went to war with Iran because it wants an assurance that Iran won't have nuclear weapons. Trump really need an exit now than ever before. It is glaring. |

FoolishBoy419: Each time I think Trump is not a genius, i look at how he manages to fool supposedly educated people and change my mind He is not a genius. We have to consider the desperation of the Iranians. I understand Iran is in dire need of sanctions relief and they thought the ferrocious response to America and Israel months ago would make Trump see that the only solution to this is a negotiated settlement that favours both parties but what is not clear to them is that the person they are dealing with sees this battle as a battle for his ego. He wants a total surrender from Iran to claim a win which he can sell to Americans and the world. If Trump's frustration is what will make them do the needful then it is good. At times it is good when you learn the hard way |

Talo n'je omo aku warapa ni waju omo aku yan yan 😂 All these do not amount to victory or a strategic gain. Trump is just trying to make people think he is winning. He is trying to sell what is not there. None of the stated objectives of this war from the beginning has been achieved. From regime change to destruction of Iranian missile and drone capability to getting highly enriched Uranium. This is just a sign of frustration from Trump. He won't get the total humiliating surrender he wants from the Iranians and the war will continue to remain unpopular back home. His republican base is already cracking, some republican senators joined the democrats trying to curb his war powers in the last vote that was held. He has sucked himself into a quagmire, It was meant to be a short war to decapitate Iran but there is no end in sight. No exist strategy and he does not want to appear weak or defeated. |

Trump said nothing other than signature or face total capitulation. It is not even about stopping Iran from exporting crude. Has this war translated into a strategic gain for Trump's America? Big No. No solution for trump. |

Regime change (zero). Destruction of Iranian Missile and drone capability (zero). "We obliterated their nuclear program and the capability to build a bomb last year June" (Zero) Now it has turned to give us the highly enriched Uranium that he claimed his bunker busters turned to dust last June. Strai of Hormuz is still there though he is claiming to have escorted some ships. The fact that America is even escoting ships in the strait sef is another failure for Trump. It means Iran retains the capability to strike ships cause if it does not America won't be escoting ships in the first place. How many ships can they escort to and fro everyday. Trump lie lie |

usmanpogo: It appears the Americans had no intention of negotiating, during the so called negotiations the US was transporting tons of munitions for more attacks. Again they negotiated in bad faith, the Iranians need to make up their mind, either surrender or go all out. Alas, both ways the US gets what it wants. The war is about Trump's ego. He is very egotistic. He wants a total humiliating surrender from a country that has what it takes to retaliate against the forceful attack of his America and Israel. A country and leadership that is still standing after decades of crushing sanctions with recent military attack on them. Trump should wake up from his dream and humble himself. If he hasn't understood how stubborn and strong headed the Iranians are at this point then he is very dumb. Iran isn't going down. This tit for tat attacks will continue and Trump won't still get what he wants. He just compounding his own frustration which is evident to all. He has no solution to the mess he created in the Middle East this alone is a defeat and a disaster for him. He is boxed in. |

Gbadebo19: The Moruuns on this thread really thought Trump was begging for ceasefire, they thought Trump was tired of the war. Twitter is full. I can't stop laughing. You just can't mess with America. Comfortable with Iran stalling the negotiations while quietly taking out millions of barrels of oil. This is a masterstroke. 🤣🤣🤣 In all of this Trump/America is still the loser. Iran has shown many times over that it can absorb pain. All these are just frustration from Trump and not a demonstration of might. America and Israel have done their worst months ago yet the regime is still intact, Iran missile cities are still intact beyond the reach of U.S bunker busters. US only managed to block their entrances and they have been cleared and back to pre war state. Donald Trump has boxed himself into a corner. Another JCPOA like deal will be a defeat and embarrassment for him. Iran won't give America the Enriched Uranium. All these attacks are just a show of strength that is absent right now cause the Iran war really exposed the limit of America's power. May be a leader from the democratic party will be able to make another deal with the Iranians but for Trump his foreign policy is a failure. His ego and arrogance killed him. He is not even interested in changing the regime in Iran anymore. Trump has no solution to the mess he created he is so confused. Very unpopular war. |
